    Mike Pondsmith pulls off pink studded earrings without a hitch, what a badass.
    EDIT: Best interview I'm seen Brian just let Mike talk instead of constantly interrupting with stupid questions.

    Listening to Mike is like eating a rich, flavourful dessert and having the best coffee of your life after a good meal with your closest friends. He's the apex predator of vocal ASMR while delivering great stories and inspiration :-)

    The fact that Mike was still working on cleaning up the editing of CP2077 just four months ago shows that it still needed a at least a year of production.
    I love the game so much. I wish I could have worked on it. I hope to meet Pondsmith one day.

      Assuming you're talking about 16:09 I believe he was talking about RED, not CP2077 there.

    Glasses look straight out of Shadowrun ( which wouldn't surprise me if it was inspired by cyberpunk)

      He did apparently in Cyberpunk 2077, just watched an interview where he was talking about voicing a character. Didn't say much about it though. But he will be in the game.

      @@RomeHam 2 years later im sure you already know this but he voices Maximum Mike, his own character from the tabletop game who is in 2077 as the DJ for Morro Rock Radio.

    Wow this is happening, the exploitation portion Mike was talking about. All this crazy stuff going on political wise, but America citizen for the most part are distracted by the latest celebrity scandal, sports and social media platforms like tik tok

    I like Mike, but man, he's is wrong about history. Tokyo was never hit by a nuke. He's confusing that with Hiroshima (August 6, 1945, Little Boy) and Nagasaki (August 9, 1945, Fat Boy). I wonder what else he learned from WWII.
    Update: I was informed by many comments down below that Mike was actually saying that "Tokyo wasn't hit by a nuke". After carefully listening to what he says contextwise, it made sense. The audio quality and the auto caps put me off.

      Oh you missed heard ( 41:38 ), he said that fire bombs were to blame for the damage, basically. That's because the housing and some buildings in Tokyo were still made out of wood and other flammable materials. The city was carpet bombed by the US and that's what Pondsmith was referring to. Hope this clarified it a bit!

    • @tibielias
      @tibielias 4 роки тому

      Thanks for marking it, so I didn't have to look for it again. He says: "...Tokyo was even hit by a nuke...". Let me tell you that firebombing something and hitting it with a nuke are two different things.
      I give him the benefit of the doubt that he meant Japan and not Tokyo, then again in reality it wasn't only one nuke that hit Japan.

    • @OperationTexas
      @OperationTexas 4 роки тому +3

      @@tibielias He never said it was hit by a nuke. I swear to you, go to the time stamp, turn the volume up, and listen carefully!

      I still come to same conclusion he says: "yeah and Tokyo was even hit by a nuke"
