wait wtf how did supermega get you to this song? this is really weird because i added this to a playlist in like summer 2016 when i was listening to loads of this stuff at the end of the school year. and i've been a fan of supermega or cyndago since that summer too. and im back listening to this playlist and i had no idea a supermega viewer would be the top comment
I listen to this song every day. I've analyzed & cross analyzed so many times & can't find a single fault. if this was hold music (as some have mentioned), I would ask the phone rep to put me back on hold, that I would.
I live in Phoenix and frequently go fishing at a big lake to the NE of me. Without fail, I always make sure to have this song queued up as I'm driving along the shoreline while the sun is rising. It's always an absolute treat.
Why Vaporwave artists never give a list of the samples they used?! This music is sampled so much! Took me 4 years to find!!! edit : THIS. IS. A. MASTERPIECE. This song goes above the concept of musical taste, liking it is natural and mandatory.
I found it from listening to Finding Nash by Phil Gerus and googling the sample, which was listed on WhoSampled. I think that is a good new take on the track.
I haven't found much jazz from that era of Japan that isn't amazing. I wish their musicians had more of an audience here. I think it's called scene jazz? I can't remember what the genre is called anymore
Its like Mega Drive music but uncompressed with more tracks utilised and crystal clear in its quality. From the low base, to mid and high notes. Utter perfection. Put this in any classic game and it will be awesome.
Indeed, my friend. Like some Mega Drive games' tunes, 52nd Street has that unique 80's Japan style to it. Many tunes emitting Bubble-era badassery were composed back then. This being one of them.
I think it's more that videogame music sounds like this than the other way round. City pop/jazz fusion stuff was massive in Japan by all accounts. Absolutely awesome tune.
I never knew this fact until the first day I fired up my PS2 and tried Gran Turismo 4. The sound itself literally turned the game into an actual world that I could explore like a dream...
@@aaron9818 I mean they spent all their big greens on their trip, so ice cream was out of the question, which seems kind of selfish on the part of the uncles but at the same time, spending the fruit of your labour any way you see fit is a great freedom granted to Uncles 1 and fungus, and is a part of the american dream. Fuck that ice cream.
I'll be forever grateful to witness such beautiful music compositions. The music brings tears to my eyes and pushes me to do better, be better, live better and most importantly, contribute towards the better. At one point I was sure that I won't continue living... Now I'm sure, that whatever life I have left in me... It'll be spent towards experiencing and living this beautiful thing called life.
I actually found this because of another song by toshiki. A few years back it was kinda hard to find much 80s Japanese music before the huge boom today. I found his song step into the light so I looked for more and then this song became my soundtrack to life haha
I remember finding about sea line coming across my explore page on UA-cam around 2016, and just becoming in love with this whole genre. What a masterpiece, and I’m happy to see that others enjoy this so much, what a beautiful composition.
1:00 My ears and brain had an epiphany. I KNOW THIS SONG. Why do I know it? TWRP. Ladyworld. Body Image. No wonder I love this song and no wonder I love TWRP. Soooooooo soooo good.
Or when you're brain has lost too much oxygen and your slowly drifting unto the other side, yet the sweet melodies an rhythms of reality are too good to refuse.
UA-cam recommended this song to me on front page because I listened to one song by this artist, I can't stop the night, which is an amazing song in it's own rights. So naturally, for a night-time smoke and tea I decided to play this song. Listening to it, I found a dozen seconds in you realise that this has great potential, and quickly thereafter the genius unfolds. Will it stand the test of time to become a classic?
Apparently the Megaman series was renowned for straight up stealing Contemporary Japanese music. I've heard a few songs that make me think I'm listening to an original from that era
I remember this song from a video floating around on Twitter of a dancing anthro bunny in a dance class, and this song was playing in the background. Style looked like it was from the 80s too.
What is that melody? I'm delighted! How did I discover this artist only now? I've been listening to this song for 10 times now and I still can't get enough of it!
I'd highly recommend some of Kadomatsu's other works. Sea Line, If You, Girl in the Box (the Rebirth 2 version), Rush Hour, and many more. They're all amazing
