Nah Scar looks and sounds great.
He looks more like a real lion, which is good.
Scar looks like he has mange and he looks like a total outsider. Bang on I reckon. Can't wait for "be prepared"!

@@charlenerafferty3534 I am not saying I don't like this Scar, he's alright, but I just can't see him as Scar, he looks nothing like him, that doesn't mean I don't like it, don't assume I hate this Scar, I just will always prefer Jeremy Irons.
Well tbh scar is lighter and doesnt have a black mane because lions with black mane are healthy, have high testosterone, and are heald at a higher status in the pride. Scar looks like he should, exiled, roughed up, malnourished... etc.
I love how people get upset because this scar doesnt have a black mane...I don't think many actual lions have black manes and it is a live action version so they were going for a realistic approach.
Some lions have black mane and they're considered more powerful in the nature, so that's why he needed to have a lighter mane.
I love scars new look because in actuality a dark mane states that he's healthy and above social status within the pride. In the original film ,animated film, he was never that. He was the OUTCAST lion - the runt of the bunch. In this new rendition , his albino-ish , weak-ish , frail, homeless look to him is much more logical and further compliments his position/role in the pridelands

They wanted the Lions to all be voiced by black actors/actresses that is why Jeremy Irons was not brought back as Scar, but the voice actor for Scar is Chiwetel Ejiofor and he's amazing, I am disappointed it isn't Jeremy Irons but have all the faith in Chiwetel to do an amazing job.

But that is just stupid. Lions are not humans. Having a white actor does not change anything.
Really cause I know for a fact that Seth Rogen, Billy Eichner, Amy Sedaris and John Oliver aren't black, like at all.

In reality, lions with black manes attract more females and it's a sign of higher dominance.
But in reallity lions dont talk to or sociate with other animals or have christening of their cub..sooo..black mane is not that problematic.
@@IdiotsTalk Idiots Talk well considering the more realistic look they take on this movie, i doubt they would want scar to look like a healthier more dominant male over mufasa. Scar even admits he's on the shallow end of the gene pool when it comes to strength. Disney's just being accurate when it comes to the look. Trust me it's not my favorite aspect about this movie but it's something I can deal with. Also, come on if there's one thing Disney has never changed is that animals can talk and interact. Disney magic XD

Scar is now played by the amazing black actor Chiwetel Ejiofor, Disney did a good job this time, and had black actors voice lions in Africa, that have African names, and his voice is actually deeper than the cartoon, especially when he tells Simba to run, and lions in real life with black manes are very healthy, and have alot of Testosterone

They haven’t fucked up scar. In real life Lions with darker manes are considered healthy alpha males and usually the leader of a pride and scar isn’t this. Scar is battle worn and completely the opposite which is why Disney have stayed accurate to how lions would look in reality as oppose to the cartoon animation from the 90’s. As for Scars voice I think Chiwetel Ejiofor sounds great.

scar will look different because its a younger version of him , if you look at him at the end of the trailer walking up to sarabi he looks like the animated classic because he has aged since he exiled simba , so i think they are keeping him up to date with the animated classic just the older version
scar is amazing looking and how he should be, chiwetel will do a great job because he is a great actor and has that voice, im not gonna get into why the voices should be black but this is africa, this ain't burger king.

I absolutely love Scar's look. People nitpicking about illogical stuff ( illogical since there aren't any dark orange lions with pitch black manes and glowing green eyes in real life) missing the whole message of one of the best movies of all time. Smh

How is slipping your hair like a diva while impersonating scar menesee lol Originally Jeremy Irons did the voice but he didn't leave on good terms with this week so he didn't come back scar does sound menacing in my opinion and as far as his look there are no full black mane lions mix with a Brown body that would look fake and cartoony Google it I did lions with black mains have it start brown around the face and go into black and that's what they did here if u look hard just like Zazu is a type of bird that does not come in blue lol They are fixing colors that they used in the animated film
