Thanks! excellent tutorial except for when I tried "format fs=fat32 quick" it asked for the volume label! So I had to use "list volume" command to find out the volume label and then issue "select volume" and then use the format fs=fat32 quick command.
if I skip the "clean" part, will partitioning it and everything overwrite or damage all the stuff I currently have in my usb drive? Cause I want it to be both able to store its own stuff (and I got nowhere else for that stuff to backup) and also be bootable.
good evening sir,pls can you give me the full meaning of the{ /s/e/f} from the command you used when you were copying the files from the mounted image to the flash drive.thanks

Hi Want sure where to ask so here goes. I have software for programming surplus Motorola radios. Currently on a USB DOS 7.11 stick. You boot to the stick and an auto exec.bat file starts a batch file menu where you choose the radio to program. What I want to do is two things (1) create a bootableCD. (2) create a bootable DOS hard drive so I can have it in a caddy for the Panasonic Toughbook. I can then boot read the radio program and save the file, which I can do to the USB or CD. Any ideas?

Bro my question is if I copy iso file n past in flash drive .will it work or First I have to make bootable drive then past iso file in flash drive.please answer
please !!! is this method is used for just boot and install windows or using it to boot and use the computer independently on usb windows and take the data from computer if the original installed windows is crashed ?
Will it work now? For win 10? I have done making the bootable pendrive using Rufus, but it says it can't install on mbr disk type, only on gpt disk types
But I don’t have Windows install disk. All I want to do is wipe my drive before I dispose of this old laptop. Don’t have any disks. There is no factory reset ( as some videos said). I tried prog diskwipe, but said couldn’t wipe c: drive as in use. So, I made a bootable Zip drive. But when I boot from Zip doesn’t see c: drive. Evidently not possible to wipe c: clean for average user. Now I remember why I switched to an iPad.
