- Hoi An, Vietnam "Getting To Know The "Old Town" is a condensed video that guides you through some of the ancient town's top sites to see along with things to do. If you want the long version of what Hoi An has to offer watch "Hoi An Travel Vlog" Best Of Vietnam 2022,
• Hoi An Travel Vlog: Th... . I truly do love Hoi An. It's loaded with historical gems, interesting streets and alleys and absolutely wonderful people. The "Old Town" is such an easy place to get around with pedestrian-friendly streets and lots of places to stop for a break and a refreshment. Most hotels are located outside of the Old Town so I'd suggest getting a cab to the Hoi An Market and from there everything is within walking distance. Spend the day in the Old Town and at night in An Hoi for different streets to enjoy that are loaded with lanterns steps away from the Hoi An NIght Market.

I’m heading to Vietnam in February & March 2023. Taking a lot of your advice from many of your videos. Thanks and hope to run into you.

Great, look forward to your visit!
Central Vietnam is pure bliss
thank you for sharing the video
My pleasure!
Thanks John, that was fantastic especially the lantern lit nights!
My pleasure, glad you enjoyed it!!!
Great destination!!
Totally
Thank you 😊
Thank you!!!
Very nice video John, thank for loving Vietnam❤️👍🙏🏼
Thank you, the pleasure is mine!🙏
I love Hoi An! I don’t know if it’s true but the story is that during the Vietnam War - or the American War as the Vietnamese call it - there was a tacit agreement between all sides to leave the place alone due to the historical importance of the town.
It’s possible. There were other places In Vietnam that were supposed to be left alone.
I miss Hội An so much, I wish I could get a chance to come visit it again one day
I sure hope you can! They’d love to see you again!
My wife and I are very lucky and proud to say we live in Hoi an! Sam and Margaret Adler
How sweet is that!
Heck, I'd by two instead. Upkeep of old buildings isn't exactly on top of the list of 'things that needs to be done' by the local committees in Vietnam, so it deserves to be encouraged. As usual a top notch video John
Thanks so much, really appreciate that!
👍👍❤❤❤❤👍👍
Thanks for representing Vietnam properly through these videos John. I have made a donation to your channel. Have a good day sir.
@CM
Michael, thank you so much! I just received your donation. I very much appreciate your support and especially treasure your kind and encouraging words. John
Amazing place. Just love the way you filmed and narrated the video. Thumbs up John & yes, I promise I will buy a pass when I visit Hoi An. Rest assured! God bless & keep the videos coming in. Cheers!!!
Always appreciate your kind words Andrew, thank you so much!!!
Great video John Hoi An is great.
Thanks so much!!!
Looks like you found your baseball cap. 👍
I’m actually on my way to meet with some friends about joining me on my travel to Vietnam in September. I’ll be showing them this video and taking notes!
Thanks for the content John.
My pleasure! BTW it’s a new hat but I was due anyway.
September isn't the best time to visit Hoi An and VN in general , because it's the monsoon season . That beautiful tiny town might get flooded by the Thu Bon river and its tributary Hoai river . You should go there on the dry season , from December to April . The weather is much nicer then and there is no risk of floods or storms
@@hungcuongnguyen293 thanks for the warning. Guess I’ll keep my travels south to Ho Chi Minh City.
As always quality info & editing 👌🙏
Thanks so much!
Lâu rồi không gặp bạn, tôi rất thích cách truyền tải hình ảnh thông tin thuyết trình của bạn 😀
Thanks so much!!!
Quality video. Thankyou.
Thank you!
I see you found your prayer flag cap, or did you have to order a new one? 😊
Anyway, great quality content again.
Thanks, much appreciated! Yes ordered a couple so I have a spare!😂
I was just in Hoi An a week ago
Would have loved to have seen you there! Love your videos.😊
Awe too bad! Thanks so much! Hope you had a great time!
Great vids John. Keep em coming!
Thanks so much!!!
Hmmm...interesting that you love Hoi An. I have been watching several videos lately. We have not been there in years, and based on those more current videos, it seems SO crowded and touristy. You seem to have found a way to get beneath that, as usual. Still, I am not sure we can do that successfully. But thank you for helping us rethink it. 😊
It’s not for everyone and I am very honest about the fact that this is a busy and crowded tourist spot at times. However now would be the time to visit if you’re considering it as there aren’t as many people traveling in Southeast Asia compared with pre pandemic numbers.
@@iamjohnsaboe Thank you so much for your thoughts. I love following your adventures and always look forward to the next one!
yeah! video from vietnam. like
Thanks!
Nice one John.
Thanks
Thanks Bobby!
Nice video as always. Thank you 😍👍🏻
Thanks so much!!!
What sucks so much is you can't get Cao Lau once you leave Vietnam. So make sure you have as many dishes of Cao Lau as you can whilst there.
Ooo man i miss this thick noodles, juicy pork and the brown sauce.
Best one is opposite the bridge behind where they do the traditional lottery singing thing.
God bless
Great advice and we all feel your pain here. We are blessed to have some of the best food in the world here!

100% agree with you. And Central Vietnam has the best coffees in my opinion
John, your videos are looking great! I think you have a very underrated channel. I'm going to do my part to help you out, Brother!
Very kind words Scott, thanks so much! Really appreciate your support!
Wow thank you for sharing this beautiful video 🙏🏼🇺🇸🙂 are you living in Vietnam?? Or just visiting
Check through Johns' library of videos and podcasts. You won't be disappointed!
Yes I’m living in Vietnam at the moment.
Great video! The more and more I watch your videos, they more I want to make my way to Vietnam. I know people hate visa questions, but maybe you can do a video on visa’s? I’ve only seen where you can get 30 days at a time and have to leave and come back.
Thanks for all the great information.
Thanks very much! I’ll do something on visas in the future however at the moment for most people entering Vietnam there is only a 30 day evisa available at the moment and yes you would have to exit the country and reenter with a new visa.
Good day John,
Hope you are well.
Hectic living at the moment but finally got to watch your video.
Quality video as I come to expect.
Do you need to do the Visa run every month to Cambodia because unless I marry a Vietnamese girl I can’t stay longer than 30 days in Vietnam.
Merry Christmas & all the best wishes for the New Year.
Hope to see you soon in Australia.

Thanks Louis, hope you are well too! I have residency here and not needing a wife to stay at the moment.😂

Thank you!
Good script-writing! Do you write it yourself? Do you edit your videos yourself or do you pay someone to do it? I'm just curious, as a small creator.
Thanks! Yes I do everything myself.
@@iamjohnsaboe Wow, incredible job! You have a good sense of what looks and sounds good!
@@SecondLifeTravels1 thanks I appreciate that!
