- Lucy visits the slightly posher end of Benidorm the Poniente
Benidorm is located on the Costa Blanca, Spain. Famous for it's beaches, bars, restaurants, nightlife, entertainment, hotels, sightseeing, party atmosphere, excursions, tours and sun. It is not only one of the top holiday destinations in Spain but one of the best tourist hotspots in the whole of Europe. British and Irish tourists love to travel to Benidorm, being one of the best resorts for a package holiday, but it is also well loved by many European travellers, and of course the Spanish themselves. It is an all year round holiday resort, the good weather means there is something to offer visitors of all nationalities and ages, and you will always find things to do and places to go. We stayed on the Poniente side last year and loved it!
Heading there in three weeks, staying at the sunset cliffs apartments. The last two years, we stayed at sunset waves. Absolutely loved it there. Anyone thinking of heading to benidorm and want quality accommodation. You should consider those apartments you won't be disappointed.
It's got it all hasn't it.
You want to relax, it's got it.
You want complete madness, it's got it.
You want a nice meal with some beautiful scenery, it's got.
Literally, it's got everything. ❤

I went right to the far end of poniente and had lunch a a couple of beers in a small restaurant bar , I think I was the only brit there, it was really good food, beer and service, really enjoyed it
Hi Lucy lovely scenic video and yes Poniente shows a completely different side of Benidorm a side that is seldom shown in the UK but have seen programs in Ireland about it.Look Levante is gorgeous i absolutely love walking the promenade and i have nothing what so ever about people enjoying a good drink but at times the drinking goes to far and some of these individuals will experience severe health problems later in life . For me its about striking a Balance and at times on the Levante side for me that has not being achieved. Good Luck Lucy. David
We often go to the beach on that side, book apartments on that side and enjoy a walk along the front to La Cala and back.
Best side for me along with La Cala Finestrat are my fav areas. But don't tell everyone! Haha. Definitely not posh just a nice atmosphere with nicer restaurants and bars.

Thanks Lucy. I love these vlogs, as it opens up the whole resort to visitors who never venture beyond the Levante end of town. I'd love to see more of the top end around the Bali Hotel, as it hardly ever gets seen. Anyway, top girl! 😘😘

Fabulous , I love that end Lucy , I'm disabled so it's easier on the beach and in the water coz it's not rocky and the water is more gentle , but I love everything about benidorm , I saw the the exhibition with all the colourful animals fantastic and I'm looking forward to seeing this new outside exhibition , I can't wait , we will be there in June, so see you soon xxx

I never miss out on a walk or 2, during a Benidorm visit, from the Old town to the hill at the end of Poniente beach and back. Such a sifferent vibe from Lavante beach walk. Both fab areas in their own ways. ;-]

love your video. stayed at the Poseidon Hotel in April loved the hotel and the area, very Spanish and quiet, definately not what you expect when you say Benidorm. will be staying here again later this year.
Seen the zumba class last week when we walked from poniente to rincon de loix.

The old town & Poniente beach front is the best part of Benidorm in my opinion, Levante is nice but just love the old town & the walk from Dove park along Poniente front, we usually walk right to the end, stop of for a couple of drinks & see the cats at the end. 🥃☕😁🐈🐱 I really wish more British people would venture down here, as like you say Benidorm isn't just party central & full of boozed up Brits. 😂 Cheers Lucy. 👍☕🍹🌴😉 xx
Well done spot on, it was your vid's and your Facebook group and better health that got me back into going to Benidorm. I am disabled and you helped me with loads. Old Town and this area is fab for us and have been 3 times in 13 months. I just can not get my adult kids to get away from the reputation of Blackpool in the sun and the TV program. Thank you once again. We hope to be back on the prom as shown here in Nov/ dec but in an apartment up near Refuel for a change from a hotel with a fantastic sea view.

Hi Lucy, fab video as always. This side of Benidorm is absolutely my favourite. It just invites you to relax.
We saw the colourful sculptures that were there last year and the backdrop with the sea was amazing. Looking forward to some more videos of this area.
We love having a walk over there in the evening. Will definitely be going to see the art work.

@@Carol_in_Spain the hotel is still there next to the new Delfin tower its just not opened I thought they shut it temporary because they were building tower and it would have opened back up ..its sad to see it empty

Lucy, I had several beautiful meals along with beer at Fresh Restaurant. 👌 The view at nighttime looking at the beach is stunning, so relaxing.. Strolling into old town, having a beer and meal in Vincent's great staff.👌 There is plenty to do around the old town.. Lucy 👍
I love walking around that side of Benidorm what a Difference I always start from a coffee at fresh it used to be coach and Horses
I stayed in the old town in April and loved it ❤ the whole experience of levante and poniente it’s all awesome. I just love the lifestyle and sunshine it’s gorgeous

We always in the old town Lucy best deals and favourite part my friend is currently at the H10

Was there over a week ago stayed in a hotel on the front didn’t walk that far down though so missed out on seeing all the art will have to go back x

HI I agree with your comments Benidorm has something for everyone We prefer the old town and love to wander around the streets and the shops. Like you I am originally for Yorkshire so great minds think alike LOL

West beach (poniente) always. Posh beaches, in a recent poll, Marbella came last and Sitges (think Brighton with sunshine) came near the top.
This video has made me want to change my hotel for my October visit Lucy. I'm booked in the Sol Pelicanos, and it'll be 50 years since I was last in Benidorm at the then Hotel Riviera. But as I've got older, my tolerance of the, er, "livlier" type of tourist has lessened. LOL

I know. But there are a few eateries around there that I'm looking forward to trying. So not all bad eh ?. LOL

We really enjoyed our stay in the Villa del Mar hotel
Lucy , I no people who have been to benidorm and thought that ,,the brit strip,, rincon area was it.. didn't even know about the old town and the laponte side. Or even to walk back straight up from the beaches. So much much more on offer. Not to mention la cala, albir, altea, all only a bus ride away. Anyway back June 11th for our 3rd visit of the year, then back September.
Benidorm has 3 postal codes.

Is there a bus that runs from Rincon du loix to the far end of Poniente? Im over next week, and fancy doing the walk back to Rincon from there - just not sure im fit enough to walk both ways!
Number 2 from Rincon near beach or just near the Casino Check the stops at the bus stops

Hi Lucy, it's damien. Me and sandra met you yesterday in the triangle bar, we couldn't get the e sims to work on our phones. I have tried everything the agent suggested but still not working. I am using the hotel WiFi at the moment. We were going to come back to triangle bar to spend the afternoon there on Sunday to get a selfie with you and enjoy the karaoke but sandra as told me you will not be there tomorrow x
Love Poniente beach has developed more in last few years nice and laid back.Please don't encourage the stag, hens and lager louts to venture down there, keep it nice!
Amazes that people go to Benidorm and don’t visit poniente or the old town it’s only 20 minute or so walk and you’re in a totally different resort

Hi lucy im sure a few years ago you went in what is now called Saltoki the owner was a friend you said had known him a long time. Does he still own it and rebranded it or sold it to Who ecer owns Saltoki. Always stay pontiente now.

Benidorm has lots of hotels everywhere . *Gran Bali Hotel* ?
Yes its well worth going there. But dont tell too many people or it will get ruined. We walk all along there all the way down to La Cala. Can I tell you a secret go in Poker they do a large coffee for €2 and the two blokes who run the place are great. The beach at this end is always quiet, no people trying to sell you cocktails made from god knows what. Living inland its great to come down a couple of times a week. Not sure about the 'new' artworks, although they are better than the huge lumps of metal that were there before. Good video as usual....Only thing missing is a good fish n chip shop... But Rays2 does for us everytime.. Just means a longer walk with more people around.

Well it does have something for EVERYONE .....YES something for miserable people to go home and complain about ..... Come along but make sure you don't enjoy 😉
