I know this is an older video now, but I purchased this in 2023, and I love it! Cherie’s review intrigued me so much that I immediately purchased it. I just so happened to get Mon Guerlain Intense on the same day. I sprayed it on one hand and OJ Woman on the other and OMG the two together made my eyes roll back in my head! To this day I layer them together, but wear them alone as well. Trust me, and try the combo! I tend to love woody and unisex fragrances. OJ Woman fades in and out on me. It starts off strong, but then seems to hide for a bit, and just as you think it is gone, it suddenly appears again in all of its heady glory. Beautiful fragrance!!!
Such a relaxing conversation/review! :) I enjoyed listening to your "resolutions" about buying less, a rule "1 in, 2 out" and making yourself accountable in front of the audience. :) I've been discovering a lot of new fragrances through sampling lately, but been and want to stay really conscious about not hoarding too many bottles.
Oooh fab! I just got a massive bottle with a huge discount! Pretty stoked, although I’ll be dead before its finished. 💀Love ormande man too which I have. Both very unisex. The woman is deeper but need to do a proper comparison. Love your collabs guys. Xxxx
I very much enjoyed the video.Such a relaxing conversation, it brought me almost into a meditative state of mind :) Greetings from snowy Madrid! Stay safe!
Ormonde Woman is fantastic. To answer your question when you asked if there's anything to compare it to and the first thing that came to my mind is Chanel no. 19, but a little sweeter. But I do need to revisit no.19 again. Loved watching you both talk about a beautiful scent.
I'm trying this for the first time now after Pep ranting and raving about it ;) It reminds me of a few things immediately: Perry Ellis 360 for women (very unique interesting scent if you dont know it!), CK One, CK Eternity, EA Sunflowers. There is a familiar thread to many 90's fragrances (I know this one came out in 2002) where it's hard to detect notes. The sum of the parts is something completely new. I dont know what I think of it!
17:38 😂 You had to ask Pep? This was a great discussion! Ps, I started a 1 bottle/2 months policy 2 years ago, but I certainly don't think I'd be able keep up with getting rid of 2 for every 1! Cherie's right. That's ambitious! But what I HAVE done is during the time that I'm waiting for my new bottle, I set a goal of spraying 2 mL/day (not including samples), thereby using up ~60 mL every 2 months. So if the bottle I buy is only 50 mL, I'm already down a net 10 mL. An easy way to prevent unnecessary accumulation without sacrificing variety. At least, that's how my brain justifies it. 🧠 😂
From the entire line, this is my least favorite. Tolu is the absolute best imho. I called Ormonde Jayne and asked if they would make an extrait version of Tolu since it doesn’t last on me longer than a couple hours. They told me that they can make a 45% strength bottle for me, they do make bespoke bottles, for $450. I absolutely love Tolu so for me it’s worth it. And wow the strength is now perfect. It was because of Tolu that I started loving Tolu balsams in perfume. Tolu imho is a masterpiece. Ormonde woman not so much. It’s just too green and weird. Not for me. But that’s ok. We all like what we like

Thanks for having me Pep!
Always my pleasure x
I love Ormonde Woman, and am falling in love with a lot more OJ fragrances. Thanks so much for doing a review of this!
I've experienced Montabaco, and I'm currently experiencing Ta'if. This house is beautiful!
I get a grassy mossy badedas type scent in the opening. And moody is right Cherie! Creamy too yes. Loving this chat!

Hyped for a discussion because of the length of the video 🙌

For me it's reminds a lot of Douce Amere by Serge Lutens. Thanks for the review!
Yes, please do a live with Cherie about Serge Lutens (new and old)!
