This means you are not artistically inclined enough. Whahahaha. In almost every Dior fashion show lately, there is always a group of distractors. Its a smoke screen - don't you get it. When a collection is not "strong" and cohesive sufficiently, a little distraction goes a long way - both on fashion site and on UA-cam video. Classic distraction one-on-one... LOL

What’s happening over at Dior? Can someone educate me please? While many of the clothes are not bad, why did I not feel inspired after watching this? Was there an aspirational aspect to this that didn’t click with me? Why am I not understanding the styling and aesthetic of this show? Was it bit Harajuku, or bit cowgirl, or bit pilgrim, or bit Baroque, or bit artsy, or merely a collection of bits of this and that? Is my vision failing that I’m seeing so many unnecessary repetitive looks and silhouettes that it seems only the fabric was changed? Is there something wrong with me?????
The collection is based on Catherine de Medici, who brought corsetry, platform shoes and Italian lace to France. One of the prints is an old map of Paris they found in the archives. As to the rest of it, I’m just as confused as you.
Madonna on the rocks by Da Vinci is another source of inspiration. But other than that its another collection full of overdesigned boredom mixed with a nice set and amazing dancers.
Clothes=good. Dancers? They are like those street performers that you try and veer away from in case they try to make you a part of their show. A little too weird for me.

Pas grand chose d’élégant : pas des contorsions des " danseurs ", pas la tronche et la démarche des prétendues mannequins, pas toujours les chaussures (ou pompes) et les vêtements ! On se demande si c’est de la mode ou simplement faire parler de la marque !
Can Mrs.Chiuri stop doing all the rubbish dancing throughout her show? The clothes themself are ugly, no need to add more worse flavor. Meanwhile in the show, I kept thinking could a dancer accidentally slap a model face :D it'd be hillarious
Sadly, no dancer slapped a model in the face and such hilarity did not ensue. Sadly I almost fell asleep too, being bored to death by the dullness of the clothes, the dreary black, the anemic beige, and the lace dresses with crinoline under the skirts, it was almost like a slow moving dance show with the grotto church whatever the background was like the set of a Gothic horror show.
House of Dior, always synonymous with Beauty, Elegance and High Fashion. Tragically, it has failed on all accounts in this Collection, too much of a dark & dead (Dante's Inferno) vibe for Spring/Summer, one would never know this is Dior, sad.

There were some beautiful pieces in the collection, but everything moved so fast that I could not appreciate all of the intricate work that went into the clothing. They do not need the dancers either as they are distracting from the clothes. I thought that the whole point of making these beautiful models look drab is so that it would not take away from the clothes themselves. There were times that we barely caught a glimpse of certain outfits as the camera was fixed on the dancers instead. Again, weren't the clothes supposed to be the focus?
I usually love watching Dior shows - this just felt boring, Dior is so much better then this! This feels repetitive and trying to push the "timeless look". I only enjoyed a few outfits, personally.
Great collection and great labour of yours but one note aside : please try don't change the original music from the shows. What is the reason of this? copyright issues?. Is quite obvious in the last runways, particularly in some like D&G F/W men's collection with Machine Gun Kelly, and this one by Dior. The presentations of live singers and dance routines, like this amazing one, make it more notorious. Just think about it. Thank you.
I'm sorry but it took SO MUCH EFFORT to look beyond the awful stage set and badly filmed modern movement to see the clothing. This show is a miss. Some nice pieces of clothing tho.

Possibly her best effort yet, the short crinoline dresses were beautiful and I really liked the shoes. It did have a little bit of Sarah’s McQueen but I didn’t mind it. Yeah... it wasn’t bad, I lowkey enjoyed it.

Fashion for Wednesday and Morticia Addams? Some exquisite lacework / embroidery but sent along so fast there’s no time to appreciate the skill. I’m always suspicious when a designer relies on a fancy set - plus, in this case, some horrible choreography - and it was wasted: the clothes were interesting enough without all the flimflam.
The only thing I would like to wear is the jeans. Dior jeans, overpriced but still kinda cool, like its so unexpected for a house like Dior to make jeans.
