My chickens lay on their backs with their legs straight up in the air. The first time I came home to that, I thought they were all dead!

Great video! I never knew about the gular flutter or even if that action had a name. It's interesting to know that the action serves a purpose.

I saw one of my chickens doing the gula flutter when it was soo hot recently. I was wondering why it was doing that. I was honestly getting a bit worried but now I know it was doing the gula flutter because it was a really hot day. Thanks to your video 😄.
This video was really good and helpful😁 now I know when my chickens are too hot and I need to do something about it.

I love your videos ❤️❤️ I’m 15 years old and I just started a UA-cam channel talking about chickens too

Just subscribed to your channel. Looks like you started it pretty recently, but it's growing a lot faster than mine did when I first started. Definitely keep it up! 😀

are they smart enough to get in a small kiddie pool with cool water in it?

Some people have had luck with that and others haven't. Depends on the chickens. If you try it, I recommend first putting treats or feed in the empty pool. Then maybe fill it with just a layer of water - put a concrete block in it (or other platform that sticks out of the water) and put treats on the (dry) concrete to entice them in. Gradually increase the water level. A lot of chickens are terrified of new things (like a swimming pool) - it's called 'neophobia' and it helps to keep prey animals from getting killed by curiosity. So I find whenever I introduce anything new, baby steps are the way to go.

Hilarious video, love it. Love the Flight of the Bumblebee, haha!! The first time I saw my girls laying on the ground I thought they broke their legs and were dying. They weren't happy when the "lady that feeds us tasty treats" (that's me) interrupted their dirt bath. Oh well. Now I'm all the wiser. 😊
