The bug report was right, it's the 3D model with the ammo boxes that is wrong. It's a belt fed gun and the loaders just need to keep feeding the belt to keep the guns firing, no need to stop and reload when you can just hook on a belt as it fires

@@BruceR266 belts are long enough so that the end doesn't rattle around too much, and since it's not that hard to hook on the belts, ut can be done somewhat easily. PLUS ! You wouldn't just Hold the trigger constantly in real life
Not belt fed, feed strip. Feed strips can be reloaded without stopping the gun, much like the bofor using clip hopper system. Easy to do when feeding one gun. Harder to do two at a time as vehicle like this would normally have a loader on each side.

Who remembers when this thing had a magazine that needed reloading every 3 seconds.
And if you lost a crewmember your reload was like 20 seconds (even worse when swapping shell type)
I remember it perfectly, that was why I did not use this antiaircraft tank, now I love it, it is my favorite
i used to really love to use this when it reloads every 3 seconds, its my favourite AA currently infact, but my PC is broken so I cant play.
It had a higher BR or same as R3.
The Insta Kill By the SARC at the beginning of the match had me dead 😂
12:02 People were complaining too much that you couldn't hear planes, so Gaijomnb in their infinite wisdom decided to make planes SO loud you can't hear anything else anymore once one is up.
Even if that plane is 596 light years away.
Well low flying prop planes are pretty damn loud.
Phly, for earing the engines:
- set self engine sound to 20%
- set other players engine sound to 100%
- set effects, music, etc to 20%
- play with master sound to have effects, musinc, etc. to correct volume.
you just boosted the other player engine sounds by x5

@@teun911 The issue is that the base volume of other tank engines isn't normalized to your own, so even with min volume on your own engine, it will still drown out other tanks' engines in many cases while you're moving.
The whole sound engine is so sloppy and fucked. The sounds are also notched so they can only come from a finite number of directions. Like the notches on an N64 controller's analog stick. If you want to know where someone is approaching from, you have to swing your camera around and "feel" where it notches to home in on where they actually are. There is also no vertical sound component, so someone 20m above you on a cliff sounds like they're revving their engine right in front of your face.
If they'd just toss out their hubris and hire an industry sound specialist to rework the spatial audio and the EQ/balance of the sounds, they could make the game sound fantastic. But no, they think they can just fudge anything themselves. It's also all super range-compressed when multiple sounds stack up so that everything smashes together into a soup. Most of the game sounds, like explosions and cannons and engines, also have this same low-mid frequency information so they all build up into mud if two or more things are happening at once.
It's a mess.

Me : gets one shot across the map through 30,000 bushes and over hill from a Leo in the back of the map with thermals.
I swear in most his videos the enemies are braindead. I've never been able to pull flanks as good as his as everyone is constantly checking their six and hearing me from miles away.

I've had some decent flanking moves where I got like 2, maybe 3 bad guys dead without being noticed but you're very quickly overstaying your welcome. I can't recall hordes of idiots just lining up sideways to cluelessly get one-shot.
Phlee, play the I-185 (M-82) for CAS. It is WAAAAAY underrated (3x20mm with powerphul AP + bombs/rockets). It's also really phast.

literally a gepard but at 3.3, 640 rounds, 64mm pen, it only needs a radar to be 8.0

This change was introduced in the recent Direct Hit update, I read the change logs and was surprised to find this one in between all the other changes. Since im somewhat new to the game I regularly play the m42 and even before this update it was crazy good
This SPAA system is really good but it runs out of the 640 rounds to quickly sometimes and puts you in a bind to find a zone captured by your team to get to so you can reload. It is very destructive on aircraft and I do enjoy playing it.
The other problem is that it seems to use only one belt, so only one type of ammo can be selected.

Tried to add a link to an online news article about old military equipment that some may find interesting but for some reason it keeps being deleted, any ideas why? Also what’s interesting is when the Germans were designing new spaag such as the Wirbelwind they did actually take the Italian prototype m42 to Germany with them - it is theorised that the wirebelwind came from this.
since the spam bots, youtube has blocked urls to other pages unless it's by the creator of the youtube video you're commenting on. at least that's what i've been observing.

Back in the day this thing used to have like 7-10 second reload (while Wirbelwind with more ammo had like 3 second reload).
Finally this thing will be useful.
At the same time looks like the overall ammo count decreased and with one continuous belt...yeah, that's gonna run out fast.
