I can relate. Cleaning helps me. Praying, making doa, talk to Allah. tell myself that some people are worse than me and because I am alive and healthy I thanks Allah. I have a home, I have food. Some people are homeless. after all that thinking, I just come down and read or listen to Coran. remind myself that life a a short journey that will end and there is up and down.Dont forget that we are human and it s ok to feel bad sometimes 😊

Dear Aesha, I don't know if this is for everyone but Doing any charity work helps with the mental health.
You can start just by donating, volunteering in places like the food bank or homeless shelters or sharing your skills in non profit organizations. If you want to go the extra mile, you can create a group and sponsor a refugee to come either to Canada or US who is in a really bad situations, like a small family or an orphan teenager. Just making a difference even if it's small will help in self confidence and reduces stress or sadness you may be feeling.
Hope this helps 🙏 and I wish you happiness in your life ❤.

Nothing you go through in life is ever wasted.
Every failure, every setback is a means to grow and get closer to Allah swt.
Even when your pain is unbearable and you’re full of doubts, never give up. How can you when you know He is with you? His Mercy will follow in sha Allah.

Crying is a natural way to reduce emotional stress that left unchecked has a negative physical affects on the body including increasing the risk of cardiovascular disease and other stress related disorder. Crying is good for your health is not good to keep thing's n that can casue health problems.

Nothing wrong with feeling sad. You have to embrace it before it becomes a pain/issue in your physical body like eczema, back pain, and cysts etc because it’s some suppressed emotion from your emotional body so do what makes you happy that day and cry it out never suppress it.
As much as nature shows us rainy days and sunny days it’s the same way our bodies work it does not mean the rain is bad for you. Teal Swan- How to feel your emotions is an excellent watch about this too

love the way our girl keeps it real with us, Its all about healing with time no matter what we face in life, gratitude and acceptance in situations is the key 😊
“Whenever Allāh wants good for a person, He will give him a drink of medicine in the form of tests and trials, causing such a person to vomit out dangerous illnesses that were within him, until he is shaped, cleansed and purified, thus qualifying him for the highest grades in Dunya; the worship of Allāh, and the highest rewards in the Hereafter; The seeing of Allāh and His closeness.”

When people say mean things to or about you, it’s not about you. It’s almost always about them and their insecurities. Sometimes we want to take things a little personally, because it means that we’re important. But truth be told, people are mostly thinking about themselves. And they don’t care about us as much as we’d like to think they do. For me, this was the best realization. People don’t remember what you wore or said nearly as much as you think about it. Let’s stop obsessing and taking ourselves so seriously.

You did a great job managing a stressful day. We all go through things and you displayed excellent coping skills. Some of them are like mine and others are excellent ones to try. I was sooo jealous 🤔seeing you on the beautiful PCH. I wish I was there especially now. I like to remember something I heard long ago “ All storms don’t come to disrupt our lives. Some storms come to clear our paths to better ways” . It kinda reminds me that we can’t have flowers without rain. Anyway some days we’ll (you and I bc we’re a family) laugh together and some days we’ll cry together but it’s all good in the end. Stay strong, you’re Always Beautiful, Stay safe and well. ❤️❤️💖💖🥰🥰🥰🥰

Like I intentionally get my nails done an hour away just so I can drive and get away from the house, especially already working from home. Charity and making Du’a or reading the Quran or just listening to it helps to calm you so much. Like for example in terms of charity it starts with home and then into the outer community so if you could maybe sponsor a child back in Ethiopia to go to school like nothing big but a small regular donation or to an orphanage is great way of continuous good work and your not forgetting it.
Making Du’a is also good because you have that connection as well as prayer.
Listening or reading the Quran is very calming and you also understand the struggles of those that came before us and how their struggles were so much harder but at the same time you are reminded how merciful your creator is and that everything that happens is ultimately good for you and you just need to continue having faith.

We all go through ups and downs sis, it's the nature of life. Life is all about a test. Stay strong dear!
Amazingly incredible ways that really works the days am feeling down and sad is:
1.Reciting Quran and pondering on the meaning, as many times you could find what you are seeking and what Allah is telling you in the verses. Subhana Allah!
    2. Asking Allah for forgiveness (istiqhfar) and crying out + Making dua
    3. The night prayer ( Qiyam al-layl) after praying then making dua, as dua acceptance is higher and everything is so calmer and its only you and Allah. It does really give a very very soothing effect!! 😭
    4. Drinking plenty of water, it just makes the day refreshing and alive.
    5. Being grateful for what we have and thinking about it and saying Alhamdulilah.
    6. Smiling, even if it's not the way you feel at that moment.
Remember sis its sunnah ofcourse and it's also scientifically proven that it could improve your mood and lift it up, it works as a stress reliever, pain relief, immune booster and releases endorphins that makes you feel better and more positive.
    7. Showering and taking care of yourself. Taking care of your hygiene overall as aysha mentioned
    8. Looking around and pondering on Allah's creation. Like the sea. Even from the flying birds in the sky to trees in the ground.
    9. Sleeping, early to bed and early to rise.

Going out for a drive also helps put me in a good mood and having a good cry in the car with emotional music.

Aisha dear , if you start feel down try to make duaa , then remember there are alot of people's who are in worse situation rgt now , they don't know even what to eat , where to sleep , bad conditions in hospitals or beds can't even able to move , and after that say Alhamdulillah, breath in and out ,and let things go.

I get you're trying to help, but thinking of other people doing worse than you doesn't take away from the emotions that people may currently feeling, nor does it help. When in a "funk" or feeling low mood, feeling through the emotions, journalling, prayer as you mentioned etc are practical and more ideal ways to overcome those emotions

You may focus on highlights of your life and so what. No one should take heat for being selective with who gets access to parts of them. Sadness can be sacred. That being said, thank you for trusting enough to share this. 💞 #subscribed
