I updated my mini V2 and the update lost me a number of emulators and also the one that did work only half have the red quick save and load menu any ideas?

The Miyoo Mini gets the job done. But looks like further testing is required to see whether switching to Onion OS or simply using different ROMs can make more games playable. I think first point of call is your bios. psxonpsp660 is excellent and basically all games that would not work in your video should be smooth with the change. Last thing is the fast forward option, best not to use it as the memory on the mini isn't really capable of handling the cache and often causes a crash. 👌 Really enjoy your straight forward approach to content though, thank you. Very refreshing and enjoyable to watch.

Yup, I'll be testing the performance difference of the default OS and Onion OS too. And yeah, the takes took such a long time that i had to recharge the battery again and again lol
@@monospacechannel Every game I can think of on PS1 with multiple discs affords you a chance to save at the end of any given disc. So yeah, even without a proper disc switching option, there's absolutely no reason to assume you wouldn't be able to play further discs. Just save at the end of each and boot up the next one.
We only had about eight games for our PS1 when we were kids, this video alone has introduced me to so many games I missed out on that I might enjoy and need to try on my mini. Thank you so much for your dedication and making this! Especially love the little PS1 game covers!

CRT, and Tekken 3 run smooth on my mini. I'm on the current Onion OS (v4) and have had no issues. Perhaps a redo of the "Don't Bother" list with the Onion v4? Anyways, great list and I've actually added some new games to my collection based on this review. Thanks for sharing.
@@Hugecannonballs When I initially got mine it did come with a lot of games on the memory card. I downloaded the Tekken 3 and CRT... those weren't included. But aside from those 2, yeah, the memory card comes with TONS of games.

I am a NERD Professionally I have my Miyoo Mini+ Pimped out! I have a 256 GB card with everything for every system from Atari to 460 PS1 games and the box art
Revisiting the the PS1 on Batocera recently has made me realize it wasn't really that great of a console. Indeed even then the 32 bit machine was already bested by multiple 64 bit machines. What it did have was a massive game library & that's why we all bought it. If all 8 & 16 bit machines gave us was great scrolling platformers & beat em ups plus 2d coin op beat em ups, What the PS1 did was the era of the racer. Car racing & driving games like Ridge Racer, Granturismo, NFS, Wipeout, VRally, Driver, Collin McCrae etc all stood out. Also good for improving what the 8 & 16 bit gave us with 3D versions of both platformers & beat em ups. It tried it's hand at things it couldn't really do yet like 1st & 3rd person shooters & this was it's let down. Although I played through the Medal of Honour games & spec ops it was maybe a gen too early. RE, Silent Hill, Tenchu & Metal Gear Solid, Colony Wars series, GPolice & Pool Shark some other notable titles The PS2, GameCube, Xbox, Dreamcast was the era when things started to become truly playable in every genre.
Yup, and during that era, no other competitor was able to compare to the ps1's game library. Hence it was able to capture most of the market, from adults, youth, female, male, to casual gamers

Awesome! I just received one recently, and wish I had the brain power to compile a ROM microSD card just for this console's performance on such a tiny powerhouse! So many lesser-known titles ran perfectly too!
@@tashabourgeois7321 download the ROMs on your PC, eject the micro sd card from your miyoo and insert it into your PC (there’s an adapter included in the package if you dont have one), then just transfer the ROMs to the micro sd!

With updated firmware and Onion OS v3, I am able to play Final Fantasy 7, 8, and 9 super smooth on mine. FF9 looks so amazing on the screen too!

You have good english! There is already included on the Miyoo a few ps1 Roms (probably 10). Other than that you have to find them on your own!

Inserting the ROMs are super easy! Just drag and drop them to the microsd card!

A few games are preloaded, but for the rest you have to get the ROMs yourself! Doesn't look like the miyoo mini can handle n64 !
