Islamabad museum has all the information - Where the huge Islamabad exist today it is made on thousands of mini villages, the closest was Burri Imam and Shaker Pardiya etc. Back in days there was no city but thinly populated villages almost all jungle. It is something like New Delhi - When New Delhi was built British govt removed many villages and settled most of villagers *mostly Muslims* to west Punjab -- that is now part of Pakistani Punjab
That city still growing in all directions, almost touching Margalla Hills, Rawalpindi, Taxilla, Murree and nany more. Initially was Burri Imaam, Shakker Pardiya and Golrah Shariff

Before 1960s, Karachi was old Pakistani capital and Indian High Commission was here. It later shifted to Islamabad .
In early 1990s Indian consulate Karachi was ordered to closed down by Pakistani government.(after Pakistan shifted its capital from Karachi to Islamabad, Indian embassy in Karachi was made consulate as new embassy was built in Islamabad).

Indian embassy would have shifted to Islamabad after it (Islamabad) was declared the capital of Pakistan.
Now Karachi has an 'Indian counsulate'.
Embassy is different from consulate brother. British ruled countries' only have embassy and they are called ambassador. In other countries it's consulate and they are called consul general.
Karachi lahore islamabad .. every where indian embassies are there ...this was old colony between crowd surrounding .. thats why shifted to new safe areas in Karachi for safety reasons only..

Pakistan ka capital Islamabad shift ho janay kay baad, Deputy High COmmission / Consulate ban gaya hoga yeh makaan. Embassy sirf capital mein hoti hai. ZIndian government ney property ki ownership apnay paas rakhi hogi 63 kay baad, magar renovate nahin kiya hoga kyunki ab woh sirf Consulate hai aur Embassy nahin. Consulate kay function bohot kam hotay hai Embassy sey. Mulkon kay rishtay badaltay rahtay hai, magar aisa honay sey Embassies / Consulates band sirf jab diplomatic relations toot jatay hai tab hoti hai. India ka Karachi Deputy High COmmission / Consulate ka ab India House, Fatima Jinnah Road, Civil Lines, Karachi ka address diya jaata hai. Gaurav Ahluwalia Deputy High COmmissioner ka naam diya jaata hai.
Rishtay kharab honay kay pahlay, Indian government ki khwahish thi idhar ek educational aur cultural center bananay ki, magar woh ab kab hoga, uparwala hi jaanay. Dua hai ki rishtay jaldi acchay ho jayein aur iss property par Indian School ya waisa kucch ban jayein jaisay ki bohot mulkon mein hai. Aap zabardast kaam kar rahay hai aur bohot sey Indian forums par aap aur meray dost Sameer Bhai kay Vlog ki tareefain ho rahi hai. Hamesha khush rahiyay.

Jaise India aur Pakistan ka ek dusare ke yahan Ambassy nahi, High commission hota hai, jo ki sirf capital city me hota hai, jaise Dilli या Islamabad. Baki shehron me jo office hote hain counsulate kehate hain. Karachi me Indian Ambassy nahi Indian Counsulate tha ya hai.
