Game changer! Thank You! Thank You! I have been trying to figure out how to do this since I got my FM9 a few months ago! I am working on making Martin Barre scenes for my new Tull experience band. Just put in Cry You riff and now I can build a sound

You're welcome! I know there other patch building vids out there that probably cover this method, but this was one that I actually stumbled upon on accident when I put the Looper block early in the chain and then played back the Looper without anything else, and was like "what the ????"

What a great way to build a patch without having to toggle between noodling and experimenting in the program! Thanks Bill!

Great job!! Subscribed. Going to try that tone today, looks like you pretty much showed all of the settings? Or is there more happening behind the scenes (no pun intended 😂). That’s a fantastic match to DEW tone. I’ll go look for that Red Barchetta video you mentioned. Any chance I’ll be lucky enough to get enough info for a Moving Pictures preset?

Even though the albums definitely have a different guitar tone to them I generally use that same Fender Double-Verb block for most the stuff between Hemispheres all the way through Presto, and just alter the patches slightly on things such as drive, gain, EQ. Thanks Darrin!

@@TheRushTributeProject Yes, I've only used the DV for Lifeson a little but after using your settings that's becoming clear to me.

What's that first chord...?! 😜 Now I know why I saw a looper in some of your patches.

Hey Chuck....the looper being in the chain is usually because I was lazy and never removed it, but fortunately the AxeFX has enough juice to keep it there. That opening DEW chord is x-0-5-5-3-3, followed by x-3-5-5-3-3. Thanks!

@@TheRushTributeProject Actually... the first chord in DEW is... x-0-5-5-8-x... Dunt Dah! It sounds almost exactly like x-0-5-5-3-3 but the key is it lends itself to all the various fills that Lifeson does throughout the song - it actually makes the song easier to play. I am %1000 sure of this (yes, that's one thousand). If you watch the various live versions you'll see him do it in this position every time at the beginning of the chord progression. It's easy to miss because it often is just flashing by (much like windshields towards a fly...). My apologies for being a huge pain in the ass... it's my destiny... or my density... Thanks for the FX insights.

Oh you know me.....I make no guarantees that I'm playing things correctly. :). You. should be able to use the same looper / patch building technique on the AxeFX II.
