Most underrated band in Australia no question! Ben is an absolute genius! Can't believe they are not massive. If it was the late 90's they would have been as big if not bigger than Silverchair. God is one of the best songs I have ever heard in my life!
Also gotta take a minute to say I had never heard of this band before you guys about a year ago. They are among my favorites now and like Johnny, Daisy Chain is a top 5 album for me for 2022. It's crazy how much I have listened to them this year after discovering them. PS I loved Nath just mindlessly staring completely lost in the lyrics and video...tells you how good it is.

i've been binging you guys for the heavy stuff as i have found you recently, but i also do it because i like the fact that you guys are open minded and not like most of the other metal community. you guys do not only listen to or need only heavy music and you can branch out into other genres. clicked on this video not knowing who the hell slowly slowly was and after one listen through this video i can say this song is fantastic and i am going to love this artist and i am going straight to listen to the entire discography. So thanks and cheers
This was unreal, absolutely unreal. I agree with the video taking the lyrics to another level. The video gave it substance, it was impactful, it’s inspiring to show that the smallest aspects in daily life need someone to love them and it’s simply a waterfall effect as to when the decision to love starts and it silly doesn’t end. You don’t need to ask God, but the decision to love, he’s already inspiring you by the choice to do it….honestly amazing.

This is the song that completely broke me, there's only 1 other song that moved me to tears like this and that's "The thing that would save you" by gates. "God" represented a point in my life where I was able to let go of some resentment and hurt that I had been holding so tight to for years. I even made my own little "life flashing before my eyes" video-clip cover. 10/10 song, 10/10 band.
I agree with you Johnny, I hear the song differently now. The two way conversation between Ben and God is so much more obvious after seeing the clip. P.S. If there is one Aussie that can pull off playing God, they found him🙌!!
I love this band and am truly happy I found them through you guys, but I did think the album as a whole was disappointing. The singles (daisy chain, blueprint, nothing on) were fabulous, but I only found a couple of songs from the rest of the album that I liked. I think this song in particular really benefits from a music video to amplify the lyrics and give more context.
