I am South African. Never paid any attention to the royals until when Kate and Wills got married. But after that, I cannot help to follow their every move. In my opinion the US thinks Catherine, Princess of Wales is true royal gold. I didn’t follow the Monarchy till Princess Diana but became obsessed when Princess Catherine married Prince William. I admit that when Meghan come on scene I wan intrigued again.
Now I am physically sickened when I see all the damage and destruction Harry and Meghan have caused. It almost makes me embarrassed to be an American as we are associated with Toxic Meghan. They are disliked Globally, actually they are Global jokes.

I am Canadian and love Princess Catherine and Prince William. My boys were born the same year as William and I have followed the monarchy since Diana was married to Charles. William and Catherine have a much better show of solidarity in public and they seem to truly love each other and have a wonderful future together training their children for the next generation of royals down the road. Very disappointed in Harry tho. He always knew he was to support William but he did not want to play 2nd fiddle any longer. Harry could have been so much more than who he is now.

@@deborahcurtis1385 I agree..there is alot to be said for ordinary..down to earth, related to the common people..she reminds me of Diana. William indeed chose his partner well. I like that she does not go out of her way to upstage William...a quality that was not found in Diana.
I also like that she and William often go about their duties on their own...both are becoming more confident in their own abilities and confident in their ability to relate to the people.

@@KristieMAC1 Downe House School is a boarding school for girls aged 11-18 in the UK. Catherine went there for a few months but found it not to her liking so she switched to Marlborough College, a co-educational boarding school that was better suited. I understand Downe House was full of mean girls and lots of cliques, and she was picked on quite a bit. They didn't think she fit in with their high society culture. She was probably just too nice, but I imagine they're sorry now!

Her parents did a great job. I think by watching the wedding and her dad rubbing her hand with his thumb when he could feel her nervousness she and her father are tight and she has learned how to be a lady by her mother and how children need hands on parenting. Ii think william found a great lady, partner, mother for his children and friend. Her family has been a good influence on wills
Kate is the royal family’s greatest asset in my opinion. As an American, I wouldn’t care at all about them, but Kate is a joy to watch and listen to, and I respect William because Kate does.

I’m Russian.When I look at Princess Cathrine I think that she is impeccable, it’s either mixture of her appearance, intellect and behavior in public or result of image-makers, some plastic surgery and dentist work on her teeth or those all together.Anyway I wasn’t ever a fan of a Royal Family but looking at her makes me think she is one of the most attractive Royals of last several centuries of British Monarchy.

Meghan could have learned SO much from her! I was initially very excited for Meghan & to see what the 4 of them would do. Unfortunately my spider senses started going off about MM here from the States. Their last break up before getting back together was explained by Prince William, that he wanted her to know what she was getting into being with him and eventually marrying him. She took her time and made her choice. I wished Harry and Megan had done that before getting married. Maybe he would have ended up getting his 4some like he wanted with someone else, maybe. It's sad to see where the brothers have come to now. It will be all on her shoulders to clean up the monarchy and I know she'll do a great job because her children will have to take it up after them and she's a great mother, so that will be her motivation to do so.

I was believing Princess Catherine doesn’t like this nickname Kate, she always says that her name is Catherine, do you ignore that, or you don’t mind? Is it normal that a French woman I am, noticed that and always names her Princess Catherine?

One thing I admire and respect about Prince William and maybe he learned it by watching what the Royals did to his mother, he respects his wife, It’s obvious he loves her. He stands beside her and she allows her to be herself. Of course, this protocol this royal protocol is so ridiculous in this century
I don’t believe Kate ever gave the prince an ultimatum. There was too much at risk. She’d spent too much time trying to capture the prize.
Supposedly, it was Carole who told William, basically, to shit or get off the pot, with my daughter!! 😅 Meaning, if you truly love my daughter, and you've been together for most of 10 yrs, then propose, or let her find someone who truly loves her. William was so worried then, he promised Catherine they'd be engaged within a year's time. And he explained why it took him so long. His parents disastrous marriage... He wanted to truly make sure that Catherine really knew what Royal life was all about; how hard it is... Because his Mum Diana didn't get any true exposure to what Royalty really was about, and he felt his father Charles was cruel to Diana and expected her to like, "get it" right away, with no background, experience etc. And big point was Princess Diana was barely only 20 when they married!! She not only was so so young, and just learning about the real world, but then, right after marriage he expected her to *snap* get "Royal" and know what to do!!! It was cruel. That is why William was smart; he and his family exposed Catherine to Royal life incrementally, to make sure it was the life she'd have to deal with. Their love was strong, but smartly, he made sure it took small steps to break her in, to see if she would truly want all the huge responsibility. I love him for doing that. I believe if Charles exposed Diana alot slower, they would have had a huge chance of really making it work. The Queen, supposedly, said she felt the same and wished they could have done much differently. Princess Anne said it too, in a Royal author's book... Ahhhh hindsight is 20/20....But I believe Princess Diana and her loving spirit, somehow gave him the true gift of meeting Catherine. I pray I'm still around, when those 2 are Coronated.That's one beautiful match. It's a blessing.
However, I really really wish Harry took Meghan through it much slower... I think it shocked her, how much her life would really change. If they did so, they'd probably still be working Senior Royals. But then again, Harry has brought up in past, that he would love to not be a spare, and be more independent. It's so sad bcuz Diana raised him to be a help mate to his brother, when he takes the throne. It is so very sad, what all happened. Truly, we'll never know all the details, but it was complicated. I just feel so awful that those 2 extremely close brothers, are like this now....Who knows? Possibly when William becomes King, maybe he'll feel a pull from Diana's spirit, to possibly help him at times. Ahh..

I dont think shes as freindly as she seems simply because you can see the state that family is in know. I know what happened to harry and meghan is not her fault but i sometimes i think if she was a little more welcoming that things may have been different. Catherine was taught her job by Prince Philip. She has to be tough. She's lovely, kind, beautiful and does a grand job. Catherine was going through a tough pregnancy, given birth and becoming mum yet again. How on earth has anyone got energy to deal with anyone. I also believe with no doubt that she even suffered post natal depression. Four is always a crowd. They didn't have time to gel especially as they are both strong women. Meghan should have done what she was advised to take time out, learn things slower and start of with more privacy regardless of what she wanted to. The Royal machine cogs work slowly. Shame Harry came out of the forces as they both could of come into their own and then just got on with stuff. Like her or loath her she has to realise one cannot jump, change movie set etc just like that. It takes years. It's not an easy life as many may feel it is. No one is perfect, not everyone is perfect etc etc. Perhaps Meghan could of tried harder or Harry let others teach her instead of him showing her. I truly think Harry needs help and all Meghan knows is what's been told by him and other snippets by others. We are outsiders looking in. Love Catherine personally, think she does an excellent professional Job.
