- This is a book summary of The Penultimate Peril by Lemony Snicket in the Series of Unfortunate Events series. This story follows the Baudelaire children as they enter the visit Hotel Denouement and uncover the mysteries of the VFD.

I have seen so many people criticize about how you say Baudelaire, but I prefer the way you say it, and also I LOVE these videos!!!
Rest In Peace Dewy I cried for a whole week because of your death even if you where only in the book for like a chapter or two you will always be remembered 😭
Before this series ends, can I just say that I'm living vicariously through these videos when it comes to reading these books?! These are so satisfying, and the repetitive nature of each book works really well in smaller (cartoony) doses like this.
Thanks. It's been fun to read these books. I'm looking forward to seeing Season 2 on Netflix.

@@toast2139 eventually, i did. i regret it though, because the netflix series didn't follow them and the series was a disappointment. Maybe i would have thought differently if i hadn't read them though...

@@pizzarollpete3446 I just think that some of the small changes made were for the worse, because I actually liked the ambiguity of the ending, and how it left a lot of questions unanswered.
reading the penultimate peril made me cry so much and i remember one of my classmates asking why was i crying so much

Great books evoke emotion in us. Like I mention in my ranking video, the death scene was quite sad and I hope they take the time in the Netflix series to show it. Slow motion and dramatic music.

The Baudelaire’s helped Olaf burn the hotel because he initially planned on poising everyone with Medicaid Mycelium
Setting a fire would alert other volunteers that the last safe place wasn’t safe whereas otherwise: the remaining volunteers would enter the hotel and be poisoned and killed
It was a lesser of two evils
