Tourette's syndrome is a neurological condition and disability which causes involuntary movements called tics. I use my platforms on social media such as TikTok, UA-cam and Instagram to advocate and raise awareness for the condition and show what it is like living with a disability as a teen in school.
My name is Zara Beth (zeezee25 on tiktok) and I post videos about tics, tic disorders and what its like to be a teen living with Tourette's syndrome, Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) and a seizure disorder (NEAD/NES).
I show what its like having tics and Tourettes in class and in school and college, vlog, and I also bake, do other challenges and answer all your questions in Q and A videos.
I am also an ambulatory wheelchair user so I show what life looks like using various mobility aids and how needs change from day to day!
I am also a musician! My newest release is my first single (original song) called "She's Mine" which is now available on all streaming services - I sing and play piano, guitar, ukulele and I write, produce, mix and master all my own songs and content myself! - Розваги

That's crazy-
Now that is an interesting place to faint but I'm glad you ok 😂
People that faint knows this is really how it goes. It’s not some dramatic thing. You go unconscious then you wake back up.
it can be dangerous, as a person with hyperglycima, the reason is the lack of blood in the head i believe. the human heart rate can be slow.
but i pass out from low blood sugar so i dont know much about high blood pressure. -PS its pretty dangerous
I do have it I agree
Not really i faint some times when I'm triggered by certain things and when I do faint it's a big scene. I was on my desk when I fainted one and fell down on the ground the other times i have falled on stone floors it's different for everyone is what I'm trying to say. I have alot of dangerous encounters with fainting it's not much like what u have described
@@labyrinth4972 yes I agree but it’s not much of the fainting in general for me but the falling aspect of it. She put her head on the desk when she felt it coming. I can tell it’s coming as well bc I’ve done it a lot. So I know when to sit down or lay down.

PSA: if you ever start to feel like you're about to faint, lay down if you can. You're much less likely to faint laying down. :)
Thats what I learned by myself. Thanks for commenting this so people can learn
This is why I won’t let med staff draw my blood unless they have a place for me to lay down during.
Or if you can't lay down, lean over and put your head between your legs like you're super close up trying to tie your shoe
Also scrunch your hands into fists repeatedly. Elevate your legs above your heart if you can too. Most of the time low blood pressure is why people faint. These will help distribute oxygen throughout your body and brain!
And when your laying down you wont end up hurting yourself from hitting the floor
I actually fainted in class a lot but I didn't get checked out
I love how you give people knowledge about what you experience with your disability... Keep on rocking!!🤘🤘

As someone with a health issue that makes me faint, I can relate. Whenever I faint in school everyone goes crazy. Once I went on a field trip where we went to an old timey doctors office. I fainted on the stairs (someone caught me). When I woke up everybody was going insane about how i wasn't dead. The old timey doctor came over to me with medical equipment and I had the glory of saying that I pass out all of the time, and i don't need it. Needless to say, i felt famous for the rest of the day. everyone was talking about it. Its crazy that in reality i only pass out for like 5 seconds, but i have a dream that is like 24 hours. The moment that you get back into reality is very weird.
Fr but mine felt like I fainted for 3 secs but my mom told me it was 10 mins💀 ( i dont have med conditions except OCD so I fainted bc i was too dizzy )
@@5hixne Same and I have almost fainted 10 times in the past 1-2 months and fainted twice and when I fainted those 2 times I was alone

@@Celestials1aurora well i fainted bc i was on the spinner for too long💀🤚🤚
Waah. I never fainted but i do get dizzy. There was this one time where i got dizzy in the bathroom and i was just holding onto the door handle for dear life. Very weird experience. Felt like floor was flying 😂.
Fainting is honestly so scary. Once when I was out shopping with my family, I didn’t have a lot of water that day so when we were walking, all of the sudden I got very dizzy. I felt like there was no ground, and then my eye sight started to black out. Before I new it, I woke back up on the ground with my family, other customers, and workers surrounding me, offering me water. Apparently they said, as we were checking out, I fell and hit my head on the buggy and then fell to the floor. Something that I will never forget, take care guys.
Edit: WAIT MOMM, I AM FAMOUS!!
you’re one of the first person to have described fainting exactly as it happened to me too!

Same 💀
Well she said her teachers already knew about her fainting
I had a classmate who had NOT told us she fainted sometimes. She suddenly fainted in class, we "panicked" and had a teacher who didn't know what to do. Honestly, my classmates did a better job here, putting her feet high and trying to stay calm and get help (teacher really had no idea what to do). One classmate was so shocked, he fainted as well.
Once she woke up, she shrugged it off like "yeah, I faint sometimes". She got picked up, but we were all pretty pissed because she scared us and acted like it was all okay.
Guys, if you are used to fainting, please inform your classmates/collegues/teachers. It is scary for us, okay. And if you forget, understand that we are shocked about what happened and don't just shrug it off. It is okay if you forget, but don't push it aside like it is no big deal, because it is for everybody else who was not informed. She later apologised when she realised the impact it made on us, so it's okay now.
I mean I get her, people don't take illnesses seriously, and then you get used to it if you've had it for years so even if you can die or end up fucked up for days it is just normal in the end.
There is also shame, I used to feel so tinny when I had to explain about my health issues I started saying nothing. That has changed of course but maybe it payed a role in your friend's reaction, people can be very cruel
I never realised that that fainting made impact on people. I used to be that girl, just faint and get back up like nothing happened and my frends used to panic and I'd just jock abt it cos i just don't wanna make them see me as that one person yk. Now the whole class know abt cos of my tr , she did a great job of telling the students abt my issues
I encountered a similar situation, only it was arguably worse and more traumatizing. I was going to school for massage therapy, and one day my classmates and I were practicing on each other. This was an open room setting, so we could all see each other. All curtains were open. I was working on a girl that we will call Daisy. Suddenly, Daisy’s head lifted up from the table, and turned to the side. At first I thought that she was trying to speak to the student on the table beside her, but no words were coming out of her mouth.. I then really noticed how odd and spastic her head movements were. I asked her twice if she was okay, with no response. That’s when she started violently seizing, much more obviously so than the beginning when she first began acting strangely. I screamed for the teacher, who came running, and luckily knew what to do. Another classmate was also a registered nurse, so she ran over to help out as well. Then the medics were called. Since I had been massaging her, I was absolutely mortified at the thought of having somehow induced this seizure.. but my teacher assured me repeatedly that that was impossible. She ended up having to leave school and return in the next cycle, poor thing. I still wonder if her doctors ever figured out what caused it 😢😩😭 but yeeeah.. it was definitely not a fun thing to witness. Scared the ever living sh*t out of me.
I have epilepsy and approx. 1 attack once a year. I have a real problem with telling people because many have prejudices. And when do you tell them? Hello, my name is xxx and by the way, I have epilepsy? But of course people that are with you often should know about it.
Please don't be angry when people don't tell you about their health conditions! Just make sure they're okay and then gently set aside a plan for next time with them! There can be many reasons why people stay silent until they have an attack, and having one is difficult enough.
U got away to sleep in class they'll think u fainted😂😂😂

You are so calm and relaxed when you know it is gonna happen you are doing well xx
Well, I fainted while I was riding a bike with my dad. Kind of scary but the black out felt peaceful, too relaxing as if I was floating. I mean everything just vanished from my head and it felt kind of nice until I woke up on the sidewalk with my dad worried as hell. Will never forget how scared and worried he looked because he caught me before I bashed my head on the road....
Happened to me in a hairdressers salon. My mom and barber worried Ash.
true! its so peaceful n idk why
I fainted whilst bowling. I chipped my tooth, when I woke up I had pain on my left cheek and a chipped tooth. The tooth hurt whenever I touched it cuz of open nerves. Sucked massively.
I didn’t faint, but I had a dancing accident where I kicked to hard and fell straight backwards, hitting my head on the concrete floor in my backyard. For that moment after a “small” numb pain in the back of my head, I just oddly felt peaceful? Like everyone was just white noise in my head, with no vision or sense of touch or anything. My mum heard me fall and took me to the hospital. My mum told me that the first thing I asked was “can I still do capoeira at home?”. The answer was a hard “no” and has been ever since 😂. My mum will never let me forget that she waited 9 hours in the hospital with me. I’ll never forget how scared she was either.

Ive fainted at a table before then i sleep walked (faint walked?) over to the couch then somehow to the bathroom 😭
i used to faint towards the end of my ED, and the first time i was at the park for a school thing and the entire student body was around me when i did. i was sitting on the park benches and my boyfriend and my bsf picked me up and set me on the ground. i hit my head which is what woke me up but i have no idea how long i was out for they never told me
I fainted at my job once and if my coworker didn’t catch me I would have smashed my head on a chair. They said my eyes rolled back and I got super pale. Scary.
I hope by “end of ED” you mean that you’re in recovery now. I’m super proud of you!
Yep, same here. Fainted at my desk at the end of the day; tried desperately to chug water and a fruit cup, but ended up sliding over and knocking the water and fruit everywhere 🙃 my best friend had to carry me to the office and thankfully by a miracle my mom showed up to school that day as I was on my way to the office; I fainted again in the hallway midway there, and the staff saw what was going on and called an ambulance for me. I had a massive bump on my forehead for a couple hours since I fell head first, and apparently I kept saying “I want to go to sleep” and “I’m so tired” (though I don’t remember saying that, I just remember feeling weightless and seeing white everywhere like a foggy haze). Also, it’s crazy how fast rumors can spread, because about ten minutes later when the bell rang, I was being wheeled out in a wheel chair and I overheard two people I’ve never seen before say “yeah someone had a seizure” 💀
Edit: by the way, I am recovered now and have the healthiest relationship with food I’ve ever had :) and I haven’t fainted since that day, which was 4 years ago now! If you’re struggling just know it’s possible to get better and so worth it. The world without you is incomplete 🌎💛 we’re in this together! 💪
the first time i fainted i was at basketball practice💀 everyone said i went green and i could not walk. the athletic trainer was really smart and knew why i fainted and he gave me a nutrigrain bar and ofc i didn’t eat it. then i recovered but now i still pass out sometimes even when i have eaten the most recent was yesterday morning i got out of the car in the school parking lot and just collapsed. Mhm odd, when your heart is beating fast you shouldn't faint atleast docs told me it wasn't possible cuz the blood etc racing trough your body or something idk. Cuz ik with anxiety people are scared they gonna faint bc of their heartbeat going so fast but well they won't it has to beat slow
After a few times you kinda feel like it’s coming before you actually faint. Usually avoid standing up when your heart starts beating really fast and try to take long breaths and go against a wall to avoid falling and hitting your head as it can be dangerous.

I once fainted in church. It was a bit of embarrassing
Hey, a person with chronic syncope and vertigo due to a heart condition here. I hated in highschool they make me lay on the floor and faint and the school never counted it as a disability. I fainted down the stairs 3 times before I refused to go to classes on the second floor and they wouldn't let me use the elevator because other kids might need it when I use it. I hope school have learn more about invisible disability and how sometimes the littlest things can help us get through our day. I know how sucky it is to faint but it's nice to see others out there.
I'm sorry that happened. I hope that you're living safely and that you're not hurting yourself when falling
I have non epileptic seizures, they used ti happen daily about 2 months ago for a year, it took until now for me to receive accomadations for this. The school system really needs to reorganize their priorities.
@@ApotheosisOfACarton non epileptic sezuires are just like epileptic sezuires and people saying undermining this is like so bad.

@mimieesong9499 Yeah, my back was to the sink when I fainted and when I woke up 3 seconds after I felt the pain...
Same. It happened to me twice, both on separate vacations. The first one was after the hot shower and I woke up with my head between the bathtub and the toilet. The second one was more recent like a few months and I cut myself on a razor in the shower. It was so stupid looking back but it was a small cut and I was putting pressure on it to stop the bleed. Needless to say I woke up on the floor again. It’s can be really scary to never feel safe taking showers but know that you aren’t alone

I’m so sorry to hear that! I’m sure when you first started it was scary? I hope it gets or it already is better!
POV: ✨GWRM ✨get ready with me to faint 😂
I swear to god she’s like that one person who says I’m resting my eyeballs 😂
I have a friend like this and every time she faints I put my hand around her because she tears up a little and for like a min doesn't remember anything and I help her with it

I haven’t fully fainted before but I’ve actually come very close to it multiple times lol. My vision goes weird to the point where I can’t see and I hear ringing in my ear as well as feeling lightheaded. I hate that feeling and couldn’t imagine having to deal with it on a regular basis! You’re so strong!!!
(Btw it’s not because I’m standing up too quickly like I’ve seen some other people say. It’s a completely different and worse feeling)
Yeah I faint on a daily basis as well, sometimes multiple times a day, sometimes I feel it coming, others I don’t.
I also hate the near feeling of fainting that's why I try to yell for help even though I can't hear myself so well & search for a chair to sit not wanting to hit the floor & fall further into unconsciousness Respect to those going thru full fainting routinely.
Have you been checked for seizures?
@@erinnorwood6124 nope, but I’m like 90% sure those times were due to exhaustion lol. Especially nights that I barely get sleep and do something very active the next day
Every time I sit down after running I am 2 steps away from passing the fuck out 😂
omg the clock is not even moving , good acting !
The new kid seeing her "SOMEONE CALL THE POLICE SHES DIEING"

I had a classmate who had terrible periods with extreme symptoms including randomly fainting due to pain. she informed us before the class but once she started fainting everyone just held their breath and waiting for her to gain consciousness again. crazy how to her it's just another Tuesday but i would wish that on no one :(
even our lecturer was scared to continue his lesson HAHA
ahh i also faint during periods.
One time my mom fainted at a random time while she was getting up after eating I was so scared idk what happened back then
Her eyes when she came back scared me half to death😭
Yo dis is the BEST excuse to take a nap in class because I ALWAYS be fallin asleep 😂😂😂
Lmao
fainting is so scary, I've only completely went unconscious at a concert and at first i thought they were slowly dimming down the lights until my vision and hearing got really staticky, my limbs and mouth got really numb & it felt like there was a huge pressure in my head. Very glad i had my partner to help me, i can't imagine going through that regularly
I had that a lot of times, between age 12 and 17 🙈 its scary
Hope ur ok
I pass out really easily:
- hitting my funny bone
- puking
- REALLY overwhelming situation emotionally
- standing up too fast
sometimes I don’t fully pass out but my vision is just pitch black and I’m very dizzy, so I can say I know what being blind feels like 😭
Does fainting feel like everything just goes black and numb?
@@Lily-ui2kz not really, it's more like a very VERY deep sleep. I suppose everyone's experience is different, but for me, it's like being in a pitch-black room but the floor is water that you can stand on. When someone calls your name to try to bring you back to consciousness, it sounds really distant at first, but gets gradually louder and louder as you become more conscious. I also come back into consciousness really distressed and confused, because for me, being unconscious was a state of calm and relaxation, but at the same time I know I can't stay unconscious forever because it's different from sleeping.
She is so pretty
Bruh same gurl i fainted in class everyday people call me attention seeker but i was literally fainted
This Lowkey was a bit relieving to watch. I have anxiety and this some concern that I might faint during class especially since I go to college but watching this made me realize I’m not alone so oddly comforting
You faint regularly due to anxiety??
@@nottzo not regularly but I have before. There is that concern tho that it may happen one day
