The Outpost is an action, adventure, drama series from the CW network. Created by Jason Faller and Kynan Griffin. Starring Jessica Green, Jake Stormoen, and Anand Desai- Barochia.
The Outpost follows the story of Talon(Green) the sole survivor of the Blackbloods. She is determined to haunt down killers of her family and at the same time slowly learning about her supernatural abilities. Another example of a show where the critics and audience is miles a part! I believe what critics often miss is what the show relates to the average viewer who is only looking for an escape for an hour from the daily rat race vs a critic who is trying to break down the screen quality involved in the production of a show. I personally like the show background because it reminds me of shows like Hercules and Zena from my youth which were actually fun to watch due to their easy to follow narratives along with mixture of serious & fun characters.

Exactly!!! Critics don't know squat, it's usually some cis white guy with little to no personality (no offense to cis white dudes just making an observation of what I've observed throughout most of my 38 years of life).
I think they cancelled it because it was too intelligent. Or maybe because the story lines were too good. "Hey, this is a decent show, let's cancel it." Absolutely ridiculous.
I think canceling this show is a huge mistake it’s very popular and enjoyable Jessica green is awesome as talon it’s a great story I think it really should continue

Our family mad they canceled the show..I wish Queen Rosman did not leave .It sucks they canceled it...It was getting so good !!! Love Wren too. Love the ending cast but wish Queen Rosman did not die. We are mad it ended!!!

I truly hope they change their mind I want a season 5,6,7 my daughter's just started watching it she likes it .I like the show also
I really like that they don't spend too much time on drama or show any nudity. The acting is solid enough to carry the story.
I'm extremely disappointed that @TheCW has chosen to end #TheOutpost. The critics should revisit the show and revise their unfavorable comments. After a shaky start (am I the only one who loved S.1ep.1) the show really took off. The episodes for 3 and 4 have consistently been rated 9.3 and up, and is trending in the top 10 and even the top 5 in top scripted shows on the night of the airing. #TheOutpost is a gorgeous show as its production values skyrocketed once it was moved to Serbia. The writers, cast and crew are all brilliant and what's more, The Outpost was original. Talon, played by the stunning Jessica Green, was made even more of a joy to watch because Jessica Green is skilled in MMA and Muay Thai and they frequently allowed her to do her own stunts. It was refreshingly unpredictable, an edge of your seat rollercoaster ride of emotions that left us wanting more at the end of the hour and impatiently waiting for next week.
What a shame The CW didn't see the value in one of the most close to perfect sci-fi/fantasy shows out there.
Wow. Someone who actually "got it". That this was indeed a fantasy/sci-fi show. I don't think most people who watched it caught on to the sci-fi elements. It was a brilliant set up for an amazing story, which could have easily lasted 10 seasons. Sadly, this is the last remaining show I looked forward to, week after week. So, after the finale, I am pretty much done with network style tv shows. What a waste. Great actors, great set design, great stories...this show had it all. It is a sad day.
@@genx7006 Most of the time, this was the only show I turned the TV on for at all. I haven't been this caught up in any show since Dark Angel in the early 2000's. Sadly, that was canceled after 2 seasons. What an excellent show with an amazing cast and brilliant writers, like The Outpost. It was replaced by Firefly that suffered the same fate after episodes being shown out of order and like The Outpost, often preempted in major markets by sports. The ratings then looked artificially low. We keep hoping (however slim the chances) that The Outpost gets picked up by another network.
@@tinamichelsnelson1563 I also hated that they canceled Dark Angel after two seasons. It was a great show. As for The Outpost, I would rather a show end as its still popular than being one of those shows that go on too long and the storylines stop making sense. I loved it and hate seeing it go.
TheCW seems to do this alot, they cut popular shows and zombify not so popular ones. Its wierd how many shows start off well and things go sideways, usually around season 3 either cancelling or the writers start unwinding things, getting sidetracked, following formulae, or outright cancellation. Its rather painful… especially considering how often it happens and what shows end up staying on for what seems like forever. Even if the ending isn't a cliffhanger there can always be another season. Take Lucifer for example. It's been cancelled and restarted twice cuz we're such amaaaaaazing fans! Hehe
just watching 5th season of lucifer and not very happy it turend to a cartoon and musical ..........
Lucifer is an example of why there shouldn't be another season due to fans wanting another season.Season 5 was announced as Lucifer's final season until they gave in and decided to rewrite the second part of season 5 to extend to season 6 because fans didn't want to let it go and it was awful.The only interesting part was Dan's storyline of how he got to heaven.The whole thing about Lucifer & Chloe having a time traveling daughter where we were wondering why Lucifer "abandoned" her & Chloe was lame

It does really cracked me up that it's extremely popular with the audience 88% is actually really great the critics are just stupid and have not given this show it's fair chance.
They'll sit through season 1 of Game of thrones but not through a few seasons of this show.
And I say this as a man who is currently watching Game of thrones for the third time
The budget is obviously lower which is why it should get at least a final season to end things.
I really like the drama and story telling with this last season being the best so far.
In that aspect I can compare it to game of thrones.
Sure the first season may be a little dull
But it quickly picks up in the second.
A massive budget doesn't make a great show
In a small budget doesn't necessarily make a terrible show.
It's all about how you use what you got.
I dislike games of throne but love the Outpost

my thoughts are that you shouldn't name your movie "The Outpost Season 5 May NEVER Happen.. Here's The REAL Reason Why!" but "a summary of what was in the previous episodes"

Very simply said, the Outpost is the best movie series I have ever seen in my whole life. After end of series 4 I am searching for something similar but still haven't found anything comparable. I then watched all the Outpost series again, unfortunately, again I got to the end. In my opinion, the Outpost does not have excellent production like Marvel series or Avatar, however its story is equally deep and captivating. Moreover, the Outpost has advantage of many parts by which collectively even beats the famous Hollywood films. Outpost actors may not be world top famous, maybe the are not much known, but gradually you fall in love with all of them. I am missing very much series 5. There is always potential to continue. I know a lot of main characters are finished (dead) yet there will surely be children of Janzo, Talon, Munt, etc. Zed may also get married and the Realm can be more investigated and a lot of interesting ancient artifacts can still be discovered. The story can even continue partly on another planet and introduce other powerful beings... there are milions possibilities. And the worst of all is not to continue Outpost series at all. How deeply sad. I still can not believe it. CW may continue the Outpost. CW have already proven, they can make magnificent movie without expensive production if the story is deep and interesting and heart dedicated actors are staffed.

A good story trumps a lot. Network executives also canceled Firefly, which was a great show fans loved. Just shows how out of touch the people at the top are. I'm halfway through season 2 of The Outpost and it's got great potential. Better FX and a little more character development and it's close to The Shannara Chronicles. Plus, shows don't need an overabundance of FX to be good. Babylon 5 had excellent story telling but some of the CGI, OK at best, still a great show.
I only just discovered and binged all four seasons. The "critics" are out of touch talking heads. The show was very good story-telling and acting. I don't need whatever massive budget sets & effects those "critics" are whining about. They have lost the plot.
I would want them to make the up coming new season . I would want to know what happened ????

Yea its disappointing. Arrowstorm always does create great low budges, Indy movies. Especially fantasy. When they announced the outpost, I was super excited. The fav isn’t a easy choice, but the way how the brewer is played, i go with janzo

You'll be waiting a long time. The show has been officially canceled after the season 4 finale.
Yeah so I have some negative thoughts about this video. But good attempt though.
This show was awesome. With all of the $hi+ shows the CW has playing, I do not see how they can afford to cancel the Outpost. It has everything. and I loced the lighting. Everything on films and CW today has that Dark knight look to it and I hate it. Everything has taken a darker dreary tone like the late 70’s and early 80’s movies.

filled with action and the plot was smart and made sense.

looked forward to this coming on every year especially with the best show leaving, this was the only good show left. I do not know what is wrong with the CW, but it has taken a dreary turn. I like just about nothing that comes on this channel.
It used to be a place ai could depend on period pieces, sci-fi and superhero’s. But Everything is
dark and no longer exciting. We have Superman who has
baby mama drama and kids with depression. We have brought back Charmed with depression, cancer and all the other things that we have to go thru in reality. I watch tv to get away from reality. It is like watching a show about going to work and paying bills. WTH. Dont we get enough of this in real life.
The writers and producers have no imagination.
I need to find a New channel that has uplifting action packed period pieces that is funny and witty. ai

shows that they only showed one season but I would have like to see at least 5 or more would be Emergence, The messengers, Star Crossed, Secret Circle, Krypton, O cannot think of the name of the one where there was a community of ppl who could teleport to different places. That was a good show.

connect with the audience. The CW need to commit to a broadcast and give them 20 episodes. Naomi is a great show, that should have gotten 20 episode. You at the CW need to commit with 20
episode and stop giving breaks every 4-5 episodes. Play 10 episodes every week,

It would be cool to spin off following Luna and periodically returning to the outpost as her base keeping the cast intact. If not I hope Jessica Green picks up another action pact acting job maybe she could do a spy thriller 😃 it don't matter I'll take anything 😆
I wish Talon " Greene" would come back but I love the character Luna too but not as much as Greene ...love to see talon,wren janzo,capt Garrett, lady Gwynn, zed. I like Marshal Withers,Munt. THEY SHOULD BRING IT BACK

After hearing that, I'm not going to buy it. I have at least 3 good shows and they just dropped them. Cliffhangers and all and no next season.
