Having built several cars over the years, I believe if it were mine, I would clean it up, fix any mechanical issues, and leave it at that. It's too cool to butcher up!
Paul just drove that car around town. His family said it was his favorite, because it was just like him. A down to earth normal guy. Im glad you got it!
@coinstalker Hunt Hard idk im not a Chevy guy. But I saw it was a straight six four lug car. So putting any power to it means getting rid of all the original equipment. So kinda spendy. I would try and find an old 327 or something different to put in it. That would be fun.
@@doubleaaaron There is a documentary about paul. And his uncle talked about him cruising in that car. At least it looks like the same car. I did watch it about a year ago.
Build another sleeper as crazy as Farm Truck ! That's one cool wagon , especially being Paul Walker's car . I ran 71 Nova's for 43 years . I had BB and small block cars . Some with nitrous as a street racer . I also ran the Hot Rod Power Tour to the L.A. area with it . Due to a massive stroke 4 years ago , I sold my last one off after 27 years . I have watched You and Farm Truck for quite awhile . I stream everything , so lost track of you guys for awhile now .
Still can't believe he's gone. Its just sad I remember the day like it was yesterday. Its cool that you Guys now own one of his cars! Much love and R.I.P Paul Walker ❤
Yall could reach out to cody walker his brother and ask him if he might know anything about it. He is on Instagram and fb. Super nice guy and he may know. Good luck on it!
Damm I learn to drive in my 63 Chevy ll 6cyl 4 dr 3 on the tree black I put air shocks and some micky Thompson’s tires in the rear!!My first car I paid $125.00 for it back in1972. And it was clean nice red interior ran good but it only had one front wheel that stoped and one rear wheel that stoped I learned brake jobs tune ups just about everything in the car!! Thanks guys you really bring back memories!!!
I love the car! There are several ways you can go with it. I personally like the red and white interior. I wonder what Paul had in mind for it. He had such a wide ranging taste in cars. I look forward to whatever you do with it.
Can't wait to see what you guys do with it. My brother's '63 SS had a Corvette 327 with Corvette steelies with beauty rings, so it would be awesome to see those wheels on it.
Very cool guys ! Got a 64 a 2 door sedan myself. Always thought the wagons were cool. Whatever you decide to do keep us posted. Hope Farmtruck feels better soon.
I'm gonna be the outlier here, and say keep it stock, just as Paul drove it, but do a gentle restoration on it one piece at a time. Keep the motor and trans stock (maybe a refresh), especially keep the column shift manual.
That is awesome that you actually got one of Paul's cars. I can't wait to see what you and the mad scientist (Farm Truck) do with the car. I'm sure it is going to be epic.
That’s awesome Paul walker was a good dude and had a real passion for cars! I heard that his family I think his daughter or sister or someone put all or most of his cars up for sale after he died and he had an amazing car collection and that’s a sweet ride definitely one of my favorite classics the Chevy two two door the shoebox RIP Paul Walker!
Keep the driveline the same!!! I'm restoring a long awaited to completion '63SS. I rebuilt the inline 194 and keeping the 3 on the tree. Nobody does that anymore and it's sad. To many LS swaps take away from the originality. Following this "long roof" for sure!
Thank you for saving the old 194. My parents got a '63 Chevy II 300 wagon (power rear window, power steering and power brakes, 2-speed Powerglide) from my uncle in '64 and I got it in 1981. I drove it and then did a half-assed fix up and finally sold it in the late '90s. I also hate that everyone has to put an enormous engine in these cars - they were economy cars and some of them should stay stock!
I am 60 and I remember being in a 1969 Belaire station wagon watching Escape from Witch mountain in 75 at the drivein! Goodness that makes me feel old!
Since it's not a car Walker was heavily associated with, unlike one of his Skylines, I don't see there's a huge issue in making changes. That said it would be nice to do bolt in modifications so all the stock parts could be reinstalled in the future. Keep the exterior just as it is, underseal the bottom to stop the rust in future since it looks pretty straight and clean.
Stoked for you Azn... and glad it's in Good Hands.. Cheers from Southern California.. Daily driver everyday and Everywhere 68 more door Dart.. Sleepy looking Granny Special.. V8..
That Nova is so bad ass!!! I love how original it is you just don't see them like that anymore since everyone is ripping the straight 6 out and dropping a small block in them and using them as race cars. Well hope you do something great with it.
My first car was a 4 door 64 chevy II 400 with a 230 ci inline six. the only upgrade that it had was a 4 speed manual on the floor. man! this wagon makes me so nostalgic!
Can't wait to see how this project goes. A beefed up Buick Turbo V6 would fit nicely with the 6 cylinder theme, would be quiet, and make quite the sleeper. I love sleepers and with a Buick Turbo V6 would be quite unique.
I had a '65 Chevy II wagon , 283 auto and a '63 Chevy II 2 door that I raced back in the day. (70's) I love Chevy II's, always will. She's just lookin for a little love, PLEASE don't hurt her.

Congratulations, I know you'll do it justice. I had a 62 sedan when I was a kid. Farm trucks older brother 😉. Keep up the good work, looking forward to this build ✌️👍
Nice, I love the Chevyll too, leave the interior and exterior alone, but build a sbc with a blower sticking through the hood, solid transmission and rear, then tub it for massive meats on the back. Can`t wait to see what you guys do with it. RIP Paul, gone way too soon.

We pulled a couple 4” wheels up in the front LOL. But my best friend was killed in a terrible auto accident and I gave his parents my half our car to be sold to pay for Jim’s funeral.
