I neglected to mention that this disc is definitely very low glide and really wants to get to the ground but you guys can see those attributes clearly in the footage. Also keep in mind that the disc has less dome than it appears in the video due to the angle and perspective of the camera. It does have a slight pop in the center of the plate but I barely noticed it during testing.
Video: A really well covered review. Love the comparisons, love the detailed description of how the disc feels and acts with different styles of throws. Really well made review. Dyes: Some more stripes in there but in red? 🤔 Could work. The Justice looks simply beautiful, love it. The A3 hits my pet peeve in dyeing, which is that I like dyed discs to be dyed on both sides, don't like the white underside.
I will go from Most OS to least in current production when new: Metal Flake Champion, limited production part of the Innova site G-Star, Star, then DX. Champion was or is in very small runs like the Metal Flake maybe a tad less OS though more glide for the Champion version when it was made so a tick less OS. Yeah somehow the G-star is a tick more OS then the Star due to G-Star having A Tick less glide so wanting to hit the ground sooner. I only know due to a person who uses the mold, my brother in G-Star limited run and Metal Flake now. Bother did used DX Gator before one beat in for a putter before he got the DX Stud, one of the closer putters to a Gator and then a near to new disc for his approach/short midrange disc.
Modern Champion comes in two types a standard that is OS more then Star is now past 2000's and some Stiff and slick stuff that even in production runs is too stiff for PDGA and you have to have the disc sit outside or in a car for about an hour to be ready and not beyond PDGA rules. I got lucky with some backup oop Shark 3 in both Production and factory second.
From what i gather gator has much less glide than zone? Is it similar stability but less glide so less vertical movement than zone? And how does gator compare to deflector? Deflector is often too stable for most throws so thinking about star gator for predictable straighter flight that drops more than zone in headwinds etc, would you recommend star gator for this?
Yah Gator has less flight than a zone I'd say. Deflector is more aggressive with its fade than the Gator. I think you're on a good path with the Star Gator. Sockibomb Slammer might be a good one to look into as well.
@@DiscGolfNerd thx for the reply, would you say star gator is straighter flight than z line zone on 80 meter approach shot? Atleast less lateral movement due to lower glide i assume?
My runway is the beefy king. I actually got it to replace my Mint Bobcat but I ended up bagging both since the bobcat isn’t close to as overstable as the runway.

Nice. Looking forward to the Justice review. Has been a staple in my bag for years
The spin die on that Justice is beautiful.

The flight reminds me a bit of a Zone with less Glide. Great video!
I just got myself a glow champion gator3 and holy hell, it is basically a Mutant but with durability that lasts more than 1 season😍 awesome disc
I just swapped the Justice in my bag to the Caiman. The Caiman feels amazing in the hand
Caiman is also on my list to review. So many discs!

I've never thrown a star Gator so not really sure
How does this compare to the RocX3?
Well done btw. Very thorough as always
Been so long since I tested rocx3 but I am pretty sure it had more glide and less stability overall. Really don't remember tho tbh
@@DiscGolfNerd thanks good to know
Gators are great... A3 is a shallower, better feeling Gator in better plastic, though. There, I said it.
Innova is cooler than prodigy. But prodigy is my 2nd favorite.
Gotta grab yourself an RPM Kea and a Runway from Streamline!

@@collinqs2541 love my Runways.
Looks like your Gator has some bite to it.
