Great summary of ALDI tools…. I’m an amateur DIYer and Ferrex have never let me down…..I know what you mean when you go down the aisle and you see a tool that you must have…..appreciate yours vids….keep up the good work. 👍
Table saws with wobbly legs! Who'd have thought it! 🤣 Thanks for this video, I just saw a Ferrex palm router and found my way here, seems like it will be fine, ALDI do make some good tools but yeh, not all...I'm looking for a plunge saw as well to do nothing much more that Kerf bends, is that Workzone depth adjustable? Chees buddy! Have a good weekend! 👍
Just given a 6 in 1 Ferrex Line trimmer straight shaft, like new, hardly used; Started first pull, but then petered out: spark problem. Spending $110 for a service so glad it will be worth it once its up and running!
I’ve got the 20/40v Ferrex SDS drill, drill driver, impact driver, grinder, jigsaw, circular saw, strimmer and chainsaw, had a couple of batteries fail but were replaced quickly using the helpline.
I'm a part time carpenter and my grandad has been buying me these tools for years always good quality after 6 or 7 years I've finally lost 2 sanders in the same year no idea how much they cost as they were gifts but I think we probably got out moneysworth One I have but have no room to set up is a wet and dry grind wheel its still in the box would help for sharpening my. Chisels. Good video mate :)
Hi I have been diy-ing for as long as I can remember I have no problem with buying a premium grade anything if that is what you need but for a home gamer like myself I have also found the aldi range of power tools more than adequate Keep up the good work
Thank you your presentation of your range of DIY Power tools is excellent compulsive viewing. Keep up the good work .my only comment would be maybe a short report on how you found power tool in question worked for you plus and minus etc. I am old boy 75 year I wish I found you sooner.
Thanks Michael, I really appreciate it. Hopefully my presentation will improve over time. Loads more to come. Had a little break while doing some housework but my next project is a good one.
Great review m8. Like the ' get it past the wife ' comment , we've all been there! Bought last year ferrex cordless circular saw and jigsaw, 3 batteries and 2 chargers, £135, absolute bargain. Last week bought bare impact driver, angle wrench, multi tool and combi drill. All £20 /£25 each. Combi drill even comes with metal chuck for £20. Ferrex have also bought out a small cordless screwdriver with various angled heads for tight/awkward spaces, £20. Very useful tool, in store a few weeks ago. Like yourself just a DIYER these tools can't be beaten. Subscribed, good luck with chanel.
Thanks very much, I went in for the cordless angle grinder and they had sold out. First time I have missed out on a tool I wanted. Hoping to pick up a pillar drill soon and then I think I am done.
Managed to buy mine online, but still took a week and 3 separate deliveries. Think that's their only weak point, their supply. Particularly wanted the multi tool, said sold out online, nearly bought another cheap one elswhere, next day back in stock !
Nice one for that mate! Just ordered a few of Aldi’s tools for DIY at home. Got the impact driver and multi tool along with a 40v battery and single charger for run them and tempted to pick up a SDS drill to add to the collection.
Great little roundup of the Aldi tool range! Why just Aldi? I have mainly Makita and Hitachi tools for onsite, but, like you, pick up the odd item from Aldi and Lidl. I have to say, I can't agree more: some of the tools are great - especially when on offer. I picked up the wee palm router for £19.99. It ain't the best, but at that price - well, for me, it's just a roundover machine in the garage. I also picked up a couple of cordless drills - one for a tenner and the other for £15. Both on offer with battery and charger. Brilliant! Countersink and pilot hole machines. Even at full price, for the average diyer, the whole range from both stores is excellent value. However, as you point out, the sander and circular saw really need a bit more grunt than a 1.5ah battery can deliver. Thanks for sharing!👍
I think I have been sucked into their battery range now and tbh I usually shop at Aldi and most the buys haven’t been planned and have just been there. I am slowly reverting to Dewalt and have a growing collection of their tools too.
Hi fella, thanks for the video, useful stuff. I buy a load of Lidl stuff, mainly because it's closer and convenient. Tools are rated in hours of use. A trades-person might do those hours in 6 months, for a DIYer it might take years. I think anyone can do well by buying cheaper tools Aldi/Lidl but use decent blades/drill bits etc. PS.. I bought a recip saw like you for £15 years ago no blades, box was trashed. It's been a great help to me. I have had to control my "middle of Lidl" by sometimes banning myself from Lidl. HAHA!!
Dear Sir, Your little palm router is almost an exact copy of the current Bosch GOF600; my brother has one & I often used it for various projects in the past. I strongly suspect that most Lidl/Aldi & other outlets buy old discontinued stock from major manufacturers & get them rebranded as something else. Kind regards.
I’m like you love my Aldi tools, one thing I’m not happy about is Aldi for 3rd Christmas no tools for sale at Christmas, and when I leave Aldi on Saturday no tools in hand,I seem to suffer withdrawal symptoms I’m in Australia so let me if your Aldi has tools for sale christmas.
I have a Work Zone electric chainsaw, works for chopping down trees, but leaks oil everywhere! You put it away for next year you will find all the oil drained into your shelf top. Didn't keep the receipt unfortunatly.
my ferex 40v chainsaw cuts ok for what it is but from new will not start at all unless i remove a battery and then plug it back in, batteries are 100% charged and new, plus two spares.
It's a gravity fed oil point. Drain after use, I have been advised you can use vegetable oil to lower costs, not tried it but will do. Your saw is not faulty anyway.
Only one comment. You put the ferret impact tool against a dealt brushless one. As the ferret was a brushed one. It would be very difficult for you to compare these together. Ferrex is now doing a brushless impact driver. Try the dewalt against that one.
@@pathtooptimalhealth Yes- BOSCH is running the blue PRO- line at 18V and the green DIY/ home improvement line at 12V. The difference in price + qualitiy is quite big!
Got 18v tools and 20/40v tools..... Should have kept batteries all the same.. Not having charge indicator on 18v batteries disappointing.... My 40v grinder very good vfm
They are as bad or as good as Lidl Parkside. Strictly excellent for the infrequent home user and useless for the professional. The only good thing is the 3 year warranty. If you want the best then Festool is the way to go but at a price.
I bought the ferrex multi tool and it was shockingly bad bordering on dangerous no matter what I did the blade would not stay in it total rubbish won't be buying ferrex again
You got a start somewhere thank you very much for your time in showing off your tools

Another top vid m8 you can't beat a bargain that works well 👌🏼
Imagine seeing you here! Just seen you on that David Icke Moon Base video pal ✌

Very interesting Aldi tool summary and good UA-cam video production buddy - top marks for both 👍💯
brilliant video once again!
I picked up a 3hp compressor and 2 pin nailers. Brilliant.
Ferrex never failed on me 👍👍
Great stuff.

Thanks for the video, very informative
Just stumbled across your video after nipping in for a few groceries at aldi and left with an impact wrench 😅 I'd give you 10 👍 if I could.
Top quality review, Many thanks,
Always great advice

Thank you. I’m tempted by the multi tool and angle grinder. I have the DeWalt corded multi tool but could do with a cordless one too for tricky jobs.
mate wrap some insulating tape around where the attachments sit....works a treat...nice review by the way
Ha ha "Get it past the wife" I feel your pain, I do the same lol. Nice review!

I picked up one of their freestanding table saws, the last one in the store, for £40.
Originally priced at £90.

For a casual DIYer, Aldi tools are just fine.

Great review.
I swear I have the same feeling, and I am in Australia
for the price we pay they are great value and good for the job....
good down to earth review
I love that comment regarding the wife not seeing what you bought ahahah.

Sometimes my local aldis have not got the tools in what's the name if your independant store

Hi where Is the shop you use I would like a browse?
It’s in Blackpool on Lytham Road.
A friend of mine bought a laptop there once, he said it was just fine. I do not believe that but what do I know
Ha ha ha!! sounds like you can resist anything...........but temptation! 😃😃😃
As far as I know "Workzone" is the green (non- pro) BOSCH- product line.
@@pathtooptimalhealth Yes- BOSCH is running the blue PRO- line at 18V and the green DIY/ home improvement line at 12V.

I love my workzone track saw. I just wish they sold the extra track because scheppach want a fortune for theres.
😮 cable for sykyɓtv#3
Got 18v tools and 20/40v tools..... Should have kept batteries all the same.. Not having charge indicator on 18v batteries disappointing.... My 40v grinder very good vfm
Great content, keep it up 👍
Nothing wrong with aldi tools for the home owner, no point in banging out 150 notes on a drill/tools etc you might use once a Yr..
I was hoping you would review the impact wrench as well. any idea if impact wrench can remove wheel's lug nuts?
ALDI, the only place where you can go in for a loaf of bread and come away with a chainsaw.
You present things really well, I ma not sure if you have the time, but you can really turn youtube into a side income.
++++++++++++++++++++ The rule is as much money as much music. The products are cheap, but they are enough for hobby tasks.
Angle grinder
I’m looking into their Angle Grinder. They have then online.
I was looking at bikini fashion shows on UA-cam and next day, Aldis check out girls were all bikini models

You mean you downgraded to DeWalt ?
They burn through brushes in no time
Good if that's all you can afford, never in the same league as de walt etc.
£30 for that bandsaw? Steal of the century!
I think it’s on par with a Dewalt Brushless combi drill with battery, case and charger I picked up for £30 on Market place.
I bought the ferrex multi tool and it was shockingly bad bordering on dangerous no matter what I did the blade would not stay in it total rubbish won't be buying ferrex again
How the hell are you saving money buying a tool with no battery, a battery and a charger separately? One of us is an idiot and it's NOT ME
your a bad as me i have some aldi power tools that are stiil in the box...lucky we all get a 3 year warrenty LOL
Cheap rubbish DeWalt all they way
Nope....it's Makita all the way.
