Today I do something that you guys asked for a lot, I go infinite. Despite...doing that just recently and not seeing the point, I did have a fun idea to do so. The plan is to play as Scrappy that has an automatic magnet hook as second hook. This does matter a lot since it means we can guarantee to pick up metal items, in case we - I don't know - fill up the entire hook area with items and may struggle to get an attacking weapon. So, what's the plan? Simple. Get hundreds of potions of strength, get a ton of paperclips, and break through the game.

Quick note, if you enjoyed this then I recommend checking out the playlist of the game: ua-cam.com/play/PLEnz2EwvYH7B0NqrHUe0yO1Hhx3qckULU.html
I would like to clarify the early statement I made that I promise this will be the most insane run - not out of spite/downplaying something else, but because it matters to me that such statements are not random/clickbait but mean something (for me). A couple of people mentioned DangerouslyFunny's video where he reached ridiculous Gold values to become unkillable and have also insane damage. This is no longer possible in the game as the gold gain is capped to 100 per fight (out of the perk), which used to be different. But if it was just that, then I would have made a different statement.
I made this statement under 3 conditions:
1) It's the highest floor I have seen after looking through UA-cam (it's definitely possible that I may have missed smaller videos)
2) It has the highest damage number I've ever seen (since I knew health + gold is impossible to ever beat due to the change)
3) It achieved a form of infinity at a reasonable level (as in, you could play it for so long that your savefile would probably rather corrupt than that you would lose)
1) the highest floor I've seen was DF on Floor 48, with a second place going to my other Gold video ua-cam.com/video/WbjOZpEK02E/v-deo.html at floor 32, but that was not being forced to stop. Both runs could've gone a lot further with DF run being able to go WAY further
2) DF's Gold Run relies on Gold which is no longer possible, but his highest damage number had 20 digits. According to people commenting here, the lowest estimated number is 32 digits, but let's math it out:
We simple put 153 into an Excel sheet, multiply the number by 3 and drag that down to repeat it. Since the run shows all the numbers (or if not, I have the recording), I can go through them to follow up (I say that because just calculating didn't work, there was no number that 1:1 represented the video number [Correction, the issue was the search function can't search for results...].
After the first round, I had 1148948376791900000000000000000000000 Strength or 1.14E36.
After the second round, I had 279194455560431000000000000000000000000 Strength or 2,79E+38.
After the third round (including the potion that dropped in but waited), I had 67844252701184800000000000000000000000000 Strength or 6,78E+40.
And finally, before the Paperclip attack I had 1335378425917420000000000000000000000000000000 Strength or 1,33E+45, which is then multiplied by 4.5 (triple Strength as damage and +50% Crit Damage) for the final value of 6,0092E+45, meaning that's 46 digits.
3) The way it would end is that eventually, I'd have to stop take potions since it would run into the same issue as we did with the poison guy. But that's probably another 200-300 potions minimum, if not multiple values of that more. And each of those potions gives x3 to Strength. I seriously believe before the enemies would outscale the amount of potions that can be scooped in, it would rather crash your game.
I understand this explanation, and the game has had updates that add caps to make certain runs impossible now. I appreciate your thoroughness looking into this, and at the same time I think we all just love *_broken runs_* whether it's you or DF or whoever. Great content, love it, hope to see more! Entertaining as hell!
153 * 3^90 * 4.5 is the equation you're looking for, that's exactly 90 potions.
@@woobilicious. Yep. Well, almost. I actually went over the frame when we did the damage and counted all potions, 115 were left, meaning 85 were picked up. Which makes sense since some of them get multiplied, e.g. on round 1 we got a tripled effect (88 potions), then somewhere another tripled and another doubled effect to end up with 85 potions used.
This is not meant as a comment to diminish the explanation but one way to not feel the need to explain yourself to others making comments based on more superficial observations would be simply not to play the algorithm game that DF plays, by giving your videos normal titles and thumbnails. It might bring in less unique views but it would erase the obvious guilt you feel for larping as a low quality channel aimed at grabbing the attention of young children. You don't see those larger channels you are trying to emulate for the algorithm ever bother to even address their audience or explain their actions because unlike you, they don't care about their viewers. You're better than those ghouls.
Thank you so much for your commitment to this. The amount of value you give to your content is unmeasurable and it truly shows you appreciate us watching as much as we enjoy watching you. Just doing the math and getting try hard about breaking the game is such a feat you don't see that much among content creators, and I also value DF's shout-out so much since he is on the podium right there with you and RCE. Keep doing what you do always man and by God we'll watch every minute of the extenuating process to beat and break a game. Also giving an infinite to an enemy while trying to build your own is one of the most hilarious things I've ever seen 😂😂😂
Dex: yes I will get the game to crash
*many, MANY rounds later*
The game, spawning in the poison enemies: fine, I'll do it myself
I like how at 46:40 you clearly can see the math for this game is done with 64-bit floating point numbers. They hold only ~14 decimals, and pad the rest with zeroes.
Probably takes a double as the magnitude and an integer as the exponent, so that ( magnitude * (10^exponent) ) represents the final number. Which means the final number might not be entirely accurate. But this way of storing numbers is very common especially in idle games, so it's very good to see that the developers of Dungeon Clawler thought of this to avoid overflows.
If these numbers are indeed stored like this, it means the biggest possible number possible should be something around ( 1.8 * (10^308) * (10^2147483647) ).
Yeah its insane and extremely funny (and actually imo great design). Like, you could try and get to 308 digits and this game will fucking let you
@@SleepusVoidushonestly never seen an idle game store more than a double precision float but thats pretty cool (only time ive actually seen that system in use is minecraft gregtech power values, even for idle games that is usually excess)
@@kooskoos1234 Lots of idle games do that. Usually ones with multiple layers of prestige. For example, idle dice, antimatter dimensions, and bacterial takeover. However most games don't use a 64-bit float for magnitude and a 32-bit int for the exponent. That's just weird.
@@kooskoos1234 not gonna lie this is probably the last place I expected to see gregtech lol
For anyone who wants to know what the last number was, it was just shy of an octodecillion(57zeros)
Meaning it would have looked like this
600,920,291,662,839,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000
But.... It could be even bigger, because this game has notations the basic +E134 type stuff(saw from DFs vid)
how do you know how many zeroes does it have? When i counted it i couldn't count past 40 cause it didnt fit on the screen. i did use math to try and I started at strength 153 and started multiplying it by 3 and ended up at 6,01299e62 being the closest matching number (next close one is 6,0067e135), didnt bother checking other buffs like perks so there might be a difference.
@@megadeth116 He also had a near 100% crit chance
I think he really broke the game. Usually dmg numbersstart to pop up roughly centered at the enemy, and if you count the numbers you get to about 10^49 damage. Which is way to low.
He chugged roughly 60 (+- a few) potions, and this would amount to somewhere near 10^159 damage. Looks like the game really can't handle those numbers anymore.
@@tierinie probably in the settings
@@certainlynotmalo1.0.06 There's no world where 3^60 is close to 10^159, your math don't math.
153 * 3^90 * 4.5 is 6.00920291662839e45, 153 base strength, 3x multiplier from the potion, 90 potions and 4.5 crit + strength conversion rate.
You deserve a shout out from the creator at this point. Bro you always say THE BEST and stuff and it’s not clickbait every build is better then the last
Haha much appreciated, though I may disappoint that the next video will not be able to keep up with this one...or any video I'll make in the future, to be fair :'D
@@DexTag next level is to brake damage cap in warframe to see negative damage numbers tbh
There should def be a Dex character or item in the game.
Yeah, my similar run ended the same way, with a mushroom dude dropping several hundred thousand poison sacs into the machine. I was using golden daggers, though. It is a remarkably stable game, even when the FPS drops below 1. If you leave it running for several weeks, it might Junk Jet all of the enemies, eventually, but I had to kill my run to reboot for an OS update...
if you exit and rejoin the battle is restarted with different enermys and you can keep going
@@lockedcombo9532 By the time I thought to try that, the time it took for the menu to appear after hitting escape was more than an hour. I mean, that's how long I waited, I have no idea how long it would take in total...

I can stop imagining the guy yeeting a paper clip at near light speed towards a boss.
Nah that isn’t even close to light speed. It’s probably a few decillion times faster
@@kooskoos1234 So basically the paperclip travels back in time and erases one of the boss's ancestors? And thus changes the entire time quantum, meaning the boss could not even exist in the first place, which leads to a paradox that cannot exist in any functional universe and can only be resolved by creating a parallel universe?
Tldr: The guy created a new universe with a paperclip. I think even MacGyver would be a little jealous....
@@kooskoos1234 A paper clip near light speed would easily delete earth from the universe, as its mass and energy would approach infinity the closer you get to light speed. No need to get past an infinitely heavy object with infinite kinetic energy.
They actually used BigDecimal on the game for the damage numbers, so basically you cannot break the game by a very large damage number.
They couldn't defeat you with your damage digits, so they instead went for your frame rate numbers.
I simply love his dedication to dungeon clawler! Its lovely to watch :)
Dex, try this build in Vampire Survivors. Play as toastie and for the weapons go for Legionnaire, Paranormal Scan, and Peachone (Peachone doesn't have to be evolved). As soon as toastie reaches lvl 200, he will gain 65k armour, paired with the Bloodline Arcana. I've tried this and I've dealt over 25 million dmg in a single hit (if you're down to half hp). If you're at full hp, the Retaliatory Legionnaires will deal 4-3 million dmg which is still alot. I got 10 reaper kills then I quit the run before I got bored. In the end result in total the Legionnaires dealt 1.9 TRILLION damage then my game crashed at the end as soon as it tried loading other stuff in the end result screen. Thats the build that I wanted you to try.
I actually had Toastie on my to-do list for ages now, just gotta find the spirit to do it. But that's a good reminder!
hell yea another vs video
@@DexTag Unintentional pun?
Hey my favourite German, i love the longer form videos but i do understand to play for a lengthy period of time gets boring but i love your content no matter the video length, much love❤
At 47:07, if you go frame by frame, you can see the specific single zero that only goes up and down on the screen. If you assume that it is the center of the number, you can infer it has an odd number of digits. By counting the digits to the left of it (23), and knowing it has the same amount to the right of it, it seems to have a total of 47 digits. That was a sixty quattuordecillion (siks-tee kwah-tohr-deh-sil-yuhn) damage!
At 46:40, you can see another big number. This time, when you go frame by frame, you'll notice there is no zero that only moves up and down. Instead, you can find a pair of zeros where one moves slightly to the left and the other slightly to the right during the zoom animation. This means the number has an even amount of digits. When you count them, you'll find there are 'only' 46 digits. You just did about one quattuordecillion damage there!
Awesome run! Thank you for all the effort pour into the run and the editing!!!
3:10 It seems it gave you 2 strength because the perk makes it so the first item gets the ability to give you 1 strength on use but thanks to the magic mirror it was done twice
Edit: 5:28 Well... .w.
When the claw swept the top half of a machine packed with loot at 44m, without even having to grab, I lost it.
Amazing work Dex i loved how broken it was
This was awesome, Dex!!
48:00 if you leave and come back you can restart the level to kill him quickly instead of being stuck / dying
I've never seen this game, never seen this content creator. But now, I want to support both.
Amazing video!
I thought the thumbnail was clickbait, but then I saw it was Dex and got really hype!
That video was insane!
Thank you so much Dex!
THIS video needs to be promoted. It's just satisfying to see this insanity and rarity of the Run

22 minutes in and I looked at the time remaining and just got a massive smile. It's already insane and it's not even half way over.
Omg I had never heard of this game until seeing your playthrough! Definitely a hidden gem of a game and a UA-camr; awesome video!
For reference at 46:41 the number is 101766379051777000000000000000000… Dex, you are truly the breaker of dungeon crawler
I've never played this game. Never even seen it. But this is insane dude. This has been so much fun to watch.
Legend has it that poison spores are still being added to to this day.
Alright alright, you got the like for the torture and many hours of work... and for keeping my full attention that entire time I didn't realized I was focused in so much until you said that and I went "Oh, well, you've earned it!"
Hi Dex I'm enjoying your videos so I will not subscribe. UA-cam stops suggesting me videos of my subscribers
Same happens to me
Facts.
That would be really odd when that happens, because what usually happens is that it suggest more consistantly to people that subscribe. But I assume that means you see a lot more stuff you don't want to watch (totally fine, just trying to think logically) which then leads to a negative feedback (just theorizing)
Yeah Dex, it's been a thing for a long time. My headcanon is that they think we'll click on the subscriptions tab to see the UA-camrs we've subscribed to, but Monkey brain doesn't really wanna do that.

Also, 39:21 that damage was 43,584,805,026.
46:40 damage was 101,766,379,051,777,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000, or 101 duodecillion, 766 undecillion, 379 decillion, 51 nonillion, 777 octillion.
29:35 that is either a programming oversight or an intended feature because the less broken way of implementing reductions is to have each apply individually so 5% off of the 5% off, which is how deals usually work, what they have it so is additive percentage off
Your maniacal laughter keeps me fueled for the whole day. Also you are definitely going to be the reason things get nerfed
for anyone who was wondering the number at 46:40 is 101.766 duodecillion which is 101 followed by 36 zeroes
and the one at 47:07 was 6 quatuordecillion or 6 followed by 45 zeroes
47:05 My boy was obliterated out of existence!
Imagine the whole box is like a stomach and you stomach everything you get. What a cursed image.
i have noticed that with the magnet claw you get better results if you pick up to the left of the pile you are trying to get, so everything sticks to the right side and falls farther over the drop hole
Oh yes please more of this!! 👍
I love it when games can get completely out of hand like this
It say something that I haven’t seen this game before and I can still understand how insane those damage are.
A neat alternate gamemode for this would be; items have no damage/scaling, but quantity is what matters (so you get massive piles to try and dig through, also could be a character that triples all items but is 4x as weak). In any case, a gambler's fallacy delight it would be for normal players who don't know how to meta game, so that they could enjoy this sort of fun on a casual and catered playthrough.
DAMN Great video like always Dex
This is the most epic run I've seen on UA-cam!!!
Love your content! Just subscribed
Local bunny with a magnet for a hand takes performance enhancing drugs and kills god with a paper clip.
Yooo, this video is your 1,234th which is pretty cool for how insane of a run you had
This run really shows how many games actually lacks. The number doesn't matter, but the physic objects really does. I best fix here is to accumulate them in a single object when a certain threshold is reached and give it a distinct color with greater effect (every 10 item). But it will only work until we ran out of psychologically distinct colors (usually 8 for each color in RGB = 512 colors, imagine 10^512 for threshold of 10). But that also means you can't use overflow exploit, if it also applies to player items.
But more logical fix is limiting the spore counts to 200 and show multiplicative amount on each of them, whatever remains from division by 200 goes into normal spores. That more like the game, I guessed.
The "Dynamic Duo" enemy is a Copyright-Free Aegislash from Walmart at home.
39:22 "43,584,805,026"
That 43.6 BILLION!
The simplest build is scrappy with 1 gold dagger plus 2-3 hands of midas and the savings account, picky, and as many fluffy as possible. Remove every other item.
That was amazing. I'm surprised the game didn't crash outright, or get more janky earlier
Your voice is a perfect example of deep but not too deep, unlike my credit card debt which is very very deep
Art thou not entertained!
*After dealing tens of trillions of damage to the boss before your first hook.*

43:25 - deals nearly 6.5 Quadrillion damage
39:20 the damage was 43,584,805,026 damage or forty-three billion, five hundred eighty-four million, eight hundred five thousand, twenty-six respectively.
It seems the dev thought ahead of time and used a floating point variable, which uses exponents in its calculations to allow for bigger numbers at the cost of limited number accuracy.
You can tell because after a certain amount of numbers it ends in a bunch of zeros
Magnet, golden dagger, anything that increases cash flow.
Did a 210 floor run using that combo. Forget what I did for defensive, maybe just the artefact that adds HP for coins. Either way, after a while it’s really easy to get 300+ coins a round. I can remember a single golden dagger dealing in the ballpark of 21m in a round
keep up dude its fucking most enjoyable video i ever seen and respect that effort you put into the research and not clickbait the title
46:39 after close inspection, that is
1.0176637905177 X 10^41 or somewhere around there. That is one hundred duodecillion!
The amount of luck needed to get the early setup is just as impressive as the insanity it devolves into at the end
39:21 43 Bil
43:26 6.4 Tril
46:40 LARGE (damage goes off the screen so i can't see all of it but what i can see is at least 1 Decillion, or a million^5 *1000)
before watching this is the most insane run ive ever seen but ive never watched this game so its a given
at 46:40 it was already 35 numbers, thats 10 decillion and the best part is there were still more numbers off the screen
Lmao, the frog making things bigger actually helps
Did i liked the video? NOO!! cause i LOVEDD ITTT!!!
Also how did you not go insane by listening the background music for 7 HOURS?!
Hahaha I usually have the music/sounds of games VERY quiet while I play, which is sometimes a problem since it means sounds and music might be off when I edit them (as in, I can't adjust them there anymore). But honestly speaking, the music is very nice, it's more of a "its in the background and you don't really notice it" music
@@DexTag Yeah makes sense, btw love your content man. Keep making good stuff🤗
Was here when it rolled over to ten k likes... It does a fun flashy animation when it does that. Congrats on the run
Imagine your a boss and this tiny fuckin rabbit chugs 80 potions, gets so absurdly jacked, and then throws a single paperclip at you that hits you so hard it tears a hole in the fabric of reality
This has become my new favorite run of this game! I’m gonna call that the San’s Ending because that enemy decided you were not going to have another turn. 🤣
Oh my goodness I am so glad I came across this video!
at 46:40 the damage is 1e42 if im not wrong, which is 1 tridecillion, 17 duodecillion, 663 undecillion, 790 decillion, 517 nonillion, 770 octillion, and i take a wild guess some estimation of everyday objects at that quantity in a sphere gets us the diameter of the sun's atmosphere if not more, and is probably over the age of the universe if put in microseconds
and attacks that hit past that point i get the impression it finally goes offscreen, and imo it's the smallest size when it just appears, so that's when most of it is readable
Really satisfied with the last decision where you leave only 5 paperclips.
Mmm yes a paperclip doing over 43 billion damage that makes sense
46:40 101,766,379,051,777,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 or one hundred one novemdecillion, seven hundred sixty-six octodecillion, three hundred seventy-nine septendecillion, fifty-one sexdecillion, seven hundred seventy-seven quindecillion respectively
You hit that bomb for at least a decillion damage!! That's 30 digits! MINIMUM!

Copilot: Eine Zahl mit 40 Stellen ist eine sehr große Zahl. 😂😂
I've been waiting for ages for Dex to use this character. Using Hand of Midas and Magnets would pick up everything magnetic. (obviously) Imagine a run with the one shot gold dagger.
Isn't this ridiculous. The dagger is more an early game than late game tool in the context of endless. Gold gain caps out pretty quick to a flat few hundred a turn, compared to the extreme exponential growth of throwing in 30+ strength potions without even using the claw.
It can get very very far, but it's growth will eventually slow down to the point of being slower than enemy growth.
@@michaelwatkins4155 Still would be fun to watch.

you should have upgrade your item at the early stage as the price goes UP every level. Is a pain to see you skip that at the early stage. but it is amazing you get everything FREE later game! very nice play! TQ for the video.
I didn't cause it wasn't really necessary because I knew I go endless and the only thing I had to make sure of was having enough Gold to delete everything, to build up HP and to have Gold Dagger damage. Like none of the early items were still in the run later on, I didn't end up upgrading them, I destroyed them. And for the rest I didn't upgrade them until the cost of the Blacksmith was reduced to 0
