Dude. They didn't really set the price. It's a "boutique" guitar I believe. The market sets the price, more or less, and they(bilt) will tweak their prices to make profit. I think it's high too but for what it is, it's priced accurately imo. It's priced high for my budget but that doesn't mean it's not accurate. Plus there are plenty of affordable guitars with great quality. Boutique guitars are in between the big brands and custom shops as far as quality and are priced accordingly.

American made, the best resale value on the market for guitars, noiseless, American, classic pick ups, new saddle system, and an elite hard shell case with wool lining. $1699. No fuzz, pedal built-in, but you can buy one of those for 100 bucks with the difference. Lol
It's a hand made American made guitar with effects built in.
That's one of the ugliest headstocks around, it's like a club foot.
It looks like the 80s Ibanez headstock.
