Overview of the transfer experience at Zurich Airport from the main concourse to the satellite terminal (E gates for non-Schengen departures).
Zurich Airport is home to Switzerland’s national carrier, Swiss International Air Lines, a member of Star Alliance. The Star Alliance network (like Lufthansa, United Airlines, Air Canada, Singapore Airlines) make up the majority of the air traffic out of Switzerland’s busiest airport.

I have a 50 minute connection in Zurich coming from Budapest and departing to Manchester. Any idea on how far apart my gates are going to be from each other travelling with Swiss Airlines? Any help would be great
That would be a tight connection but doable. Also depends on how quick passport control is when exiting Schengen.

I would suggest trying to catch an earlier CDG-ZRH flight

Hey, tomorrow I have a 40min connection in Zurich. Coming from Dublin, through Zurich to Johannesburg. Do you think I will have enough time and if not, would I be booked onto the next avail flight free of charge? (Booked on one ticket btw)
40 minutes is just above the minimum connection time (MCT). With LX282 usually leaving on time from ZRH, I would actually suggest trying to get on an earlier DUB-ZRH flight. There is only one daily ZRH-JNB so chances are if you miss it, you will face a 24 hour delay.

It went okay for me! A bit of light jogging haha but when I got to the gate, there was still a couple mins left to spare as well as a long line so I wasn’t the last to come. Hope this helps!

I don’t think there’s a direct ZRH-LIM flight. But I would say 2 hours connection on a single ticket should be okay.

Hi, I’m travelling from LHR - HRG with a connecting at Zurich airport. Heathrow to Zürich will be with Swiss airlines and the Zürich to Hurghada will be by edelweiss Will I need to have a transit airport visa or will it be like any other connecting flight.
Whether you need a visa depends on your nationality.

I don’t know which terminal I will land from U.K. to Zurich but most likely will depart from gate E from Zurich to Hong Kong. Is there any passport control and security check at gate E? I’m afraid the time is too tight! Grateful to hear from you!
Yes, most likely arrive and depart from E gates and does facilitate sterile non-Schengen to non-Schengen departures nicely without the need to enter the Schengen zone.

@@nicholasnick thanks for asking! Well it turned out that it was the same terminal when I landed from U.K. in Zurich and took off from Zurich to hk. It’s just a few minutes walk to another gate on the same floor. No passport control nor security check needed.

Very informative video👍 Though i had a different question. Im flying from antalya to barcelona via zurich. I bought a single ticket from swiss al. Because swiss dont fly to antalya they use sunexpress operated aircrafts. I was wondering if I would need to claim my baggage and redrop it because its a different airline operating or if it would just go all the way to spain?
It should go all the way since you bought one ticket

Yes. But usually bags should be checked through
