Berkeley is a fad these days. In my opinion it doesn’t really equate to much in the music world as far as gigging professionally.
If you can play you can play. You can tell they all come from the same place and that’s schools produce Carbon copies.
Going to Berkeley doesn’t give you a leg up like it used to.
Real artists and musicians don’t care IMO
Berklee students have always been overrated. I've worked with so many of them, they always need to be taught how to work/play and function in bands.
@@chingonbass i’m a current student here and I will have to agree at some point but on some other things I would disagree because I’ve seen some of the best talent in the entire world here People that have one Grammys , people who play with your favorite artist, people who have produced for your favorite artist but on the other hand I have also I’ve seen complete bums so it’s kind of a give or take. It’s a school at the end of the day not everybody is going to be the best skill wise often times a lot of Berklee students take several years just to even become great for example, Charlie Puth
@@braydencranford3926 one thing theyre good for the built in network the school has. Other than that they still come out of that school really useless and need to have their egos crushed, rebuilt and be retrained on how to work when they get out. Once that is done they can leverage their Berkley network and get all the good jobs.
My advice to you, learn how to work, get yourself in a working band, doesn't matter if you hate the music, just go work. And also learn a trade like plumbing/electrician to pay you're bills and buy the gear you want 😂
