- A brief video showing something unusual - the Downpatrick & County Down Railway's Road-Rail Thwaites dumper in action. Downpatrick track team stalwart Dessie is shunting it out of the way before the start of the Mayday steam trains.
The D&CDR purchased this from England and re-gauged it to 5'3", it's a versatile piece of plant that is very useful during tracklaying and other works.
And despite initial appearances, no - it isn't being used to haul the three coaches in the platform line!
