Ford Fiesta Caught In A Blizzard!

  • We received a call for a Ford Fiesta that was stuck in the snow on the lava point Road.
Lava point Road is on Kolob mountain, and leads to a portion of Zion national park.
We found the customer in the same spot we find almost everybody on this road. It is a nasty, 1/4 mile long dip that has several features that makes it difficult to climb out of.
We were able to hook up to the car and get it pulled to the top with relative ease, but I also noticed that the ice sheet was starting to form that is a characteristic of this particular “trap”
The customer noticed that we were shorthanded on the filming crew, and offered to help by flying the drone, and running the camera, alternately.
It turns out she was an accomplished drone pilot.
Without her efforts, I don’t think we could have captured the shot on this one.

I've never commented on a YT video. I'm not into Jeeps, off-roading or towing either. Something about this channel is awesome and I can't stop watching. There is something to be said about making an honest living and going home to a great family. What a beautiful state you folks live in. Thanks for the awesome content!

Yeet Cannon That’s actually all that life is about. This hedonistic, superficial, follow your impulse and be happy in the moment bullshit is just an intentionally destructive narrative being pushed by those that wish to profit off of the fall of western civilization.

It's unhealthy how many times I've watched this video...when I followed the links to Carlin Ma's photography and music I just fell off my seat thinking about how much humility it took for someone so accomplished in her own right to just jump in and help film this recovery like it was nothing. She didn't even drop a hint that she was actually a real celebrity. No wonder Carlin Ma and Matt's crew met up like this, it's destiny. Genuine humble people flock together...

I cringe a little at the use of hard shackles in a recovery line and the pintle hook and tow hitch freak me out, I have seen things fail and also injuries from failures. Something small to increase your safety factor would be a few hand held communication radios you can give one to customer to tell them to straighten their wheels ...

Another awesome video, Matt! Those snowy drone landings bring a tip to mind. For about ten bucks you can get a folding drone landing pad that you can toss down for the drone to take off and land on. Also gives it a great target for the automatic "return to home" feature. The cloth pads are just thin tent material and come with a wire rim so you can twist them into a figure 8 to fold them really small. The one I got was called "Homga Drone Landing Pad" and it was $13 on everyone's favorite ecommerce site. For me it is a life saver when landing on sand, grass or snow given how short those DJI drone legs are. Stay safe out there!

Dogs are just as happy running around in the snow as they are running around in the crazy heat!

Hooked on your videos. Your Photographer’s are the hardest working photographers I have seen.
