The 2024 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio Is A Ferrari Powered Italian Super SUV
Вставка
- Опубліковано 26 лип 2024
- The #AlfaRomeo brand was off to a slow start when it first came back to the US about a decade ago, but the brand's best-selling #Stelvio gets a bunch of big changes for 2024. We spent time showing you the #StelvioCompetizione and the #Ferrari powered #StelvioQuadrifoglio and while other luxury SUV's are more refined and spacious, none of them comes close to the raw and visceral feel that you get when driving an Alfa.

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas everyone! Hope everyone is enjoying a relaxing and fun day with friends and family today! Please excuse the sound of Sofyan's voice in this video. Its a review we filmed back in Oct when he was feeling a bit under the weather and has since made a full recovery. Also, wanted to clarify that the walkaround and interior scenes were filmed with a Stelvio Competizione, while the driving scene on the track was in the Quadrifoglio! We couldn't pull the QV trim off the track bc it was the only one Alfa had and it was being used on the track all day long for media drives.
@theredline Hi. Does it have an EV version? Thank you and Happy Holidays!
So why not just say 2024 Stelvio?? Save from having to clarify. Didn’t do yourself any favors by putting “Ferrari powered SUV” on the wrong model in the thumbnail. Surely you would be able to tell the difference like you allegedly can between cis and trans people 🤷🏼♀️
Glad to know Sofyan recovered well. Great review as always.
nevjerojatno,pa na stazi voziš u automatik modu a imaš te jebene šiferice pa ih koristi i uživaj brate mili
why equivocate? if theres a better driving SUV in its class why not name it? (instead of stressing how old the chassis is)...even if it came out in 2017 its STILL the best driving SUV...if theres something that drives better, name it.
Best friend has a 2021 quatrofoglio as a daily and tracks it at least 8 times a year. Literally no issues at all. And I drive it recently - no rattles creaks etc. Gotta hand it to Alfa for making a solid machine.
They are very fun. I really enjoy the Alfa’s especially in America where there’s so many BMW’s and Audis etc an Alfa does stand out as something you don’t see so often. Especially the quadrifoglios
I've got a 2018....it's been flawless for the 5 years I've had it
I also have a 2018 Giulia Quadrifoglio, has also been flawless!
I have a 2020 Giulia Quadrifoglio- it’s also flawless
I don't have either...yet, but they're also flawless 😅
Only owners or pass owners should be talking about Alfa. Got a 22 with 87k miles and not one problem. Use it as my daily driving over 100 miles a day and flawless.
What are the odds. Astronomical.
I’ve got a 2019 Stelvio and I’ve never had one problem with it. Even the white leather seats look very good.
You put 87k miles in one year?
I’ve had a leaky water pump within warranty now at 85k km. Nothing else went wrong and still feeling like an almost new car. The attention I get from my clients as a designer was worth it alone for this beautiful piece of design statement and it was a Christmas gift from my wife.
This vehicle is still so gorgeous. Aged like wine
I have a alfa stelvio 4 cylinder 2022
No issues at all
Much better than all the Germans car( had all of them)
It’s amazing times we live in when majority of people would trust an Italian vehicle over a German one!
I absolutely love the tail lights on this new Alfa. The clear altezza like tail lights with those red leds look amazing
Like a Pizza.
My 21’ Stelvio Ti Sport has been a blast with zero issues. Uncommon on the road, fun to drive in any scenario, and practical. Main complaints would be a whisper quiet exhaust (no sport option from factory) no ventilated seats (Phoenix), and poor backup camera. Quad is up next without a doubt 🍀
The nice thing about the Stelvio is that you can get the 2018 model and not miss out on much from the newer models. It's such a good design, same goes for the Gulia.
It's going to be a great shame for Alfa Romeo to drop the Giorgio platform...it's one of the best out there and gives the perfect driving experience.
A lot of platforms will be dropped because they couldn't be converted to Hybrid or EV.
Manufacturers wants to invest in a platform that is more adaptable for the future.
Stellantis is way behind on their Avg corporate fuel economy across the brand and they need to comply with regulatory bodies in EU and USA. Maybe even China.
The Tonale/Dodge Hornet is an example.
literally the best in its class...only some true sports cars can claim any better handling. only thing wrong with them is no manual option
@@AlbertManiscalco my giulia is a manual but I'm in Germany
@@vlajster hasn’t been sold with a manual since 2019 and never in the US thanks to that idiot who used to be on top gear who shat on it
Thank you for the video and Happy Holidays!
I’ve had a Guilia for almost 3 years now. ZERO issues. None.
Fighting a cold man? Hope you feel better! Great review as usual :)
Just purchased! I love it!
Congrats on 1 million subs.. you earned it man
I think the reliability issues have been resolved since the vehicle has remain mostly unchanged minus some face upgrades. I think after 2020 the issues were all resolved.
keep up the excellent reviews! 🎉
This is one of the best, unbiased reviews that I’ve seen
The Italian cars and Italian motorcycles are some of the few out there that still ooze manliness. Aggressive and sexy styling, a rowdy exhaust note, and unapologetically Italian. You’d think the vehicles run on premium grade testosterone
I have a Giulia Quadrifoglio in Montreal green but I ended up getting a Stelvio 2.0 in addition. I just felt the 2.0 was more easy to drive and playful. Quad felt too stiff like when I take my foot off the gas pedal the car stops very quickly it doesnt keep rolling. The steering was also very nimble for 2.0 so I bought that as my daily driver and now have it for 4 years.
Here come the reliability comments 😂
You obviously acknowledge it’s an issue if you’re preemptively making this comment lol
@@chibbyylol I don’t think it matters but everyone else who sees Alfa or any European brand think unreliability first
@@naveenthemachinelooking at 2023 consumer reports brand reliability report, out of the top 10 brands: 6 are Japanese, 3 were European and 1 Korean.
So it wouldn’t be too inaccurate to say ‘most’ European brands are unreliable
@@chibbyylolOk every European brand from Italy, France or England is unreliable. The only people in Europe who can build cars are Germany.
new ones arent that bad
I miss this car every day. Had a red 2022. Endless compliments while driving. Steering feel & power that could make your eyes roll back. Just in need of better dealer service quality that fits the luxury pricing.
Zero reliability issues unlike current Stellantis degraded products, but you mainly suffer most from the lack of dealers and lack of service perks vs every other brand costing the same.
What made you decide to get rid of it?
@@myemailiscoolthat’s what I was wondering
@@myemailiscool Awful dealer service, and knowing longer term with that, for being $93k…I’d rather my money be in a better brand where service & loaners ease is key, as I travel. Simplification of fleet as well. These are $92k+ new so…
@@bigdlife86 That's valid. When I brought in my 3 series for service last month they had a bunch of cool loaners available, like an i4 or M550i. It was nice
@@myemailiscool Exactly. And when you’re someone who can afford cars of this level…you’re usually working, traveling or busy. Loaners & easy high end service is key. Alfa? There’s so few dealers, it’s tough. The Stelvio & Giulia at least are well built & great, but…yikes to service.
Insane SUV Sofyan!
Merry Christmas to you and your family, Sofyan. All these SUVs look pretty much the same to me.
This car is truly beautiful.
I have exact same color 2021 TI sports and the only issues that i dealt with is battery replacement and each oil change cost me $350 at the dealership.
Other than that, it drives and handles beautifully❤
Very close to a million subscribers 😏😎🥂
I always thought the Guilia, and Stelvio were nice but the one of the things that held them back in terms of sales is that they don’t have a mid tier, 6 cylinder version with AWD to compete with the M340i, S4 etc.
I'm in the same boat.
Althought Stellatis tries to Brand Alfa as a Luxury Brand and priced their cars that way, but I am not sure if people in America really look at the brand in the same league of BMW and Audi.
Agreed. The new low output 3.0 i6 in the Wagoneer is a phenomenal engine. Would be perfect in this.
I had this 2019 lease in a Ti trim. Android screen had issues many times. But rhe car was fun to drive in sport mode
Fun fact: that little “cubby” just to the right of the gear shift lever is a great spot to securely insert the butt-end of your Alfa key to secure it as you drive!
I think that’s what it actually was intended for.
Yes, it was , as stated……
@@eddiew.6485 sorry, it just sounded like you had solved a great mystery. "Is a great spot" should maybe then read "is intended" to avoid ambivalence.
Why are you calling this a quadrifolio in the thumbnail? This is not that…
Without the clover badge it’s pointless.
Love the color!💯
Cooled seats a must here
Happy Holiday, you are working so hard
Odd.....
2021 Guilia used for 37k @42k miles. I want it for the fun so I might just pull that trigger
11:33 “There’s a large hump here for the rear driveshaft of course so the middle passenger is going to be shafted a little”
I see what you did there. 😉
I have a 22 and you can use your phone to start, lock and unlock the vehicle.
Does it drive better than the Porsche Macan?
Yes. More percise, engaging, exhilarating, and characterful. Really not a competition imo. The Stelvio is mind blwoingly good. I owned a B9 S4 for years and the steering and chassis dynamics of this SUV blows it out of the water. The macan is just a tuned Q5. Look under the hood of a Giulia or Stelvio and you will see the engine is almost completly being the front axel. In addition to that you will noticed the strut mounts are very thick and close together which is part of Alfas patented Alfa link front supenion. That chassis paired with the quick, light, communicative steering makes for the best driving SUV ever made.
Such a good-looking SUV!
I own one and it is solid as hell, maintenance is no Toyota but it’s nothing crazy.
Im in NYC. This suv would be perfect for me. Since it’ll always be in the shop I won’t have to worry about parking. 😂
cool story bro. very unique and original
@@AlbertManiscalco shout out to 🤡 like you taking time to read it and reply.
Dude, that helmet and red hood - never take them off
Holy wheel gap. Never been one to notice, and certainly not one to ever consider lowering but that huge gap is really sticking out. mmm otherwise beautiful car and of course as always great review.
i think it looks that way more because of the lower than average profile tires and they look amazing when lowered a bit
It’s a genius car. It has NO competitors.
sadly will only truly be appreciated once they're gone...typical :/
What a gorgeous car ? Never owned one, but how does this stack up vs. Audi/Porsche ? I have a Lexus, which has been ROCK SOLID but not as quick.
MERRY CHRISTMAS ⛄🎁
color 👍👌
FRAGILE.....I must be Italian!
It'll be the best looking car in the service department!
Does it drive better than the Porsche Macan?😀
Absolutely! And it doesn't push in the corners like the Macan does. Unless face it. You can't beat the Italians interiors
20 min of Video… of which 13 min of the interior.. 2 min driving the Quadrifoglio in automatic mode on track😭😭! Top review. Pls go with Yours Tesla machine. You will deserve it.
13 Alfas in my life, 2 quads never any issues. Reliability issues has always been a myth in the US.
I recall Jeremy Clarkson reviewing an Alfa years ago. He forgave all its faults because “it’s an Alfa”
And he immediately went out and bought a Giulia Quadrifoglio after the review because he loved it so much.
The paddle shifters would be annoying for me for daily use. I know they're cool, and I appreciate the fact that they're aluminum, but I'm on the street not on a track, so yeah..
Also the way Stellantis explains it there will never be a Alfa Romeo bigger than the Stelvio. The size is meant to be Tonale then Stelvio then if you need more space that's where they push you toward Maserati with the Grecale and then the Levante as the biggest. I believe when they explained it they called the Alfa Romeo the A and B and the Maserati the C and D Class in terms of size and where they sit against each other. The Grecale is only slightly bigger than a Stelvio but smaller than the Levante by 6 inches.
actually america will get a bigger E class SUV once the brand goes electric. look it up
maligayang pasko
Is the last year before the full refresh of the vehicle, they weren't going to spend money changing the infotainment system and having to redesign the inside for an outgoing design. It's supposed to look like a bigger version of the Tonale with the upcoming refresh. I call these type of updates "Life Cycle Impulses (LCIs)." They aren't meant to be fully refreshed, but just enough changes to call it updated.
Rumba, it's completely outdated, old style interior in regards to the pricing they ask for it. Lack of quality materials and dealerships make this brand not competing with other luxury German brands.
@@JennTrotterTrue however in Alfisti fashion, the interior and tech are not what makes an Alfa an Alfa. It’s the driving emotion that it provokes is what Alfa Romeo is known for.
It’s ridiculous to have such crappy software. My personal exhaust farts too
Me pressing this video wanting to hear about the quadrifoglio…….☠️
Looks like a Mitsubishi Outlander Sport.
There’s no excuse for having manual tilt , no HUD or ambient lighting at this price.
Re titled Review of Stelvio Veloce
I can’t believe after all these years you never tested a Plaid. Crazy.
Because it has zero character, handles like brick, just fast.
Hey Sofyan, could you review a boiled egg next?
lmfao
I think he’s already reviewed Hyundais
Time for Dodge to get something from the FCA deal snd shove this engine in the next Durango.
2l most powerful engine in its class? They forgot there is an amg M139 engine that will blow their car out of the water in terms of bhp
No body roll?
Sofyan got that white lung….I had it for 3 weeks from start to stop. Totally lost my voice.
Who?
@@RLTtizME sofyan, the dude who runs this channel
@@Nunyobidne55 Who?

@@Nunyobidne55 Not always tho.
Alfas always seem to give you sore throat mate
This will make a GM car seem like the most reliable thing out there.
2024 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Q4 Competizione!
I don’t drive a car from the outside so $1750 would stay in my pocket
I would run away from this SUV. Merry Christmas Everyone!
👍 agree
why would you run away, its an amazing suv ,and excellent sound
I leased a 2018 Ti Sport. After 2 years and 30k miles, I had no issues. It is the best handling SUV in its class and it's not even close. The infotainment was disappointing back then, but it's absolutely unacceptable now.
what year did u have and what issues
the front looks like a rhinoceros that''s been de-horned! 😅
there should be a button on the dash where you can make fake blood pour out of the opening! 😅
That seems ridiculous.
this is not a QV...
The track portion of the vid is.
Does it still have the horrible delayed accelerator pedal response of the 2.0LT? Oh and the annoying turn signal stalk? And the laggy Apple Carplay? And I will never understand why they STILL use the elastic cargo net style storage behind the front seats that end up sagging after a few years.
If you not gonna get PPF don’t get matte paint. 😂🤷🏾♂️
That's one really sweet Mazda CX-5
No love for Maserati?
Not a QV!!!
The track portion is the QV.
😂
Depreciate like a brick and then when you try to resell them, they sit like bricks.
What a hideous front end, reminds me of a Pontiac 😅.
Your voice has been rough the last 3 months. What’s going on?! 😂
This is not the Quadrofoglio model.
NO QUADRIFOGLIO... COMPETIZIONE
That voice 😢 you need water n dayquil n rest 😅
My name is Giovanni Giorgio, but everybody calls me Giorgio.
For $60k only 240 hrp no grazie
Oh the depreciation and reliable comments 😆
The clueless are very diligent commenters : )
Beautiful JUNK, because the Jeep Cherokee is not crummy enough, let's add the worthless overhype engines in the world, or you can also get the "mass erratic" version.
It’s a beautiful suv but keep a bike in the back. You know why 😉
Garbage
BMW x4m

Jaguar f
Entirely too dated
Dashboard is absolutely outdated, need urgent upgrade☝️☝️☝️😄
Don't buy it. Nobody wants a new car that's already obsolete (USB A?)
Why people still bying thus car? Don't get it. Alfa Romeo look at Mercedes and learn how interior should look like 👊☝️
Best handling and dynamics in class, and no ability to play angry birds on unnecessary big screens
Benz interiors look nice but have iffy build quality with creaks and rattles.
Because the people who buy this car are petrolheads. People who buy Mercedes and Japanese/korean they are not drivers, just interested in tech
No mounting point for the front tag. Especially weird considering its a European brand and they all require front tags. A poor design.
They should design the entire car around the front license bracket...that would fix it.
It looks like a cheap Kia overall.
I dont understand why you dont review maserati? Are you scared they might shoot you for saying something bad?
The lack of surround view camera is just so meh. Cant even take it seriously as a “luxury” car between that and only black interior options.
You can choose many colour options! I have a tan interior
