  • J.I. Packer said of the Puritans, ‘all creation, so far as they were concerned, was sacred, and all activities, of whatever kind, must be sanctified, that is done to the glory of God…. Seeing life whole, they integrated contemplation with action, worship with work, labour with rest, love of God with love of neighbour and of self, personal with social identity, and the wide spectrum of relational responsibilities with each other, in a thoroughly conscientious and thought-out way.'
Dr Benedict Bird, a faculty member of Westminster Seminary UK, examines the life and legacy of ten Puritan men and women, showing us why George Whitefield could say, ‘The Puritans [were] burning and shining lights.’

Bold, firm, faithful. This man is a follower of Jesus Christ, the word of God.
I recognize the need to allow God's reformation of my own heart and am encouraged to hear about His reformation of the church.
    Matthew 7:4-5 ESV
[4] Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? [5] You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.
May our hearts be conformed to God's will, may the eklessia be reformed from any hypocrisy and unfaithfulness. Thank you for sharing about the faithful followers, sinners though we all are it is good to emulate the behavior which is caused by humble obedience to God.
