hi knox. i got a recommendation of your channel from john mcgovern. i was following his python for network engineers course, he used eve-ng and ubuntu setup. i was wondering how i could set up these two vms to communicate. i am new to vms and networking in general
Great Explanation . i would like to ask that when one has hosted EVE-NG VM in a vAPP and and need to make sure Cloud 1 traffic which is from all nodes in eve-ng is forwarded to internet that eventually sends traffic to internet via cloud 0 NIC then what configuration needs to be made. I dont have access to vApp but internally cloud 1 NIC interface can send traffic to Cloud 0 .So does promiscuous mode configured.
@DataKnox, thanks for the video, I came here searching for the samething in GPC but I still couldnt make it work, have you tried something like in GCP? I added another nic in eve-ng gcp vm and configure it with pnet1 and connect cloud1 with a pc but its not working ...let me know if you have any advice ?
Hello, thanks for the very good work. Im new to eve-ng. built a server Dell 630R I believe, bare-metal installation of eve-ng pro and its up and running with Juniper vmx images loaded and operational. planning to add Cisco images too. I very much like to connect eve-ng to my Cisco switches, external switches like I once did with GNS3 (lots of trunks and cables really). altho, worked but was very messy. now, with the power I see from eve-ng, I am thinking it should be possible to add external switches to any topology so eve-ng sees them as its nodes. can you help on this please? I don't have external VMWare EXI server and I believe I will not have but I do have number of Cisco switches and soon will have Juniper EX-4300 switch. any help and guiding would be greatly appreciated. Best regards, Masood
Thanks Knox. I actually have a question about the server that I am planning to purchase for home lab. I have gotten a good deal on a rack server. However, there's a problem with the server which a dysfunctional ILO? I am wondering if it worth buying it? Thanks in advance
Very informative! I got it working on the first try thanks to your video.
can this be done in vmware workstation tho?
if so, how?
Thanks. Spent all day trying to figure this out. I had forgotten to change the portgroup to promiscous mode.
Thanks. This is a very good explanation of the EVE Clouds networks.
Can you please do the same video witt the Workstation pro ??
Thnx for the great and brief explaination , very useful👍
Do you need the pro version for this feature?

It is possible to comunicate with internte with cloud 1
amazing!! Thanks a lot!!
Is it possible to change the icons from a cloud to something else in the pro version? Doesn't seem to be in the community version.
To answer myself, yes you can. Looks like I'm going to have to pull the trigger and go pro. Pretty topologies are worth it alone, haha.
@@chrisco9782 i was not trying to figure the same thing out..ha..pulling the trigger also
Thanks Knox.

If iLO is the only thing broken I wouldn’t worry about it much
@@DataKnox I will buy it then and start lab-ing. Thanks ☺️
Awesome sir!!!
