  • The Blind Spot Warning (BSW) system will operate when the vehicle is driven at speeds of approximately 20 miles per hour or more and uses the rear camera to detect vehicles in adjacent lanes on either side of your vehicle. The system helps alert the driver when a vehicle is identified in the detection zone.
The system is automatically activated when the vehicle is turned ON as long as it has not been deactivated using the SETTINGS menu in the center display. The indicator light will illuminate when another vehicle is detected in the detection zone. If you activate a turn signal in the direction of the detected vehicle, a chime sounds twice and the indicator light will flash. The indicator light will continue to flash until the detected vehicle leaves the detection zone.
There may be instances when you want to turn the BSW system OFF. You can turn the system OFF temporarily, by pushing the WARNING SYSTEMS switch on the lower left side of the instrument panel and its detector light will turn OFF. You can also deactivate the system using the SETTINGS menu. Use the up and down arrow switch to select DRIVER ASSISTANCE then press the ENTER button. Next, select BLIND SPOT WARNING and press ENTER. If OFF is displayed, the BSW system is disabled. To reactivate the system, press the enter button again.
The Blind Spot Warning System is not a substitute for proper driving procedures. Please refer to your Owner's Manual for more information on this system.
