Great info. But only the back bit of the console needs to be removed. The centre part and gear surround can stay in place. Just take off the back part the the handbrake cover can easily be removed. Then adjust either with 10 mm open end spanner, or even easier, if you have the spring clip on just pop it off and use a swivel head ratchet ring spanner. BTW, I found a £2 coin that previous owner had lost!
Good video. If you have an illuminated gear knob, remember to lift the gear stick cover panel (01:04) & disconnect the wiring loom before you unscrew the gear knob (00:50). The previous owner of my Fez (2009 Mk7 Titanium) didn't think of that & it was only when I lifted the cover panel to do this job that I noticed the 2 wires that had been twisted off. I usually just remove the gear stick cover panel & then the cup holder tray to get at the adjuster nut, leaving the rear part in place (mine has those 2-part press-in studs holding it) but nothing wrong with removing all of it.
I managed to adjust on my 2017 Mk7.5 with just removing the lever boot , help to soften it, for easing out if heated with a heat gun or hair dryer , it was easier and helped it was a 10 mm securing nut on mine , saved stripping the centre console :-)
2018 Fiesta: Its a lot easier on our 2018 car. With handbrake on you only need to remove the boot around the lever nothing else. Pull up in the middle and tabs on the front and rear should disengage. No need to remove the boot fully, just turn 90 degrees so its out of the way. Put car in gear and or chock the wheels. Release the hand brake as far as possible but still able to get a 13mm socket or a box/tube spanner on the adjuster. You might need a deep socket but a regular on a short extension just worked for us. Make a few turns and recheck the throw on the handbrake. Dont tighten it too hard with the hand brake on. Yes it was a 13mm lock nut, not 10mm.
thank you my friend my Mechaniker told me that we need to change hand brake lines cause the handbrake wasn't adjustable so I googelt and it came out that my car has an ajustable handbrake I thank you very much
You'll be pleased to know on the 2022 Feista, Mark? There is a easy access trim below the lever just for the adjuster, 1 click with screwdriver and there's the adjuster 13mm nut :-)
I like your video and it's informative. I got same car and recently the handbrake drift button pop out. I can see the spring in the hole, but there is nothing to screw that silver button back on. Do you have idea why?
It's a lot easier on a 2018 Fiesta. Only need to partly remove the boot/gaiter around the hand brake lever, nothing else. A deep 13mm socket or box/tube spanner would help with the adjustment but we got away with a regular 13mm socket.

Hello bro. Work in Ford ka o figo?
Any idea on how to change the trip computer on the fiesta edge?
Sehr gut erklärt, Topp
👍👍👍
Is it the same in the mk7.5?
As far as I know yes
Good god, thought it would be easier.

So does this make the handbrake hold better?
Yes m8
Me cuesta mucho bajar freno de mano
THIS IS A MK 6
