Bottega has been one of my most anticipated shows in the past few years. Matthieu has such a fresh, simple, unique point of view. Its youthful but not young, its masculine and feminine in almost equal measure, its artisanal but pressed in that way that only Italian luxury fashion can be. I loved Tomas Maier....I really did...but Bottega didn't feel Italian under his helm. It truly feels like Italian streetwear now, which is so needed. I loved the dresses that draped elegantly under the bust, I loved the sculptural suits that felt almost Berluti-esque, I loved those off the shoulder, almost sporty shifts...they gave me whispers of this moment we're in where day is night and night is day. It was evening wear by anyone's definition, but I can't imagine anyone not wearing it in the city with a coat and brogues. I was a little worried when the first few, extremely basic, looks came down the runway, but it turned into such rich fruit. Fantastic.

тем более большинство вещей можно найти в семейном гардеробе, но конечно главное вкус да и они уловили главный тренд - умеренность и любовь к качеству.
Да и платье пиджак явно развитие темы рубашка платье, скоро будет шуба платье)
Most of this looks wearable, comfortable and super sharp. The excellent use of fringe was especially a standout; but also the leather and color blocking were terrific. The one miss was a few of the over the top shoulder styles on otherwise great pieces; almost no one looks good in gigantic shoulders. Overall an excellent collection IMO.

Loved the last 2 looks, the leather jacket for men tied with a cord, rather than buttons, and the fringed dress in a love shade of aquamarine. And the oval bag.

For some reason this reminds me of some of the collections of Raf Simons at Jil Sander, which to be honest were some of my favourite periods in fashion.

I adore
Daniel Lee has done a good job bringing the Bottega Veneta brand forward and more relatable to the younger consumer fashionistas. Now that Matthieu's stepping in, I feel like he's been doing a good job of bringing that classic Bottega back, moving away from the parakeet green, and incorporating more of the brand's roots towards a more mature audience.
Bottega best show second season in a row, elegant and contemporary. To the big brands that have now turned into gimmicks.... take note

Lovely collection! The fringe is super fun. Love the pops of yellow. I just wish designers would stop over feminizing the men with bags and purses 🤢.
I think that it's less feminisation and more of a merchandising trick to sell more bags.

It’s been interesting reading the comments. Wearable or boring?
I’m pondering whether this is a backlash against fashion as art, which can at times be so extreme it really is unwearable, versus fashion as identity, or something entirely different. I’ve noticed a shift, a subtle change.
Last spring some designers and fashion media were pushing us to change out of our sweatpants into bright colours and outfits made to party. But what I’m seeing on the streets is very different - basics in black, grey and white, subtle colour, genderless, an emphasis on function and comfort, the reemergence of quality over quantity and the expectation that clothing should last more than one season. Many of us have emerged from lockdowns having refined and redefined our style. Dressing to impress doesn’t seem as important as dressing for who we are which, in many cases, is someone just trying to get through the day wearing something my mother would have described as “presentable”. This show would appeal to them.

Sadly, I have to agree. I'm a great fan of the brand as Bottega Veneta's usual footprint is just perfect for my girlfriend' style and character (together with a few others, Fendi and Prada above all) and make her irresistibly classy and beautiful, to my eyes. But not in this case... they had better days. Disappointed.

vai de encontro as tendências de moda, mas não traz nenhuma comunicação para além disso. deve-se notar um certo problema de proporção nas peças, como calças, casacos que não se alinham ao modelo ou trazem um movimento próprio.
mas não deixa de ser uma coleção com seus acertos, como o trabalho com as texturas, a ideia de jovialidade e a "mistura" de elementos da década de 1990 e 2000, como o grunge, o trash e o pop da era das celebridades.

There was so little joy in this collection! Spring and summer clothes should be refreshing. Some garments tried with fringe and tassels. But even fringe can look like armor when overdone.
