these are just super creative and in places like Anthropologie or west elm would be so expensive. people get so scared by making things at home but its really not that difficult!! I love this idea.
Yesss Eunice! One of my guilty pleasures is browsing through West Elm catalogs but knowing that I can't afford anything 😭😭 these were so creative and well done though -- no need to pay the designer price when you can make them yourself! Impressed as always :)
Small tip: For the 1st candle holder, you can hash some scratches on the 2 surfaces of clay that you want to connect to make them stick together better! I love the pink arch holders you made!!
Wow you made the candle holders, amazing lol this reminds me of ceramics class. 2:30 I can relate to that ahah. I thought you were going to place them into a clay kiln, but they look perfect just dried out too. Super smart making the holders yourself especially since they're so expensive online. You basically made all of them yourself, and with creativity too great job.
Ohhh gosh! This is really creative! I actually loveee having candles coz they are so relaxing! And i loved that once u couldn't find them anywhere, u just made yours❤❤❤Creativee❤
This video speaks to me bc I love pottery and painting! I’m going to def try this!!! My favorite is also the arch bc you giggled every time you said cuboid LOL love the little doodles!
wow i love diy videos and this is soooo pretty and simple! ❤️❤️ and candles for autumn are so cozy hehe i need to try! seriously love ur channel so much and so glad i found ya! new subbie here 🤍🤍 would love to stay connected and be friends girl!
I need to get a like and subscribe board so I can point to it; such a good idea. And also you have some good books on your shelf! Whenever I do DIY activities, it never turns out the way it's supposed to. We tried one of those paint nights and I felt like a 3rd grader painted mine! Haha!
that board was a gift from my friends and it became so useful for videos! & thanks! haha paint nights are so fun. DIY's definitely something you can practice to get better at :)
I don't use candles, but I enjoyed watching you make candle holders. It's always enjoyable watching you make stuff. Love DIY! Thank you for showing us the process, Eunice!
Omg!!! So happy I found your channel! I've been thinking of buying long candle holders to decorate my room but they're so expensive!!! LOVE your tutorial and how you edited the video too! 😍😍Just subbed and hope to connect on YT xx
Your video has saved me! I needed taper candle holders for the unity candles at my wedding and the prices of these pieces are out of my budget 😣 Purchased some air drying clay to give this a try!
These are cool but I would’ve made them thinner and I hope your not leaving your candles to burn on your bookshelf 🔥 I would use a fillet knife and clean it off before slicing. You can buy white air dry clay. By adding Plaster of Paris you can create your own chalk paint
3:29 clay contracts, it doesn’t expand (that’s why you need to be careful not to leaves it to dry onto something that risks sticking as it may break when you attempt to unstick it).
Awesome! How did you prevent the clay from cracking while drying? I’m seeing lots of comments on Amazon about how air dry clay cracks terribly. Def wanna avoid that!
Thank you! Ensure that you're keeping it fresh & sealed when storing, expose all sides when drying so it dries evenly, and don't make your clay pieces too thin as that can cause cracking too. If cracks still form, you can seal with mod podge or some sealant and paint over to cover the cracks. Hope that helps!
These are really beautiful! I want to ask a question. I want to make a shell candle holder from polymer clay. And i want to pour the candle in it. Will there be a damage due to fire?
Thank you!! ❤️I have not worked with polymer clay yet so I'm not too sure. I read online that it should be okay if you're using a tea light candle holder, but if the flame is to the side of the clay or below - it can cause fumes and darken/scorch the clay
Do you think you could leave the candle inside the holder as to prevent it from becoming too small... maybe even spray some of the oil on it? Let me know if someone has tried that
I'd be curious about this too! Worried it'll crack as you pull the candle out bc of how tight it is, but maybe you could leave it some extra room along with spraying some oil. Thanks for watching ❤️
Hello po thank you for sharing. have a nice day i hope you can help me too i need your hugs keep it up stay connected keep safe godbless po😇🤙from the philippines🇵🇭

3:29 clay contracts, it doesn’t expand (that’s why you need to be careful not to leaves it to dry onto something that risks sticking as it may break when you attempt to unstick it).
Thanks for the note! that makes sense. I just did another clay creation and made sure to let dry on wax paper!
Doesn’t the clay crack if you don’t put it in an oven? Looks great btw ☺️
Thank you! It's an air dry clay so no oven necessary :)

@@Euniceathome THANK YOU SO MUCH❤
So you paint the candleholders while the clay is still soft ?
After they have dried! you want to let them fully dry so the paint doesn't trap moisture. Thanks for watching :)
