Fort is a 2-4 player card game about building forts and following friends.
In Fort, you're a kid! And like many kids, you want to grow your circle of friends, collect pizza and toys, and build the coolest fort.
By doing this cool stuff, you'll score victory points, and at the end of the game, the player with the most victory points wins! Your cards not only let you take actions on your own turn, but also let you follow the other players' actions on their turns. Will you devote yourself to your own posse, or copy what the other kids are doing?
But be careful as your carefully constructed deck might start losing cards if you don't actually use them. After all, if you don't play with your friends, why should they hang out with you anymore?

A lot of deck builders are almost individual solo games. This game sure isn't. A lot of interaction and paying attention to what others are doing, playing, etc.
The copy enemy backpack puts it in your stuff

A point of clarification - at 8:05 I believe you can only recruit 2 cards because you can not fully resolve the condition a third time (putting a toy in your stuff), because you only have 2 empty slots in your stuff?

@@Quackalope Doh! just got there in the video. Good catch. Do you find the strict requirements in Fort of when you can and can't do things hard to internalize? It seems like that could be a bit of a barrier in teaching Fort
I beleive he could not have played the addon card. With the addon card, he cannot carry out that action fully, so he MUST carry out the private action fully, which leaves him with only ONE toy slot left, so no further suites can be played for the public action. Just one card, and one toy.

Great play through and production! Some of you guys missed recruiting a lot throughout the game and when you buff the multiplier can you use the same suit for top and bottom? Or is it supposed to be discard from had to buff and then repeat for the other action?

Alright so it took a bit to finish watching but, first off, dogs in the background, annoying yes but just a part of life :D so no worries there. But the game looks light enough to teach family, fast enough to keep everyone interested, I love the interaction on other peoples turns, and most of all it really is just about having friends and playing games :D
you can’t use resources from backpack to pay for a fort level up. They don’t leave the backpack.
why not? i can't see that on the rulebook.
"Pay the resources shown between your current and next
Fort Level, returning them to the shared supply. You may
pay from your Stuff, Pack, or both. Then, move your fort
level marker to the next Level. Your new Level may prompt
you to gain a card, as described in Fort Level (page 10)"
