Sean what I love is the more than helpful info you give us about different things, like possible staining from one wood to another. They look fantastic! Congrats buddy! Cheers, Sean P.S- I should be getting my new band saw soon
My friend where did you come from. I mean I have never seen this sort of craftsmanship you are setting another standard here at UA-cam which will be very difficult to compete. I am really fascinated, impressed and will definitely try this in my projects. So much to learn from you. God bless you.
Beautiful...what a big surprise! Haha, just what we've come to expect from you Sean. In my youth, I made a chess board of padauk and white oak, so I really understand what you are concerned about here. Making a pair, was brilliant. Thanks!
Lovely Job Sean 😁. They look great👍. I'm in the process of a project at the moment (simular glue up to the edge banding). With 300 small blocks (about 6 different species)... all cut on exactly the same jig.... but each species has cut differently, so they are all different sizes 🤬. Turns out my blade was slightly blunt. The difference in size is only fractions of a mm.... but it makes the glue up look like a dog's dinner 🙁. So I look at your banding with envious eyes. Lovely Job Sean. See you on the next one 😁👍
Thank you Frank! That does sound like a cool pattern! Definitely get a new blade because that will turn out great. I do have a bandsaw set up video, if that would help?
@@SeanEvelegh Thanks Sean 😁, blade is now changed but it's a bit late for this project 🙁. 😂🤣 I probebly should have watched my own bandsaw setup video I put out on my channel about a year ago 😂🤣😂. It almost looked like i had some idea what i was doing haha 😂🤣Thanks Sean 😁👍.
Stunning Sean.. How in the world do you make the banding match at the corners.. I mean the length of the plywood and banding have to be the exact same. right?
Excellent video. Just found your channel. (music is a bit tough to deal with...lol...sort of like strip club meets cabinet shop...but your content makes the kooky contrast worth it) Thanks for sharing this. Keep up the good work.
Lovely work - you are very talented. It looked like you were using a dado set to cut the rabbits in the frame. Am I right? If so, what brand of saw are you using because saws made and sold in Europe are not allowed to have an arbor capable (long enough) of mounting a dado set? Do you have an American made saw? I am very interested because I would love to be able to mount a dado set.
@@SeanEvelegh Thanks Sean - I just ordered an Itech table saw ( arriving in a couple of weeks and which is very similar in many respects to the Axminster) and hope that it too has an arbor that is long enough to take a dado set
Sean, you are not a carpenter but an artist. Wonderful work.
Lots of good suggestions. Looking forward to more videos on making and using edge banding. Thanks,
Thanks Scott! Glad it was helpful... I'll do more in the future!

yo, this is incredible i'm really impressed
Beautiful work Sean! I love the tip about adding a small strip at the miters, and about Padauk wood "bleeding out!" DD
Thanks Dennis, Really glad you liked it and found the video helpful!
Beautiful piece of craftsmanship.
Thanks Mike! Means a lot!
Nice work Sean don't see this often on UA-cam so great seeing you do this
Thanks Seth! Yeah Inlay is great... so many patterns you can do, It's a shame more people don't do it.
Absolutely glorious
Thanks you

HI Richard, thanks a lot! Padauk is one of my favourite wood... but the sawdust is a pain ahah. Thrilled you liked the matching pair!
Would have love to see a blonde corner spline in that
Beautiful work. It looks elegant and cool at the same time. 👴🏻🇦🇺
Thanks Mark! Glad you liked it!

Hi Selwyn, thank you very much. Yes it is a dado stack. They are actually legal in the uk now. My table saw is an Axminster.

Nice
Thanks
Great video, But irrelevant but what’s that gouge that you use to make the ripples in other projects called?
Bit**
HI Mate, glad you liked it. Its a Pfeil curved neck gouge
By baking paper do you mean wax paper or parchment paper?
Yeah they're the same. that what it's called in the UK
Oh the illegal dado stack
Hi Martin, it's not actually illegal anymore in the UK. Axminster brought out the first dado stack a year ago.
Nine video maby the queen of diamonds mite by one
ahah thanks Bertie! Hopefully ;)
Baking paper is also parchment
