I hesitate a lot to make any kind of guide. I think the key is finding 3 or more strong builds, that you can make reliably. But I don't even really know one build I can really make reliably. I'm still mostly in the experiment and try to find things that work stage. I can try to explain my thought process more though :)

Terrible starter but for a Pyro okayish one so flame badge clutch. Also one shall not play Ranger.
You can always check item ingredients and cost in 'item info'.
Oh and Anvil change was a nerf to Falcon without nerfing unique ;p I played it a lot before and Falcon could really go brrrr. Maybe I should give it a chance once again but it feels so lackluster now ;/ Also Hammer-Falcon hybrid doesn't like that shape at all :(
Berk is probably the easiest one to play... and the dullest if you don't go Deer or Shaman. If you gonna switch to Berk please don't go Axe or Knuckles as i'm gonna fall asleep watching xd
