Ford NH carburetor test

After overhauling a Ford (not Holley) NH carburetor I have it on the car and ready to try out.

Alright ! I saw you, had that thumb around that crank. lol

I'm not sure if the thumb thing applies when you use your left hand. a backfire would break your wrist, not your thumb. or am I mistaken?
