This young woman's skin is absolutely stunning. I will do daily. I also have a derma roller. Will do derma roller once per week. Am 54, wear sunblock every day since I was 24, I do tretinoin and vitamin C, botox for forehead and crow's feet, and conservative use of fillers. I am told I could pass for 30's, but time isn't kind and I can tell you I have benefitted financiallyand professionally from working to appear youthful. Sad, but true. It does matter. Ageism is very real and disproportionately affects women more negatively then men.

Thank you so much for sharing your experiences and perspective! I totally feel you-it’s unfortunate that women are held to much different standards than men.
I personally really love beauty, makeup, and skincare and enjoy taking good care of my face and body. But I feel for the ladies who do not enjoy this. Not everyone likes these things and yet they are still subject to the same pressures to look “professional” or “put together”.
It sounds like you’ve taken great care of your skin. ❤️

My skin was glowing; it can also fade pimple marks and hyperpigmentation. Also, my friends noticed that my skin looked so clear and healthy. I have been using NuFace micro current for 5+yr. 5 days a week- just before my makeup. These devices don't take much time- just a habit either at night or morning. I actually used one of those red light heating lamps for a while every night and morning. I started it to help with my sinuses and my stiff neck, but I also noticed that 1) I sleep so much better after using it, like falling a sleep within the 10 min use and overall improved sleep quality was so much better, and 2) I also found it way easier to stand up in the morning, like you said in the video!
I did that for like 6 months when I lived in that one dorm room, and it was easy to set it up there, but afterward I stopped... I really need to do that again actually, this is a good reminder!

I have mild rosacea and other redness from occasional gluten/sugar sensitivities and I find that this mask has definitely helped minimize the redness and overall texture of my skin. Love your video! I started using an OmniLux mask about a month ago, and have seen subtle skin improvement so far.
I also started using it on my hands, for osteoarthritis -- mine has an inflammatory effect although it's not rheumatoid arthritis. The skin over the arthritic area is red from the inflammation. I've found that after using the LED/IF mask, the redness was gone the next morning after using it the night before. The redness started to return maybe 24 hours later, but by using the mask on my hands everyday, the redness doesn't return. (I've since purchased the hand-mitt version for this purpose.) I've had that inflammatory redness for at least six years, so seeing it disappear is amazing !!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that continued use might help other autoimmune issues.

Thank you sooo much for making this video! I bought the Omnilux mask a few months ago before I saw your video, wasn't consistent with it. Used about once or twice a week.
I (had) fungal acne/folliculitis on my right cheek for a couple years that would not go away. I used different products to treat it but would come back.
I also remembered I read an article about led light therapy killing fungus in a science lab experiment. Folliculitis is very tricky to treat, generally speaking.
Because of your video, I decided to be consistent everyday using the mask in the morning. Within a week and especially the second week, my folliculitis had been healing. I no longer have it anymore.
I've also notice my mood being more positive. Having more motivation to finish tasks and accomplish my goals. So Thank you!!!!! For sharing and the inspiration!!!!❤🙏🏻🌻✨😊 I will continue to use everyday!!!!🙋‍♀️✨🌻❤

I work for a young company called PassivaPLT that has developed a new way of delivering photobiomodulation therapy (PBMt): Through a material that converts ambient light (sunlight, etc) to specific red and IR lightwaves and can be added to creams, sunblocks etc. We're in the process of partnering to bring it to market.

I also love my LED mask, I have the Omnilux, pretty expensive, but as you said, we use them almost daily (I use mine probably 5 times a week), so the cost/use is not that huge... Like you I have very sensitive skin with rosacea and I have noticed a significant improvement in the last 3 months, my skin is so much calmer and clearer, especially after I had developed some horrible cystic breakouts (which I assume were caused by the collagen supplements I was taking), and also after spending some months in the merciless African summer. I hope I will also get to see results on some very fine lines that have appeared under my eyes (probably due to that African sun I was mentioning). I am also using the mask on my chest even though it's for the face.
One question though, you said you use it for 20-30 minutes everyday? Apparently using it for too long could potentially be damaging - Claire Johnston on the Honest Channel has some interesting videos about this.

Considering you may have some lipid based products on your skin from the night before? Im curious! And I love that 1 side of the panel started to malfunction and you could see a difference! I also microneedle my scalp once weekly and red light my scalp. They 100% improve my mood, and I have also used it on two injuries. A snapped UCL and a 3rd degree burn on my hand. They both healed extrenely well and fast. I think I had a large pimple on the back of my arm that took longer thsn my burn to heal.

Thank you for this upload. I am a licensed esthetician who is more than familiar with LED therapy. But I had no idea it had the potential to have cognitive benefits in addition to topical. I wonder if this actually has something to do with the technology itself, or if it is from the mental aspect of having a self care step in your routine every morning.
On a non speculating point, it makes sense from a scientific point of view that when the leds went out on one half the results would be notably differnt between the two sides of your face. LED therapy isn't a trend or a gimic. By nature it will always provide results if at the right wavelength. There are no if ands or buts about it. It's a clinically viable and widely used treatment with basically 100% success rate in clients if used regularly. So for those skeptical, it's absolutely worth it. It's one of the few at home technologies that I would endorse. And get the at home version and bite the bullet for upfront costs.
As estheticians we charge from $150 up to over $500 for one LED light session. You need to use this consistently to see results. One session a few times a year won't do anything. Saying it now makes me feel guilty for charging that. Yes, a device could be $500+ but you buy it once. You'd spend close to 50k a year at the low end going in for treatment everyday. Which is how you'll get the best results. Doing it at home is much more economic and ensures you'll keep up with it in the future

I use a hand held Joovv red light unit. Sore muscles, neck….always seems to help in recovery after workouts. And since im 54 I use it on my face and neck, take collagen and no more wrinkles. No old man neck. I swear by it. My wife wants me to buy a bigger size for whole body use.

I’ve been considering getting a red light mask :) my only concern is near infrared. Have you seen any of the research that shows near infrared can damage skin? I know far-infrared is good for us. But yeah, I’ve read a few studies about NIR which has me hesitant.
But I’m also wondering how beneficial simple red light LED without the infrared would be if I found a mask that didn’t use NIR 😅

@amandakate5233: There are numerous studies proving it's safety. The lights are different wavelengths. Look it up. These are used to heal wounds in hospitals.

I'm also using the Boost since quite a long time and I love it. I also have the one for the neck and décolleté and I love it. Any of these devices are rather on the pricy side, that's true but from my point of view it is only expensive if you buy it and don't use it.

100% agree! Compared to getting regular red light sessions at a clinic, it’s actually a great price. Considering I bought this over 3 years ago and use it every day, it costs me well under 50 cents a day. ☺️✨

I have a red light therapy vibrator! Yes, it's essential for women who've had children and for perimenopause/menopause to keep things fresh and working smoothly! It's been amazing for the results. Joylux is the name, not cheap but worth every penny. I'm trying the red light mask next!! Thank you!

As you're so young I assume your skin is STILL good.
Now as a 64 year old Red light user I can attest to its results.. not miraculous but definitely worth using..

Thank you SO much for this video!! As a scientist I love your citations :) I got a Currentbody mask over the holidays but am yet to see clear results. A couple questions:
    1) the instructions state to use on clean skin or with certain serums. Do you think using it first thing (assuming with lotion overnight) has slowed the effects?
    2) my main concern has been potential negative effects on the eyes, as I use it while doing things around the house. I have some mild retinal issues/aging eyes and wondering if you’ve seen anything in the literature re: this, when used 10 min a day.
    Thank you!!!!!!!

Red light definitely has an effect on the retina and most masks have a circular protective barrier in the eye whole area… However, there are certain applications for red light to be healing for retina disorders… There are specific ways in which to use it properly, and most of the clinical trials were for people with macular degeneration. I can’t link anything because I don’t have any specific articles, and it’s relatively new, but Google macular degeneration and red light therapy. :-)
