Wha-who! 1st comment 😅. Bruins need to make moves to take them to the next tier. Since our beloved GM took over about 9yrs ago, the Bs have been a step below those teams in contention of the cup. Don has NOT helped Boston elevate and in Boss-town, it's about championships, and we have nothing under Sweeney. Just stating facts...
I am with you in wanting a championship in Boston. However, let's give Sweeney some credit. He has given the Bruins a fighting chance to win the cup in most of his years in Boston. He cannot be the blame for some players not being able to elevate their game to a Stanley Cup level. No, he's not perfect, and improvements are needed, but he's done well here. In fact, his peers think highly enough of him to select him as GM of Team Canada for the 2025 NHL 4 Nations Face Off.
If sweeney picks this scrub its 2015 all over again. Just because hes tall. Remember he play3d this past season in a low level lousy league. Waste of the 25th pick when hes ranked arond 60. Jett lauchenko liam greentree would be way better than him
We need a center that scores 40-50 goals. We already have a boat load of second, third, fourth lined centres that are good at scoring 20 goals. I know that’s a tall task but if they want to really be contenders do we not need a number one line?
Sort of a clickbait title. Are you insinuating that the “REAL REASON” (in all caps, like it’s amazing, breaking news) for the trade was to acquire Mark Kastelic? I don’t understand the point of your video? 👎 You seem like a nice kid, and I can feel your passion for hockey through the screen. But you’re gonna have a hard time making it to that 3k subs mark with videos like this. Just give it a normal title that lets us know what the topics in the video are. Trust in yourself, don’t rely on clickbait BS to draw people in.
I think at $3 mil Korpasalo is a pretty expensive guy to send down to the AHL if Bussi beats him out in training camp. Still don't see the logic, sorry Sweeney!
Kastelic needs to be tougher. He's ripped, so he is certainly capable of it. 4th line PK would be a good role for him, but definitely he needs to embrace the gritty bruin culture and get tougher and meaner for him to succeed.
Sens fan here… Kastelic is a monster of a human. I think he even has some gym/weightlifting records here in Ottawa. But you are correct, he’s not nearly as nasty on the ice as you’d like him to be. I just don’t think it’s in his personality. I’m not sure if you’ve seen/heard him speak yet. But he’s very quiet and mild mannered. A gentle giant type. He’s very polite and respectful. You’ll like him. I just wish he was meaner. But he is very good at faceoffs, and he has surprising straight line speed. You don’t always notice it during the games, but he can move once he gets going. He won fastest skater one year, but I can’t remember if that was for Ottawa or when he was on Belleville (our AHL affiliate). Other things worth noting: He scored a lot in junior. So he does have a good shot. Just at the NHL level he hasn’t put it all together. He was also a captain in junior (Calgary Hitmen WHL), so he does have leadership qualities as well.
He was 100% in the dot on pp last season and 75% in the dot on pk last season. We need face offs. We got them. He fights. We got that. He's fast, most thumpers aren't. I think he's gonna play his best hockey in a bruins uniform. He's gonna be used for terror netfront. If they can get him to learn to tip the puck , he'll score some goals for us too.
@DizzyDez613 as a bruins fan, I think he will fit in just fine. I'm waiting to see him play our game. I think he's gonna play his best hockey as a bruin.
@@christopherlydon-sr1gu I agree he’ll fit in Boston. Just be prepared to yell at your TV at times when he has the perfect opportunity to lay someone out and DOESNT. Cuz he does a lot of that. But who knows, maybe Ottawa coaches weren’t good at getting him fired up to do that. 🤷🏻♂️ Time will tell. He’s a great guy, you’ll love his shy/sweet personality.
I was impressed with what I saw of Sacha Boisvert in his highlights reels. Crafty, great passer, good hockey IQ and sees the game at a high level already (can't teach this). Reminds me of a baby Marc Savard. Needs some work on his FO skills and put on about 20# of muscle.
More on the smaller side... but thats the guy we need ... -> Trevor Connolly if hes available... he gotta put some more pounds on his frame next year but the kid's insane

I believe the Bruins are targeting (C) Dean Letourneau with the 25th pick. He has a very high ceiling. I believe Colorado is also interested
I spoke about him in my last video if you were interested

@@buckwing6743same with Cole Beaudoin
bad pick
hes not worth a first
I am a sens fan. I have a feeling boston will turn kastelic into the player hes suppposed to be. Heavy forechecking 4th line center.
I'd rather have Cole Beaudoin at #25‼️

Lmao 50 goals isn’t happening
Buddy thinks that this is chel lmao
We need a top line center that does well at the dot
New Sub. Love your work young man. Keep on keeping on.
Also, hats off to you Kirk for another good show. (and by the way I noticed your hat was off) lol
Don’t worry, Korpi will clear waivers no problem.
Nobody is gonna take that contract for free
Letourneau, Beaudoin, Luchanko or Parascak would be solid picks at 25.

Korpisalo, is not going to the AHL.
The bruins need more muscle! They play like they still have Chara to back them up. A big center would be perfect
Kasty is a big boy who plays soft. Sorry but we have seen that for years in Ottawa.

Getting a goon who cant win a fight - thats Sweeney for you

doubt he drops to 25 beaudoin is more realistic
Ty sub from BC Canada
Letourneau always played in college... you have no idea how he will perform next year...
uhhh he is ranked to go as low as the 3rd round sounds like senyshen but 6 foot 7
They might give it away to get a veteran. You never know.
More on the smaller side... but thats the guy we need ... -> Trevor Connolly if hes available... he gotta put some more pounds on his frame next year but the kid's insane
Trevor connelly will be a steal
not a brutal trade. just not what people hoped for.
A 25th pick? I'm picking the best player available! Top ten different approach, fill your need....
I would rather run with Swayman and Bussi. Hopefully some unfortunate team will take the other dude off our hands
They added another Beecher lol defensive and a offensive black hole
Sweeney took a big gamble...in a way it makes sense hope it works!
Can one of the other team make an hostile offer to swayman ? it can happends ? they have rights to do if they want ?
You can't offer sheet an RFA

So what was the real reason for this lame trade? Still don’t have a logical explanation.
Cole B is mid. More mid . Exactly what the bruins love. Forever mid. Never winning cup again
