Kirby's style has really improved through the years. No longer can he be accused of looking like a funeral director. He's really embraced a wider range of colour.
Another Kent and Haste!! I love to watch hiw skilled and professional they are, but they're alao incredibly down-to-earth and relatable. These are my favorite videos.
The gang in there are wonderful. Collected my new trousers from them a few weeks ago. Mollie struck the pattern; Sury and Terry did the fittings. They are completely first class; can’t recommend them enough. My evening shirts in the army for my mess kit was always Marcella fronted.
It's amazing they use Persian words Seersucker @2:31 from the Persian phrase Shir-O-Shekar, meaning “Milk and Sugar”. When you pour milk into a heap of sugar, you get that wavy texture which is the charactristics in the Seersucker fabric. Again It's amazing they use the Persian word: @8:49 Kamarband کمربند . Any Belt in Persian is called kamarband and not the Tuxedo Belt. To Band بند in Persian means packing or closing.
What wonderful Taylors, I learned so much! from these gentlemen, whom I have the deepest admiration for the scope of their accumulative knowledge, It was so much of a contagious experience, that I spent a whole half hour looking in the mirror for a dropped shoulder, I have to assume that most body shapes have a drop shoulder, while out and about in town I could not help watching to see if my assumptions were founded, all tilts left an right of various degree, confirmed! thank you Kirby for another enlightening Episode, and do thank the Taylors of Kent, Haste and Lachter on my behalf, wonderful work.
Thank you Kirby. I have worked in a busy Level One OR for many year's. Working 5 to 6 twelve hour a day a week( sometimes 7 days when needed )...and loving it. I mention this because like many in the medical world my clothing fashion consists of scrubs and comfy clothes after a sometimes grueling 12 hours. I have little time to go out or dress up so I have minimal " nice " clothing. BUT as others have commented...I will never own a high end suit or clothing but I watch and am grateful for your videos. Life is tough for EVERYONE. Your videos are an incredible way to decompress after a hard day or difficult week. I enjoy watching you task and blend with skilled craftsmen and women around the world.

Michael Douglas' throat cancer was due to his penchant for cunnilingus, and the transferable bacteria in that nether region. Nothing to do with smoking cigars...His wife almost left him due to the implication thst she had a dirty....
Kirby, a suggestion for another video - visit Longmire. Their selection of matching cufflinks and dress studs is incomparable: so elegant and understated.
I sure am! We have a massive, very exciting documentary on Trinidad we’ll be releasing next week ahead of the HWD! Our biggest and best project to date ever!
Kirby who is from Texas ,commenting on how hot it was in England, reminded me when i was in Miami and locals did a same thing about how chilly it was Lol
Excellent! The facing and the quality of the cloth, including the dress shirt, should be spectacular! How about also commission a velvet smoking jacket so you have something nice to wear après-dîner while enjoying a cigar?
Kirby, you resemble the late country and western star Hank Williams. Have you ever thought about taking up the guitar? You would make a great tribute act.
Looking good. i personally prefer my DB dinner suit and off white dinner jacket but then again living in Canada heavy heat and humidity are only problematic in summer when it can be Amazonian! My next one will no doubt be single breasted if the planet keeps warming up and 12oz.. seems to be on the money for more comfort!
Is it purposeful that the blade of your tie is long and showing? I was under the impression the blade should be placed in the keeper and to not be visible. Thoughts?
It’s a trendy thing that seems to Kirby favour. I think for most growing up we were taught to hide it away in the keeper. But it’s an old new tradition
Yeah I'm too OCD to allow the tie blade to extend past the front. I'd retie it just so it would at least match. But Kirby never even slips the blade into the loop on the back. I always did that. In Kirby's case, it's probably just an expression of sprezzatura.
I think their house tweed jacket is among your best commissions...though I'm a bit surprised you didn't go with Henry Poole for this commission, as they originated the dinner jacket
Yes. It was filmed in September of last year. We’ve just finished the third fitting and should be delivering the piece this June ahead of the Habanos World Days.
@@raymondberg7385 Seems so… I go every other year. Can’t say I saw our Kirby though. Although I was pretty busy with the cars and all. I had no idea on the day he was there. Besides, there are a lot of people filming so you tend to switch off to it all.
I’m have a grosgrain shawl lapel SB midnight barathea 12oz dinner suit made by Redmayne currently. Agree with Kirby, no better place to have evening wear made than a British tailor.
hey if they have kirby's measurements already then whu do they need to re measure they can use the measurements they have taken for the linen jacket and use it for the tux and kirby has not put on weight so the trousers will be the same measurements!!!
Anyone else concerned that Kirby's tie length is always off? More concerning still is that the small end is often visibly poking out under the large end.
For the life of me, I don’t understand why Kirby wears his ties that way, with the thin end sticking out like that and longer than the front. Other than that, I am about to relax and enjoy what I am sure will be another great video!
Hi Kirby, your videos are awesome. Small two cents from me, i think it's time to grow out that beard a touch ol boy. A clean trim short beard would accentuate your appearance further.
Terry used to be the MD and head cutter at Huntsman - so the house style for KH is essentially Huntsman (and more true to the original than what either Huntsman or Richard Anderson are now producing)

Agreed. They are my favorite team!

Good to see you back with the crew Kirby.

Beige?
Even if he did dress like a funeral director, there's still a big difference between a well-dressed one and a poorly-dressed one! 😊
Recall, he was called a funeral director by a guy, whose dress is 5 standard deviations outside of the mean.

Waistcoat > cummerbund. Although that tartan one was pretty sharp.
When he asked how traditional do you want to be we all knew that he was going to win with no vent 😂

Its wild that Kirby is able to lose his voice every time in England, this could be studied.

They would need to take different measurements because the style is different, so you need to make sure the points land in the right spots.
Anyone else concerned that Kirby's tie length is always off? More concerning still is that the small end is often visibly poking out under the large end.
In earlier videos he says he likes that as a personal style element.
