@@rickyaclickpowr2187 hi and thank you for asking. The video helps anyone not familiar with medical insurances and the credentialing process. Each section has a free overview of what is covered so viewers can see if they feel it would benefit them. Please take a look and good luck!
I’m new in credentialing for behavior health clinicians , may your program help regardless of what state we work in ? I’m currently seeking all the knowledge I can get ! Love your videos ❤
Hi there and thanks for asking. Yes, my course discusses all aspects of the credentialing process and not state specific! How exciting for your new adventure- good luck and thank you for watching!
I'm new to the healthcare industry and currently studying coding and billing. While I want to master both, I'm seeking a part-time billing job to gain experience. I have a strong customer service and logistics background and am eager to transition careers. Ultimately, I aim to start my own billing company. Can you suggest entry-level billing job titles that align with my goals?
Hi there and good for you! How exciting. Every employer looking to higher billers and coders call their positions something different. Most want at least a billing and/or coding certification or experience equivalent. I would recommend looking for a job to work a front office position or assist an existing experienced biller to gain the foundational knowledge needed to build from in the industry. Understanding insurances, terminology, the revenue cycle as a whole is pertinent to success. Good luck!
Hi and thank you for watching my channel. I have a whole playlist centered around Credentialing and contracting with specific Medicare and Medicaid ones. If you are already an established group with payer contracts, you will need to check with your contracts and/or payer portals on how each require you to add a provider to your group contract. For Medicare, you need to reassign them on the PECOS website. The Texas Medicaid site should tell you how to add a provider. Every insurance will check to see if the provider is correctly credentialed and if they are due for re-credentialing before they add them to your group. They will let you know if they need anything else done in the credentialing realm of things. It is important to note that every insurance gives an effective date of when the provider becomes affiliated with the group and you cannot bill out services under that provider until you receive those effective dates and it is after that date or it will either process as out of network or deny if the patient does not have out of network benefits. I hope this helps! Good luck!
Hi, I'm very interested in signing up for your courses. I have been in in healthcare for 17 years.. do you feel your courses will be helpful to pass a certification test?
Hi there and thank you so much! Unfortunately, I’m not sure the exact content of the certification test as I have not taken it myself to know what is needed to pass. I can tell you I created this course for people like me who where thrown into this responsibility in a practice and had to learn as I go. It’s the information that should help provide a foundation of building from in this realm of healthcare. Good luck!
Thanks for asking! You could see how popular that insurance is in your area to determine if the potential patient volume with that insurance would be worth the Credentialing and contracting efforts. f you have worked in healthcare for a while or if anybody associated with the practice, has they should be able to tell you that. However, usually a lot of people make a decision at the point of seeing what the reimbursement will be once a contract is sent over because that is a major factor for most. I appreciate you watching!
I cannot find the link to access the Excel and PDF files mentioned in the last part of the video. Could you please provide the link to download the Excel sheet or the PDF?
Hello I am looking for the excel and PDF files mentioned as well, I did clink on the link but nothing is downloading or showing up in my email. Thank you
Hi I’m interested in your course(s). My sister is an LCSW that operates a practice employing a few dozen clinicians. I just started helping her and she needs a new credentialer. The issue is she is terrible at teaching/explaining things and also doesn’t have the time to really teach me, are your courses specific towards behavioral health insurance credentialing, or is credentialing universal in healthcare?
Hi there! Thank you for watching and for asking the question. All credentialing is done exactly the same and you just provide the specialty of behavioral health when you’re working on it with payers. They will also know by the use of taxonomy codes associated to the providers’ and group NPI numbers. My course is for general credentialing and contracting so It should help you. I also can be hired to coach you along the way and teach you what you need to do. If you are interested, you can email me directly jennifer@icsolns.net.
Thank you for inquiring, but at this time I am focusing on consulting for medical practices only. I do offer a credentialing course to train people about the Credentialing and contracting process and that may help you. The link is in the video description and there is a QR code to scan in the beginning of many of my newer videos too. Good luck!
Thank you for this information

Do you have a video on adding a clinician to your group that is already credentialed specifically under Medicare and Medicaid? I am a Texas practice.

How and where would determine if a payor is a good option for your practice
