Mangini handled with grace, respect, and care. He was supportive without being obtrusive, and feeling without being sloppy. The dynamics and sway are gorgeous. He is a truly gifted musician. We're lucky to experience such a phenomenon. This performance overall is just majestic and beautiful - from all members. Petrucci's solo.... Thank you, DT. I just learned a couple hours ago that loss one of my old drum students. He was grown, had a Wife, and kids. He was recently separated or divorced, and struggled with alcohol. He was a good student, and really funny. We weren't too far a part in age so I always stayed in touch. It's heartbreaking. I wish I would have known the depth of the troubles and that I might have been able to help. Thanks, Ryno. You were one of the most memorable drum students I ever had.
