The Apostle Peter shares with a great crowd in Jerusalem, at Pentecost, the reason for the strange occurrences occurring among them by the means of the person and power of the Holy Spirit. He shares with that crowd and with us that we are living in the last age and during this present time the great prophecy of Joel 2 that the Apostle Paul repeats in Romans 10 is "All who call upon the Lord shall be saved." Peter defines who the lord is to make sure that we understand he is Jesus of Nazareth, the Lord who is raised from the dead. and offers the gift of the Holy Spirit to those who will believe and surrender their life to Him.
