I would still say so, you are the age you feel. As long as you know how to navigate computers and are willing to do the work and be coachable. If you look around on LinkedIn a lot of the Enterprise Account Executives are older. I assume there is a trust factor there as well when it comes to business owners making decisions on really big deals.
It depends on what you feel better aligns with you. How fast can you grow in management consulting? Is there a commission structure + a base salary. Is there flexibility? Whichever one can answer the most questions that you need would probably be best for you.
I've been in tech sales for coming on 3 years now, started as an entry level no EXP SDR, making about 75k per year at 24 years old, now I am 27 working as an SMB account executive at a SaaS company, yes I work a lot, 8-9 hours per day 5-6 days per week but let me tell you it pays off, in just 3 years I went from making 75k per year, to now I am bringing in about 150k-200k per year, I love my job and wouldn't do anything else, also I want to mention, NO COLLEGE DEGREE!
Love to see it! Things can definitely change for you in a short period of time if you work towards a goal and stay coachable. Appreciate the testimony!🚀
Just got my first BDR role at 21 with no college degree!! (Through various door to door sales experience) hopefully I can scale like you! Let’s connect!
Very true- I have been in tech for over 10 years-- 150k isnt worth it if youre work life balance isnt there. start your own business work hard develop your own.
That’s a fact! You definitely want to use that salary and the knowledge/relationships you make to build something outside of the role so you can always be in charge of your ‘lifestyle’ Great insight man!
I’m a retired athlete that had to stop due to some medical problems. I did finish my degrees but as I’m still rehabbing I believe that I could use Tech Sales as a way to find my own personal growth and freedom. Giving me the same amount of challenge that I had been yearning for the last 2 years. Really want to use my code switching skills and charisma to try to begin to lay foundation for my life.
Yea it can definitely be a space for you to do that. You would be surprised, there are a lot of former high level athletes in tech sales and they do very well.
Bro it’s good to see your still consistently dropping these videos up here. I started following you the beginning of 2023 when I was starting course careers. I stopped the course, but I’m getting back into it now so I always appreciate the gems. 💎 ✊🏾
Somewhat got offered a job in tech sales, I’ve been watching your videos. I’m 17 years into my current career and company. Scary to make the leap to a different industry. My main concerns with a family are scared to fail and of course tech layoffs I’ve been hearing of. I have a number of friends that already do it. And they say take the leap but it’s just crazy to think about for me being so dep in my current industry. Appreciate your videos. Thank you.
Yea I appreciate you taking the time to check out some of the videos. Yea I do see how that could be tough for sure. That is quite a long time, you can definitely lean on your friends to see if it’s worth it for you. And weigh out the option. You got this?
Another great video! Just started making the transition into tech sales and this video only further confirms that I'm making the right choice for me! Thanks for the continued motivation
I'm a Regional Manager for a roofing company. I have been wanting to change my career path after being in the industry for 20 years or so. I think Tech is going to the moon and I want to get on the rocket! I have little to no experience...but I'm ready to learn something new. I appreciate the information in this video! Very informative and eye opening to what I could expect.
the interesting part is, I've seen most of these being said about software development as well lol, burnout is also talked about, and the rejection you said is comparable to the frustration of building hard things
"Who just goes to work with no goals to hit?" Quality Control in manufacturing. Day in, day out, it's the exact same workload, if I do it faster, I just create more free time.
I like this, it's very empowering. I have been on a positivity roll lately trying to maximize my vibration to garner better outcomes. The field of technology is changing, but money is flowing toward new things, nothing moves without sales. Learn what is blowing up and follow it, that is all.
Hey trey! I’m currently 21 going on 22, I’ve been working within the hospitality and restaurant industry since 15. Im eager to make the move into tech just have a feeling of falling behind due to putting so much time into the restaurant industry. However I’ve been unhappy with the lack of work, life and balance as well as pay. Im willing to learn and push myself. During Covid, I created and ran a business with reselling shoes and got an amazing feeling from it. But ended up going back to the restaurant industry because it’s all I knew and had a talent for it. Just looking for some advice! Appreciate you
Sup Kyle! Yea sometimes we can do something for so long it seems like that’s all for us. The bootcamps can get you experience or you can use that reseller experience if you are confident in that and apply to ‘hospitality tech’ companies since you have experience there. Just google hospitality tech companies or think about the software that you use daily. Those companies probably sell their technology to other companies, but you can use your experience in hospitality to break in and get experience and then more to whatever space after that. Hope that helps💯
I have experience in hotels so I know how it can feel. I also ran my own business at one point and now I’m wanting to go into tech sales. I’m a bit older and spent more time in the industry and what I’ve learned is the power of transferable skills. There are tech companies that have products and services for restaurants and that’s where you’ll have the most leverage. Find out what type of software you’ve used in restaurants and then research those companies and their competitors
I thought about this as a barber … being that I sale myself everyday for the past 10 years. I’ve been open to this career path for more freedom and bigger salary
Yea you could definitely use some of the skills. It’s B2B but ultimately you are talking to people just like you do as a barber. You could always use the tech money to then buy a barbershop down the line.
As someone that has been in sales for 6 years in finance and insurance these reasons aren't just tech sales related but sales in general. I do have an interest in tech and looking to break into it so thanks for the video I believe I will find success in tech sales. Also you had this dope numbers hoodie on in one your earlier vids.... good job tech bag trey 😂
I agree! And yea they will definitely love to have you in tech with that much experience! I appreciate you checking it out. That hoodie is one of my favorites for sure! lol Aye Aye Aye, Aye Aye Aye🍊
Yea you could always manage the teams. But a lot of times because the sales team knows so much of the product you can move into a lot of different lanes in the company.
My reasons is the lifestyle. I already work in sales but I don’t receive incentive which I would like (Home Depot windows and doors) I can easily talk to a strangers People find it easy to talk to me in person 60k job Want to do something new and this Align with what I want I can travel Talk to people Constantly improve. Especially with talking because I had a hard time. Always learning and improving With support. 1 thing that is holding me back is not having the money to buy the course.
Yea those are definitely good reasons for sure. The good thing is this role is not going away so whenever you get everything together there will still be plenty of time and roles ready for you💯
im excited to get stared with tech .. i think whats holding me back is the inevitable changes ans the navigating ith the different unknowns of tech ... im still pondering the idea
Yea it’s always unknowns in new things. Maybe check into what’s the max upside for what you do now and the max upside for the space in tech you’re looking into.
TY for this man. Just discovered you today, appreciate you! Love that Good Burger shirt too, dope! I'm just starting to research about tech sales as one avenue into tech, although I'd more so wanna get into front end design at some point but I currently work in a call center for over 2 & 1/2 years and looking to transition into a better higher paying job asap where I'm not doing the back to back 30-70 calls with mostly angry people every day! I've gotten a lot of software and application experience from it which I'm grateful for but I've got a Bachelor's Degree too so I know I'm qualified for a lot more and need a lot more money for financial goals, so considering my options to get a strategy together quickly! Thanks again. 🔥💜😊
considering tech sales because i have a recruitment background! i am a business owner looking to sharpen my business development skills hence the reason why tech sales sounds appealing to me. Looking for a career i can grown in while learning skills to build my business.
Hey P, the one I recommend is CourseCareers, it’s the easiest and most cost effective. You can check out what they have to offer for Tech Sales here www.GetInTechToday.com It’s also the first link in the description.
I'm a fairly recent college grad and have an interest in sales because it relates to the call center experience I had in college cold calling alumni and parents to garner donations. The call center experience influenced me to launch a sales career. I have worked in sales for 4 months and didnt like my sales role at the org i was in. I'm not sure if its sales I dont like or was it just the org. Not sure if all sales jobs are the same.
I’ve been in a few types of sales spaces. I can tell you not all sales spaces are the same. Maybe take a look at different sales industry spaces “Day in the life” videos and compare it to the org you were in. I’m sure you will see some difference
Thanks for the video. I keep thinking about it. I have managed a staff of a retail boutique, and now own my own store for the last 14 years. But retail is hard on the body. I’m considering tech sales because I am a people person. That’s my jam, I just need the knowledge. I suppose there is a bit of fear holding me back. In my 50’s, considering this as my swan song as both my kids will be in college on the fall. Do you suppose I have the right kind of skills?
Hey Lass! Glad you got something from it. Yes you definitely could use your skills in the space. Being in retail there are certain things you’ve picked up on how to talk to people find what they need and deliver. There are probably “Retail Tech” companies that you could go with so that you can speak directly to the experience you have that they could use.
Seeking tech sales career advice: I'm a junior data engineer pondering a shift to tech sales. Friends and colleagues think I've got what it takes. But I'm torn. Is it wise to invest more time in data engineering for stability? Then I could explore sales roles later. My main worry is hitting 30 soon. Still, I believe the right opportunity is worth the wait. Your thoughts are welcome.
Normally people can see more in us that we see in ourselves. I’m sure you definitely do, but you could always wait. You could continue at your current tech job become a data engineer and have a year or two experience there. Then if you still feel you want to tech sales you could start shadowing some of your teammates in your spare time while also having conversations with the sales managers there. If you want to make the jump then you should be in a good spot, but I wouldn’t worry too much about age. If you absolutely don’t care for data engineering already then you could go ahead and pursue, no need in delaying the inevitable.🚀
@@TechBagTrey Thank you for your thoughtful response. It seems like somewhat delaying the inevitable, as I envision transitioning away from a technical role to management or another business aspect within tech eventually. Staying in my current role offers the advantage of returning to engineering with more experience if I decide to leave sales. I'll continue to weigh up my options but from the perspectives and experiences of my friends in sales, sales seems like a lucrative path for me and the only opportunity available to me with truly unlimited upside. Thanks again
Hey Trey, I love your content and thank you for bringing in some knowledge to light. I'm currently in finance and have sales experience, recruiting, and team building but im also interested in learning new things. So 3 days ago i got in coursecareers and will be getting my certificate by the end of the week! Any insights where I can get in some experience?
Simple is if your are not making sales your whole life is hell, and I am in exact situation and the problem is the only thing I can do is customer support or sales
Im 56 and dont know if i can do...im tired of living pc 2 pc. I just want to really succeed at something besides grunt work. Guess ive been afraid at failing at this.i know nothing about tech stuff.
I definitely hear you on that. For things to change you have to change. You don’t have to know about tech, just the company you will work for and how they help other businesses.
Yea there are others who I’ve talked to that were transitioning from there. There is a good work life balance once you know what you’re doing. Here is a video that I think will give some more info The Pros and Cons of Working in Tech Sales: Is It Right for You? • Tech Bag Trey ua-cam.com/video/iVaLQWT-MR0/v-deo.html
I have been wanting to get in a career where my work ethic is compensated monetarily. My emotional intelligence is strong enough to deal with the stresses of the work. I’d be in course careers already if I had the money. That is the only thing holding me back but I know once I have it that’ll be the best investment I’ve ever made. Let’s get to the bag 💰
considering getting into tech sales, I don't know where to start. However, I have an extensive sales background in the beauty industry, I just don't have the experience selling SAAS products.
Hi Chrissie, You can start by going through some of the videos on my channel, maybe the ultimate SDR Q & A, and the interview video. Based on your background if you feel comfortable you could apply and try and get get in. Maybe going to Beauty SAAS companies (if there are some you know) that would give you a leg up. If you aren’t, you could take a bootcamp and get the specific tech sales info like I did through somewhere like CourseCareers. That’s what I did, and it helped fill in the gaps of my sales background specific to SAAs products. Hope that helped!
Hi not at all, you are selling things businesses need. You are selling tech. Wherever you work not you are using some kind or tech or a software. That what you sell in tech sales. Think of Apple, Microsoft, Facebook, Amazon, those are tech companies that other businesses need and use to do their business.✌🏾
@@TechBagTrey ok this is very interesting do you have any recommendations that provide a more thorough insight into what this would look like? Maybe other UA-camrs or websites, please? Thank you sir
I hear a lot about how course careers partners with companies so you have a job upon completion. However, I’ve heard from others that these companies aren’t quick to hire and there is only about 4 of them. Would you recommend still doing course careers or a different bootcamp or nothing at all.
They do partner with companies for the tech sales side, it’s mainly to give you a good chance at getting hired once you complete it (nobody guarantees). But you will need to score high to stand out, but there are still people getting chosen before they even start applying. I still recommend CourseCareers, because you won’t even have that chance anywhere else, then there is also the amount of people you have the opportunity to network with and see who’s hiring right now etc. Also, there has been and still is too many people going through it and getting a job. I would not recommend nothing at all, because you still need to understand the language of tech sales if you want to stand out in interviews and going through a course is going to give you that.
Hey Trey I’m 22 I work in sales selling furniture and mattresses now for 2 years. I made 60k in 2023 I know I can make more this year and by more I mean like 70k but I just don’t think this job is really that scalable if I become a sales manager I’ll make like 80k but than that’s it you see what I mean. With Tech it seems like it can be more scalable money wise and position wise. But for the first time in my life I feel uncomfortable of going into tech because I don’t want to downgrade and make less than 60k if I make the move. So should I listen to that uncomfortable feeling and do it?
Sup Jason, Great stuff especially for your age! I see what you mean, the difference in tech is there is a bonus component that you can scale. Since you do have a job that you don’t want to go down on. I would keep working there and only leave after you get a tech sales job that’s higher than 60k. You definitely can find them and since you have experience, you will be good. Keep it up🚀
It’s an entry level role, so they aren’t looking for you to be great, just coachable. Calling businesses is not the same as calling regular people. Idk what to tell you on that part. Go to LinkedIn or Indeed and lookup the salaries of Sales Development Representatives and Account Executives. You were just exposed to something new, exposure leads to expansion. There is a lot of money out here and opportunities, just because we don’t know does not mean they don’t exist.👌🏾
4:55 it’s very simple , the world wouldn’t make sense if everyone was the same , some people had very bad experiences with people and over time developed a distrust/dislikes for people . I’m very good at making friends , communicating but I’d rather stay at distance from humans , yes I like dogs better 😊
Yea but you can’t throw away all people just because of a few bad apples. I’ve just found it’s a lot easier to have good experiences with people if I’m looking for reasons to like them, instead of reasons not to.
I'm considering a pivot in my career because Social Services is great but it doesn't offer the opportunity to make six-figures without a Master's degree. I love my job but I rather be in a Career where I'm able to make a lot of money so I can create socialist and community-based organizations where I'm able to assist these same people on a higher scale, if that makes any sense. I never considered getting into sales because I never thought I had the personality or the voice for it. In my early 20's I was offered an insurance sales job and completely hated it (No base salary). But I recently learned that sales jobs are not about selling, it's about filling in the blanks and providing what people need so we don't have to sell to them. That's pretty much what I do now as a Counselor. Luckily, everything you're listing in this video aligns with my desires for a Career. But I'm still trying to figure it all out. Sorry for the lengthy comment.
Hey Lina! Yea I definitely feel you on that! That’s a great reason to look to pivot. I’m sure there are some tech companies that are in the social services space as well that would love to have your passion for it on board. There are people with all types of personalities in tech sales so you will be fine. I have a Q & A tech sales video where I answer a lot of the questions people ask, if that will help. Keep me in the loop, you got this💯
@@TechBagTrey Heyy Trey, Thanks for your response! It means a lot. I would love to join your Q&A cause it's a great place to start the study into this career. My main concern now is the actual transition. I literally started this job a few months ago and it's pretty much secured. I love my supervisor, my co-workers, and it's a super supportive environment. But I've always been the Entrepreneurial & competitive type. Mentally, I'm in between "Should I be loyal and use this company to grow my character and connections first?" or "Should I just do course careers and pivot as soon as possible?" is there any way to do both at the same time(I doubt it). Sooo many questions? How do I join your Q&A? 📚 Thanks, Lina
@LegitLeens Lina, No problem! Yea that’s an interesting spot for sure. You really could go either way and could make a good choice. I can get you on it. Just hit me up on IG it’s in the description and I can get you the link for next weeks.
Trey, I’ve been watching content on how to get into tech sales for months but I have a question- will I get hired with 5 diff misdemeanors on my record. I want to pay for course careers, but will I even get hired with misdemeanors? Do they discriminate?
Yea I see what you’re saying. Do some research on that one before you pull the trigger on CourseCareers. Lookup some background friendly tech job boards in (your area). They have them out there, like cornbreadhustle.com that’s in Dallas. Search those first, to see if you see any tech sales roles on there. Another one is felonyrecordhub.com ( basically if they will take a felony then they will take a misdemeanor.) Hope that helped fam
Yes it can. I’m sure there are software tools you use everyday in money management. Those are tech companies you could go to with your experience, I’m sure they could use someone who knows the space already.
What should I do for my very first step i understand tech will continue to grow been in retail all my life the shoes aren’t cutting it tho lol my thing is im 29 idk should I go to school for this ??or im just everywhere really lol 😆
The first link in the description is all the info you need to get in. The first step is to learn the info and what they are looking for. You can go to college if you want but the price doesn’t make sense. Start with the free course and they will give you the streamlined way to get in tech
Bro, this presentation is very vague though. I'm looking to branch into tech sales but so far every video I've watched in regards to it gives general information at most. 1. What does someone even "sell" in tech sales? What is the exact name of the products? 2. What are the product types? I know it's software, hardware and a service, but what exactly does that service entail? What is the name/type of the hardware components? Is the service rendered to the customer through a third-party? or through the company I'm selling it from? 3. Are these products researchable? Because If I'm going to sell them, I would at least want to research them to familiarize myself with them prior to even engaging into selling them. Difficult to sell a product you have zero knowledge about because if the offeree asks you basic questions about these products you wouldn't be able to even answer them. I just have so many questions and the majority of tech-sale videos don't even come close to answering any of them. Just flat general information that isn't actually useful.
You should go through some of my videos and a lot of your questions would be answered. Maybe start with my SDR Ultimate Q & A or my SDR Day in the life. Also you’re selling technology, most people don’t say the exact product because of the range of the types of products. It could be a type of software that businesses need, to selling Microsoft products to businesses. Open your mind to think, (anything that is a software is technology) even the job you work at now is using some sort of software to get through the day, that is technology.
@@TechBagTrey Listen man, I'm already a Coder/Programmer who codes algorithms, data sets, functions and software etc. so "Open your mind to think" doesn't apply to me and is a condescending way to respond to a commenter who's seeking answers. The very reason why I'm putting in inquiries shows that I am doing just that, thinking! If you don't have videos to answer the inquiries then that's cool. There are other channels to view other than yours. Don't assume that I'm just some random individual who's completely brainless about anything revolving around tech. I'm just looking to increase financial gains through multiple avenues.
@whathuh6965 Oh great, youre a coder. You took it in a condescending tone, anyone who knows me knows I don’t like drama of any kind, that’s not how I was saying that. I apologize if it came off that way, as I pride myself on my communication. It was said in a (think outside the box) way. The full complete thought would read “open your mind to think in the manner of anything that is a software is tech, and they have people who sell… I did also give you two videos that you could watch from my channel. The reason I answer the comments is to help because I’ve been on the other side looking for answers and not getting a reply.
@@whathuh6965 holy shit dude. If you want to get into sales you need to fix your attitude big time. You come off as arrogant and rude. A client would laugh and hang up on you if you spoke to them that way.
What’s up trey I’m planning to do course careers after I graduate with my bachelor’s degree in psychology I wanted ask you between tech sales and ux design what would be the wiser decision and do you also recommend getting certifications from other IT/ tech programs like was certification
Sup Joden! It really depends on you and what you feel aligned with you more right now. If you love designing, that might be the better route because it will show through in your work and you can always have a business outside the job helping others with their projects. For the two you are contemplating you don’t have to, CourseCareers will give you everything you need to get in the industry. 💯
Hustle culture is lame. Life is so much more beautiful and meaningful outside of working and stressing yourself on a treadmill for 💸💸💸💸 you’re going to waste the best years of your life for a JOB?!? Yikes
You can choose to be in a “Hustle” culture or not. I don’t stress, I leave at the end of an 8 hour shift, I have my weekends to play golf, be with my wife for dinner every evening, and church on every Sunday. While I agree life is more that working and stressing, “the best years” of your life is relative.
A lot of people don’t really have much when they are young, so it’s not the best. Most people don’t think about older age, so they waste their early years and then have to work past 65 because of it. Personally I’m choosing to get to number faster, invest, etc so that i can enjoy it way earlier than 65. As in work intentionally for a great 15-20 years and be done, others choose to casually work with no intention, no life insurance, no investing for 50 years. It’s all a choice. Find what works for you though.
Well some are but there is an argument to made that everything you have right now including whatever device you used to make this comment was purchased based on some type of sales & marketing. You might not like certain types but it does work and there are great spaces that are beneficial to growth and your pockets.
lol the company you work for will teach you about their SAAS product. If you mean know “technical things” like coding etc.. no you don’t. SDR’s and Account Executives don’t have to be technical but it could help for some products. Being good looking could help as an Account Executive as that’s where the closing happens, but you could also have a face for radio if you’re good at asking questions and solving problems for the companies.👌🏾

I've been in tech sales for coming on 3 years now, started as an entry level no EXP SDR, making about 75k per year at 24 years old, now I am 27 working as an SMB account executive at a SaaS company, yes I work a lot, 8-9 hours per day 5-6 days per week
but let me tell you it pays off, in just 3 years I went from making 75k per year, to now I am bringing in about 150k-200k per year, I love my job and wouldn't do anything else, also I want to mention, NO COLLEGE DEGREE!
Love to see it! Things can definitely change for you in a short period of time if you work towards a goal and stay coachable. Appreciate the testimony!🚀

Hey Dusty that’s awesome! For sure technology is only going to get more and more ingrained into society.
Glad it could help🚀
the interesting part is, I've seen most of these being said about software development as well lol, burnout is also talked about, and the rejection you said is comparable to the frustration of building hard things
For sure, with anything that’s worth it you will have resistance!
"Who just goes to work with no goals to hit?" Quality Control in manufacturing. Day in, day out, it's the exact same workload, if I do it faster, I just create more free time.
I had a feeling it was somebody somewhere after I said it lol
I like this, it's very empowering. I have been on a positivity roll lately trying to maximize my vibration to garner better outcomes. The field of technology is changing, but money is flowing toward new things, nothing moves without sales. Learn what is blowing up and follow it, that is all.
Im glad it could help! And you are exactly right. You got this!
Appreciate the reiteration 👌🏾
I appreciate your candid remarks, this was helpful.
Glad it could help!💯
I’m honestly burnt out from sales, have worked in b2b and b2c, not sure what other career paths I should be looking at.
Yea you could always manage the teams. But a lot of times because the sales team knows so much of the product you can move into a lot of different lanes in the company.
My reasons is the lifestyle.
I already work in sales but I don’t receive incentive which I would like (Home Depot windows and doors)
I can easily talk to a strangers
People find it easy to talk to me in person
60k job
Want to do something new and this Align with what I want
I can travel
Talk to people
Constantly improve. Especially with talking because I had a hard time.
Always learning and improving
With support.
1 thing that is holding me back is not having the money to buy the course.
Yea those are definitely good reasons for sure.
The good thing is this role is not going away so whenever you get everything together there will still be plenty of time and roles ready for you💯
Don’t chase the bag if you don’t love the hustle.
I love that!
Big facts💯
im excited to get stared with tech .. i think whats holding me back is the inevitable changes ans the navigating ith the different unknowns of tech ... im still pondering the idea
Yea it’s always unknowns in new things. Maybe check into what’s the max upside for what you do now and the max upside for the space in tech you’re looking into.
Is it possible to train myself to become good at tech sales even if coming from bad background and not good at talking and stuff?
Yea it’s definitely possible. You just might have to work harder than others to get what you want.
You just need to get good at having conversations
I appreciate you checking out the video.
With your skills you definitely have some options to choose from in the tech industry!
You got this💪🏾💯
@@TechBagTrey Aww my goodness thank you so much man, that means a lot coming from you! Appreciation it! 😁👍🏾
@lolitadol For sure💯
considering tech sales because i have a recruitment background! i am a business owner looking to sharpen my business development skills hence the reason why tech sales sounds appealing to me. Looking for a career i can grown in while learning skills to build my business.
Hi Kendy!
Yes that’s a great reason to learn those skills for sure. It will allow you to sharpen those skills while getting paid.
Can you recommend a tech sales academy I can apply to please
Hey P, the one I recommend is CourseCareers, it’s the easiest and most cost effective.
You can check out what they have to offer for Tech Sales here www.GetInTechToday.com
It’s also the first link in the description.
Thanks for being real!
Appreciate you family💯
Seeking tech sales career advice:
I'm a junior data engineer pondering a shift to tech sales.
@sdotlondonkid For sure that’s what it’s about! Weigh the options then take your path.

Yea since you are already in, you can use CourseCareers to get your experience. 💯
Simple is if your are not making sales your whole life is hell, and I am in exact situation and the problem is the only thing I can do is customer support or sales
Maybe try a different space in sales. Sometimes just switching to a different product that you really believe in can change everything.
Sheesh. I just watched a bunch of videos on why tech sales is the greatest.
lol 😂 it is!
Finish the video, just making sure people know what they are getting into👌🏾
You have been a true

Much for all the information and transparency 🙌🏾
Appreciate G!
Not a problem at all, you got this🚀
Ngl coming from a rough life, in my 30’s I want a professional change. I’m damn good at sales, I love putting in the work. Hopefully I’m not too late
There is more than enough room. Still lots of tech companies hiring.
I am wanting to transition from being a realtor. Would this be something you reccomend? What's the work/life balance like?
Yea there are others who I’ve talked to that were transitioning from there.
There is a good work life balance once you know what you’re doing. Here is a video that I think will give some more info

I’ve been in tech sales for 5 years and I’m bringing in about 350 -400k annually. Now I’m able to create my own buisness
That’s how you do it right there! 💯💯
are you starting your own software company?
Love this video !
Appreciate you Bria!
Have a tech degree, I am currently in sales and want to combine the two
Fire move for sure🔥
This further confirms I’m ready to get into tech sales. The cons do not outweigh the pros! Thanks for the info.
Yes indeed! That’s what it was made for!
I totally agree with you.
That’s what you need for sure, a great EQ will get you far.
You got this🚀💯
Great info!
Appreciate you 💯
considering getting into tech sales, I don't know where to start. However, I have an extensive sales background in the beauty industry, I just don't have the experience selling SAAS products.
Hi Chrissie,
You can start by going through some of the videos on my channel, maybe the ultimate SDR Q & A, and the interview video.
@@TechBagTrey Thank you! You're a gem
@chrissieinfinity no problem! God bless
What I don’t understand is what are we selling here? This might be a silly question but it almost sounds like telemarketing with a new name
Sup Jason,
Great stuff especially for your age!
I see what you mean, the difference in tech is there is a bonus component that you can scale.
Since you do have a job that you don’t want to go down on. I would keep working there and only leave after you get a tech sales job that’s higher than 60k. You definitely can find them and since you have experience, you will be good.
Keep it up🚀
I'm not sure if I would be good at cold calling and it seem like it's to good to be true
@@TechBagTrey your right brother I agree I’ll look at it that way. The issue is for every 100 bad there’s 10 good .
@sam56094 You are right, and those bad ring a whole lot louder for sure!

Is it technology sales or technical sales? Your talking about
Technology sales
I used to work at Yelp and now I work at Angis List. Is that considered sales tech?
Yes it is
I'm considering a pivot in my career because Social Services is great but it doesn't offer the opportunity to make six-figures without a Master's degree.

Heyy Trey,
Thanks for your response!
Thanks,
Lina
@LegitLeens Lina,
No problem!
If I were to cold call a company that I applied for, what would be a good pitch and close?
I currently manage money right now do you think tech sales could help me
Yes it can. I’m sure there are software tools you use everyday in money management. Those are tech companies you could go to with your experience, I’m sure they could use someone who knows the space already.
Hi 👋 thanks for knowledge,
Can you recommend a tech sales institute i can apply to
I would suggest CourseCareers, that’s what I went through💯

I have sales experience of over 12yrs, looking for a remote company or an intern to scale up from there. Do you know any.

What should I do for my very first step i understand tech will continue to grow been in retail all my life the shoes aren’t cutting it tho lol my thing is im 29 idk should I go to school for this ??or im just everywhere really lol 😆

The full complete thought would read “open your mind to think in the manner of anything that is a software is tech, and they have people who sell…
I did also give you two videos that you could watch from my channel.

Increase income
I think this is for me(:

Any sales are crap. I will even add on every service jobs are shit.
Well some are but there is an argument to made that everything you have right now including whatever device you used to make this comment was purchased based on some type of sales & marketing.
You might not like certain types but it does work and there are great spaces that are beneficial to growth and your pockets.
To work in tech sales, do I have to know things about tech? Or can I get by just from being good-looking.
lol the company you work for will teach you about their SAAS product.
