I live in a city in Iraq, it was 2014 and ISIS was on the border of our city, at that point i saw no way out and death seemed inevitable, i was extremely scared i had insomnia and panic attacks, i found this song and every time i felt scared or anxious i would listen to it and it would calm me down and give me motivation. I found the song again after 10 years after a lot of googling and searching and im so glad i did.
This song has held a special place in my heart ever since I was in middle school hearing it in one of my favorite amvs, and after going through The Cab's entire discography and being surprised by how much I loved many of their songs, this is still my absolute favorite of theirs. The message is still so life-affirming and invigorating, the melodies so resonant and nostalgic with an underlying tinge of melancholy, the instruments in the chorus still so hard-hitting, the song is goddamn anthemic. Time waits for no one, so we've gotta be living louder tonight.
Anyone else imagined a whole bunch of senior proms and high school graduations when you heard this song? Very anthemic for kids around that age. And even someone who's a bit older like me can appreciate this. Good job Cab!
my ex introduced this band to me when we're together. I only have the courage today to listen to it once more 'cause I am finally healed. I am not crying anymore while listening to these songs like I used to when we broke up. this band have tge best songs.
Soooo I’m now 28 and I first heard this song around 2012. This still gives me the encouragement and uplift that I need to pursue my wife and my vision for the future. “Living Louder” reminds me that life is too short and too precious to live in the shadows of our doubts and insecurities. I hope that everyone who hears this realizes that their aspirations are worth chasing, and that their dreams are never out of reach as long as they’re willing to put forth a small amount of effort to get the journey started!
No seriously, if you don't like the song then don't waste your time clicking the dislike button. It only makes you seem like a douche. Anywhore this is my favorite album (Symphony Soldier). I can't even choose which song I like the most let-a-lone dislike (which is none) ;P
That's Joey Thunder. He plays bass. There's also Dave on drums. Usually the Alex's do accoustic shows together, but when they do a regular concert, the full band is usually there.
@eatupmahHEART same here. i swear they give GOOD music an entirely new meaning. the music has passion and the lyrics not only makes sense, but they have a story behind them. that's what makes a song. and THEY are the meaning of good music :) just heard of them about 20 minutes ago and i am instantly hooked.
@California039 The lyrics are different, but the choruses sound the same. I mean the part: "Say tomorrow I can't follow you there" and "Baby I'm living louder And dreaming longer, tonight" sound way to similar. I don't know, it's just that i listened to thousands of songs and i never found 2 songs that have such similar choruses. But don't get me wrong, it'd be amazing if every band would sound similar to Yellowcard, but too similar isn't good either.
I hope they'll make a comeback. Their songs are amazing! Can't stop myself from playing their songs over and over again.
Janeal Kim-Park same me
As do I! I grew up to these guys. They sound like how my high school felt
why is the cab so damn underrated?
