Love the videos guys, purchased a Mercedes Vito 2014 and had it converted by Key Campers in Hull, it's used for daily for work plus surfing and holidays. Always interested in improving and getting new ideas whenever possible.

Those Froli springs are a genius invention really. Keeps the mattress off the panel and promotes airflow and eliminates mold issues and also adds to the comfort. And an easy reatrofit in any van, they're only somewhere in the 200 euro range for one bed.

Wow what a great design, they've crammed in so much to such a small amount of space.
LOVE the lighting round the bottom of the cupboards and I never knew vans of this size could come with a toilet and shower.
    Thanks guys, great walk through.

Great packaging. Can’t believe they fit a bathroom and shower in there. Platform is very daily drivable, can park anywhere. True German ingenuity. Wish we got this in the US.

A really well thought out conversion. I’d have one but I own a Mercedes Vito Autosleeper Montana. 20 years older but has everything the Jules has and more and almost the same layout. Even the roof opening the “right” way I think. Who knows I’ll see how much I have left at the end of the year😊

      Hi guys nice review!
You don't have to wait to Enjoy an expensive Pop Top!
Buy a Pop Top Tent & mount it on your Van or Car for around $3500.00.
The Hard Shell Roost Pop Top Tent; which is 90 inches long x 55 inches wide & the Base is 1/4" thick, you can mount it directly onto your Van & cut an opening to stand up in your Van & experience the same thing inexpensively.
I'm doing it on my GMC Van in Toronto, Canada.

Really like the idea of the double opening side doors on the Jules Verne. It's worth mentioning to you that the new 2019 version of the Kepler One has an updated way of making up the bed from the rear seats, you no longer have to make up the jigsaw puzzle from the cushions or use the pull out drawer from under the seats to form the base, instead having two sections of mattress that fit together and have managed to squeeze in a storage cupboard between the rear of the seats and the fridge to store them away. I only know this as we are collecting ours in just a few weeks and can tell you that we totally put the blame on you two for buying one off the back of your Kepler One Video!😉 anyway, sorry for the long winded comment! Great vid again, Regards from sunny Devon 😃

I like how Shaun said "do ya pots" I'm originally from up north and that is how I would say it. My partner is a Landaner and he says " Do the washing ap" lol. Nice lay out in the Van! Although not keen on the Vitos see to many of them at work. They can carry 6 passengers where as my trusty TX4 can only carry 5.

Really nice comprehensive review as usual - Thanks! £63k according to their website which seems a lot though I guess the base van is quite expensive?. Biggest concern would be storage - where does the BBQ go, or the camping chairs, and table, and bedding?........ etc etc. For £10k less you can get a brand new coachbuilt 6m motorhome with enormous garage, shower room, fixed bed, etc etc. Would love you to review one of those like the Adria Compact or the Dethleffs Globebus T1 ......

Looking at the German Westfalia website, it would appear that the second sliding door is not standard specification. It would be interesting if you could now also check out the Westfalia Nissan Michelangelo, Westfalia VW City Joker (based on the SWB T6) and compare them to the Kepler One, Marco Polo and Jules Verne. Then of course there is the Westfalia Ford Transit Nugget with it's rear kitchen. The Westfalia Fiat Amundsen and Columbus ranges are complete families and quite extensive and a story for itself and the Westfalia VW Crafter Sven Hedin then sits above the T6 LWB based Kepler family sizewise and compares with the larger 6xx Fiat Amundsen and Columbus products

Excellent review. I have to admit though that i couldn't warm to the van. The trauma vent looks like it would be blocked by the sliding door. love cream leather but not in a camper. The door looked like it was almost fowling the awning. Also a huge gap between it and the van so that would need to be blocked up somehow.I did like a few things though- low lighting and the quality of the cabinets.

Good video! Keep up the good work! These alternative vans are packed with features and tick lots of boxes. However they always seem a little home made compared to the California. I can see where the VW R&D and experience come in to making an amazing product. Obviously I’m biased as a Cali owner but at that price level for me - the VW quality, design and finish wins every time. For these vans to be competitive they need to be a lot cheaper IMO.

    • @cr0ft-2k
      @cr0ft-2k 6 років тому +2

You could attach panels to the pop-top, no problem. Just have to do it intelligently so you don't create leaks. That big pop-top should easily fit a nice domestic style 300 watt panel, I'd wager (haven't measured, so I don't know, just guessing.) Easier still to glue down some flexible thin panels on there for better aerodynamics, but the good flexible panels cost money (your Solbian and whatnot).

Amazing van, love the quality of the coach work, but can you afford to lose the boot storage for the loo/shower? Where would you but the outside table/chairs, awning, etc.
Need to check it out to judge if the quality is worth more than the utility of a California. This has placed the cat amongst the pigeons.

Enjoyed the video, thank you. The van wouldn't be for me for a few reasons. Assuming the cost would be an issue. Not sure who the target audience is that Westfalia an Mercedes are aiming at. If I'd been mountain biking or hill walking, come back to the van with a dog and myself resembling mud monsters there is no way I would get into that plush interior. Also I feel they've tried to cram too much into too small a space.
Interesting but I'm keeping my van

Another great review guys and thanks for all you effort. Love the quality of the Westfalia products they are beautiful but I am afraid this layout just would not suit me. As per my comments on the Kepler One. Do they supply nose and ear plugs for the other passenger when the toilet is being used? Seriously though. The toilet is ok for occasional or emergency use but I think the shower is a wast of time. Personally I need somewhere to be comfortable with a couple of wet dogs on a rainy and probably cold evening in the highlands. Picture one dog drooling at the cooker whilst the other is whinging to gets its ball thrown, My wife going nuts making the risotto telling me to play with the dogs and get out the way...... It's just not going to happen in that layout. By the way is the table fixed or can it be removed? Cheers and best wishes.....ready for another season, Ive just had my habitation check... and so has the van ;>

Good video - many thanks guys. Nice for a day van (including a loo!), and occasional camper for a couple, but too 'posh' an interior that could get filthy if you come in from walking the moors in the mud! Don't much like the basic 'curtains', or the look of them from outside - Westfalia sometimes does screens better. No views of front screens! I think I still prefer a VW Transporter! Cheers.
