Born and raised but will never suggest any one to move there. It's like living in a third world country. No matter how much they paint it gentrify it far Rockaway will always be a place of lost souls. That place is haunted with death....
Not true. There's Alot of gorgeous homes in the upper parts of the beach. And many other parts have very nice homes. And no offense but I think you probably grew up around the less savory folk's and that's probably muddied your perspective. Far Rockaway is like anywhere, There are rough parts and nice part's. If you want trouble you will certainly find it. But if you keep your nose clean and associate with the right kind of people, You'll be just fine. That's the problem I notice with Alot of people who grew up in bad neighborhoods, They paint the world like it's there little corner that they grew up in. Its a very big world out there, And Far Rockaway is extremely diverse. Been here for 7 years, Never have any problems and go out at night all the time. It all depends on who you associate with and where you choose to hang out. Alot of these stabbings and shootings are happening to people who live in those environments and participate in the street lifestyle. Those specific areas need to be cleaned, Not the entire County. There's Alot of extremely successful extremely well off people living quitely and peacefully in Far Rockaway.

@@maxd3028 Yea, The Houses by the beach are very nice. And there’s a strong police presence. Every night a Few Patrol Cars make the entire beach round’s from The Start of the board walk at beach 9th all the way to the end of the board walk in the 120s. And this video is depicting the hood not the full totality of Far Rockaway..😂😂
It’s like the Bronx, I can show you a video of the worst hood in the south Bronx, And then show you a video of all the gorgeous homes in Riverdale. Same borough, Different neighborhood.
I went to 105 in the 1980's with a brother and sister with the last name Figueroa.
@@jumpstart55million you been there 7 years secluded to one area which I'm pretty sure is safe guarded do to the type of class citizens that reside in that general area. I lived there practically my whole life from breezy point to mott Ave if murders don't get you the RIP tides will... 🤷
You should show some nice parts like bayswater and arveue by the sea and mott avenue you showed all the bad aspects

Making it look much worse than it actually is, essentially you showed three billion dollar development sites that have all gotten city approval in one video. I don’t know what your intentions were with this but clearly you are trying to paint a place in a particular light.
Nah just driving around a high crime area and showing what I see. Can’t really paint something in a bad light if all I do is drive and film what I drive past

I agree! People make Far Rockaway seem so much worse than what it really is. I moved out here almost 19 years ago. At first, I was scared because people painted Far Rockaway the worst of the worst. I am from Brooklyn. I have grown to love and appreciate this beautiful small gem. People really underestimate Far Rock, and I am happy because people don't know what they are truly missing.
New york definitely has worse places than Far Rockaway.. now that's for sure.

That block in the thumbnail is around the corner from both my brother and cousin's homes. I'm originally from Edgemere, and very familiar with Far Rock. I used to live in 439 Beach 54th, then moved to 411 Beach 54th street before moving to Jamaica.

The beaches and Rockaway are nice. Once you travel into Far Rockaway it gets sketchy and that’s what I show. There’s nothing adrenalizing ab the nice parts. I don’t make things worse than they are. I drive around and film what I see
Everyone know Far Rock is a dump. The worst part of NYC by far. Brownsville is a close second
Lived there for more than 10 years, can confirm it's trash. Rockaway doesn't need anyone to make it look worse than it is, it's already at rock bottom. You trying to protect a home town that don't deserve it, nor did it do any good to anyone who lived there. Rockaway maybe has some nice parts but the % of trash places in it far outweight any """good"""" areas lol
Wow, catching a glimpse of B 44th Street is unbelievable. It's been over 20 years since I moved away, and wow! I don't miss living there, but I was curious about how my childhood neighborhood has changed over the years.

ah mott avenue, my favorite. I lived in redfern for years so mott ave was all I knew for so long. Then I left to TN with only a few hundred in my pocket and now Ill never go back lol

Left there almost 30 years ago, and although I have "some" fond memories, I would live there now for free rent. Single motherhood has populated that place with the worst of the worst. I miss what it "used" to be, and it'll never be that again. I didn't leave anything worth going back for when I left. They can have it. They've destroyed it all anyways. That's why they are where they are, and I am where I am. It's sad, but I'll "never" go back.
Tbh, you have low crime suburbs that have an issue with so called single mothers. The entire Rockaway/Far Rock isn't all you claim it is.

Grew up there all my life till moved to Astoria . The Rock is a Depressing town & Too many projects in one school system .never going back
I grew up in far Rockaway for 30 years I loved fishing hanging out with my friends we played punch ball it was a great place to grow up in

Haha it’s when people sell car parts that could be stolen, and they sometimes also fix up cars for a cheaper price than an actual mechanic and legally it’s not allowed

farrockaway used to look beautiful back in 2004 when i first moved there but now it looks apocalyptic 💯

For New York, it’s hard but for other places, yeah it’s soft
Go to the more rough areas and tell those people what you think. Please, use your ability to post your adventure on your channel.
Also, would you prefer to live in some 24 hour active combat zone just for what you think is a flex when telling people where you're from?

@gerrygizzygarcia2572 no. Multiple gangs. Especially when you get closer to Atlantic Beach and Long Island. It becomes MS13 by box city.
Oh ok my buddy lives in far Rockaway I'll be out there tom for over a week every time I'm out there I didn't see any of that but I know there's gangs everywhere I been Brownsville Brooklyn queensbridge and I'll be going to the South Bronx and Harlem as well
