I've always really liked that statement of the Family Theme at the end. It combines those string runs that recall that sense of magic/mystery from Hedwig's Theme with a sense of warmth from the Family theme, which finally begins to convey Harry's newfound sense of belonging. It's a nice contrast with the lonely oboe at the beginning of 'The Arrival of Hagrid'. Lovely work!
The Hogwarts Theme at the moment of reading the letter sounds so out of place with the music before and after it, even if it's ostensibly how it was originally written. The misterioso celeste theme was a good decision by the music editor. I didn't realise there was so much music written to underscore Petunia's dialogue. Thanks for fascinating insight!
Correction: the chord on the fourth beat of m. 75 should be G/B, not G5.
